Antique vintage armoire wardrobe waterfall--closet cedar lined--5 drawers
A pre-owned armoire wardrobe with original casters- in the waterfall design from the art deco period. A metallic gold seal inside the top drawer reads Hooker Bassett Seal of Quality. Stenciled on the back is XO 30 ROBE. It is 36" wide x 60" tall x 20" deep. With inside closet measurements of 20" deep x 16-1/2" wide x 56" high. The drawers are dovetailed and four drawers are 15-1/4" x 14-3/4" x 8" deep. The fifth(top) drawer measures the same accept it is 6" deep. The mirrored top adds 6" to that side height measurement. Overall, the original casters add 2" to the height. They also make it easy to move. The knobs and pulls are of a white metal with marbleized pink thermoplastic decoration-celluloid or Catalin. Etc. It is a quality wardrobe in very good solid condition. There are very ... moresmall pieces of veneer missing mostly on the bottom. There is a tiny piece missing on the top edge of the third drawer down and a crease in the front of the second drawer from the top. The mirror has some small issues. This piece was purchased by my mother as a place to keep her many crochet projects and to store her completed afghans. It served her well over the years. All her things are being sold off. A gorgeous mid-century Birds Eye Maple Wardrobe with Mahogany on the inside. We are pleased to present this beautiful Wardrobe for your consideration. The exterior is primarily Birds Eye Maple with areas of decorative veneer. Plus there is a narrow mirror running down much of the center. The interior is lined with Mahogany, and features two areas of different heights for hanging garments, plus one upper shelf for accessories. The piece has some Art Deco features, but dates to the 1940's or 1950's. The Wardrobe measures 74 inches high. 48-1/2 inches wide, and 22 inches deep(which includes the curved surface on the front doors) The piece is in fine shape and ready to be used. There are occasional signs of wear as would be expected on a used piece of furniture. But nothing major. There are some small nail holes near the handles on the ... morefront, but they have been filled in with wood filler and are not very noticeable. The interior shelf has contact paper on it which we have left in place. The interior is clean and odor free. This vintage chifforobe is a closet. Wardrobe, armoire all in one and is early 1900's bedroom furniture, as is evidenced by the mushroom drawer pulls, the sideways clothes hanging closet and brass Yale drawer lock. It is solid wood and uses half-blind dove tail joints. Measurements: Overall: 37 inches wide. 20 inches deep and 56 ¾ inches high. Knobs: 1 1/8 inches deep/ Drawers: 18 inches wide. 9 ¾ inches high-all except top drawer which is 6 ¾ inches high. Door: 15 ¾ inches wide and the inside is 19 inches deep and 15 ½ inches wide. Note that along the inside closet by the door hinges are cracks in the wood and the exterior has wear marks. Which can be seen in the photos. I don’t have a key for the lock. Thanks for looking. Vintage Cedar wardrobe closet armoire, Lakeside Craft Shops, Sheboygan, Wis.
THIS IS FOR LOCAL PICKUP ONLY A pre-owned cedar wardrobe tagged inside with a metallic label from Lakeside Craft Shops. Sheboygan, Wisconsin. It measures 35" wide x 75" tall x 25" deep. It is easily be taken apart for moving and I have done that more than a few times. I used it as a closet. A computer stand and for storing out-of-season bedding. It has been painted the color it is now which is Colonial Pear. When I used it as a computer stand, holes were drilled into the back to accommodate wiring. It would make a nice TV stand. The condition is mostly very good except that when breaking it down this last time, the floor of the closet spit along the grain lines in two places. It still fits together tightly because of the way it split. The door needs a catch. It has served me well over the years since I purchased it at Goodwill ... moremany years ago. From what research I have compared it appears to be Art Deco Waterfall design. Of the over 1100 Antique Armoire looked at. None were the same as this. Search was Antique Armoire Measurements are 70" Tall x 40.25" Wide x 20" Deep. Buyer responsibility to arrange all shipping or pick up locally. I will be readily available for shipper. It could stand to be restored as it has some scratches. Scrapes and peeled laminate. The back should also be replaced due to splitting/ separating layered wood. All 3 mirrors have peeling flaking issues. The 2 small mirrors have a gold tint plus the etching. Multiple drawers for storage. Both side compartments are cedar lined ... morewith metal rods for hanging clothes. All 4 Wooden casters intact. Armoire is decorated with multiple woods and is in overall very solid condition. Nothing is loose. Drawers and Doors all tight like should be. The pull down door has all the hinge screws missing with the screw holes stripped out. An easy fix but leaving that alone if it is to be restored correctly. 