The wardrobe body measures 34.25" wide x 16.25" deep. The crown molding at the top measures 39.75" wide x 20.25" deep. This has a single door fronted by a beveled mirror. The mirror is in good condition and there is a small area that the molding that holds it in place was replaced. This can be seen in the last photo. The inside has mounted hooks around the top. There is no rod and there are no shelves inside this unit. There is a nice deep single drawer at the base that has dove tail joints. Age: 1850-1899 This stately piece is designed to break down so that it can be easily moved. The side doors are bowed in shape and curve back at the sides. They are exquisitely designed with a marquetry. Beading with a pattern of Cross Cut Walnut in the center framed the doors. A beautiful oval medallion with an urn full of flowers at the center decorates the tops of the side doors. The marquetry work is incredible. In addition, it is crowned with a decorative scroll-work topper. The final assembled height is 7 feet. It is a little over 4 feet wide and approximately 18 inches deep. It comes in 4 parts- a stand. Vintage French Armoire with Beveled Mirror brought from France early 1940's Purchased in store this beautiful armoire from a lady whose mother bought it in France late 1930's. Ear;y 1940's. In very good conditions, very heavy and made out of threee parts: the top part which is hand carved for decorations purposes, the actual armoire with beveled glass and carving around and the bottom part which is large drawer. The armoire has not been refurbished, has normal wear, original handles, knobs and missing the key. Availalble in our store in Burbank for viewing. Only local pick-up but we can help with shipping working with the buyer to find a shiiping method. We prefer the buyer to make the arrangements!

French 1900 Antique Carved Walnut Armoire. Shaped Beveled Mirror Doors. Item# B-19779. All original. This French walnut armoire or wardrobe from around 1900 has a magnificent hand carved shell motif crest. The original warm brown finish is extremely well preserved on this superior quality furniture from France. Waxed and buffed. All that is needed to maintain its warm patina is an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth. Diamond matched panels and curved sides are beautiful. The key is a handle only. The lock on the door does not work. Lift off hinges are original. The interior is oak and birdseye or curly maple, the shelf adjusts on wooden supports and interior depth is 16 1/2. More shelves or a closet pole could be installed if desired. Measurements are 65" wide. 22" deep and 8' 10" tall. The matching bed and nightstands ... morein photo are priced and sold separately.