1 knob is missing on the upper mirrored door. Honest with details and cannot offer any kind of warranty. Please bid accordingly. This early 20th century wardrobe offers a hanging closet cloak hooks, hanging bar and a full size dressing mirror on the door; two large deep blind shelves, behind a smaller decorative inlaid door; and a dresser with three large drawers. The design of the piece includes gorgeous intricate wood inlay trim, straight line carving, decorative metal hardware and dentition across the bonnet but the real highlight is the gorgeous mahogany wood used to create the piece. This large wardrobe stands 52 inches long by 77 1/2 inches tall and 22 inches deep. Front to back, at it's widest points. The closet side is 65 inches tall by 22 1/2 inches wide by 18 inches deep front to back. There is a shelf at the top with 10 inches clearance above and a hanging bar running across with 52 inches clearance below the bar. On the opposing side there are two shelves behind the door on the top, each 23 inches wide by 17 1/2 inches front to back and with 17 and 17 1/2 inches clearance above each respectively. below is a chest of drawers or dresser with three drawers. The 3 large drawers are each 21 3/4 inches wide by 16 inches front to back and gradually increase in depth, measuring 7 inches, 8 1/4 inches and 9 1/4 inches in depth, respectively. IL- Far west Chicago suburbs) Up for auction: A gorgeous. Old, oak armoire, closet or wardrobe. It has a beveled-mirrored door and one drawer, offering tons of elegantly hidden storage. I believe it's English, based on its instructional tag: This Wardrobe when dismantled will pass the narrowest stairway or passage. Instructions: Unscrew cornice and plinth from inside of carcase. Hold the door. I can't be certain, but believe it likely dates to the early 1900s. I had too many photos to include one of the patent number(small tag nailed inside the drawer) which reads: PROVL.PAT.NO. 86004-20. The inside compartment has three hooks across the center back top. And one hook on each side. The drawer ... moreis dovetailed. The mirror has a simple bevel. My photos aren't the best- sorry- bad lighting. I think. It's a medium-dark oak. Beautiful! Condition: Overall. For it's age, I think it's in nice vintage condition with age-appropriate imperfections. I think it displays beautifully(and is superbly useful) By way of flaws: 1) the left side. Center, shows a split(where two oak panels meet) it bows out slightly. I don't think it's really distractive, but could probably be remedied by the handy; 2) there's a 2" x 1/2" chip on one side, near the back, relatively near the bottom- hard to see; 3) can't really see it, but the bottom skirt is angled a bit, with a small split on one side; 4) the mirror I think is totally functional and charming as is, but has spots of loss of silvering and minor imperfections; 5) in the drawer, you'll see there are wood support blocks(these came with this- I assume for the underside- that look supplementary supports) that probably could be glued into position for additional support(I haven't investigated; the closet seems fine as is) 6) the door handle has pulled a bit with a small break in the metal- still

Love this Antique White Gentleman's Wardrobe.it measures 5' 10" tall 3' 1" wide. It measures 2' feet on the inside. It is in excellent used condition. I was excited to find this piece and fell in love with the scroll work on the top edge and on the door. On the inside it is beautiful walnut with a mirror mounted on the door( no cracks) with brass clasp to hold it into place. The door pull is in a tear drop and that just makes the whole piece work. This palatial piece was made for a palazzo in northern Italy. The finish is in excellent condition with minor warps and shrinkage separations from age for antique character. See photos. This historic European furniture is walnut with matched burl panels. The carved details are artistic. Deep molding and columns with carved capitals are beautiful. Center doors are mirrored, locks and keys work. Separate sections have removable closet poles and shelves, they could be reconfigured as desired. English 1900 Antique Armoire. Wardrobe or Closet, Beveled Mirrors. Hand carved in England. This early 1900's armoire, wardrobe or closet has beveled arched mirrors in both doors. The original finish on fruitwood is very well preserved, it has been waxed and buffed so all that is needed to maintain its warm patina is an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth. There are warps. Mars and shrinkage separations from age for character. Mirrors have a little antique"smoke" to show their age. Hardware is original, there are no keys, modern magnetic catches secure the doors. Inside are original clothes hooks, sides were later lined with cedar to protect from insects. This historic furniture can be disassembled for easier moving. This lovely extra large antique mahogany armoire or wardrobe with gorgeous wood grains and veneers. Manufactured during the early 1900's in England or Scotland was recently imported from the UK through Edinburgh Scotland. It offers beautiful organized storage for even the largest wardrobe. This early twentieth century wardrobe offers a large double hanging closet with a hanging bar with multiple sliding cloak hooks on the bar as well as cloak hooks around the inside of the closet. This open closet space of course could easily be fitted with any of the the modular storage systems available in most major department stores if that better served the needs of the new owner. The opposing single closet is fitted with three removable shelves which makes four large functional cubbies. The decorative doors on this wardrobe include beautiful veneer ... morepanels on the two outside closet doors and a large arch top beveled mirror on the center closet door. The design of the piece includes decorative metal hardware as shown and it appears to be both original and intact. This wardrobe does have a currently working lock and a key. Though I never guarentee old locks. The real highlight is the gorgeous wood used to create this piece and craftmanship that went into making it into such functional storage space. This is a high quality piece with dovetailed drawers and sturdy construction. I've included a number of photographs in an attempt to accurately represent the construction, design, condition and beauty of the piece, though pictures just don't do it justice. I notice the bonnet was not quite seated on top when I shot these photo's but it does fit tightly and helps hold the wardrobe together as per design. This wardrobe is designed to travel easily in four pieces- the bonnet, a single closet and the double closet and the dresser base with five drawers.
