These are the 2 most severe examples of scratches present. You can expect some minimal scratching elsewhere. Please message me if you'd like additional pictures of a specific part or area. This piece is from Korea and is about 20 or so years old. The exterior design was handcrafted by a Korean artisan who cut each piece of mother of pearl and abalone shell to create the likeness of a peacock surrounded by a blooming bouquet of flowers and butterflies. Please note that the color of the mother of pearl changes depending on the light source- when under natural light. It has a silvery iridescent glow and under interior lighting(incandescent bulb) it has an amber glow. The entire piece is made out of wood painted with a black lacquer finish. The interior is wood also(unpainted) I believe pine, but I'm not exactly sure(it's definitely NOT particle board, though) and it features 2 separate sections(left& right) each with different smaller compartments inside, the details of which are described below. There are 2 sliding doors to access the right and left side and it does have a lock, but I no longer have the key. The size of the entire armoire is 7ft(L) x 6.25ft(H) x 2.25ft(D) approx. It disassembles into 6 major pieces(if I'm not mistaken) top section. 2 sliding doors, bottom section, left section and right section. The top section holds the entire piece together. A pre-owned armoire wardrobe with original casters- in the waterfall design from the art deco period. A metallic gold seal inside the top drawer reads Hooker Bassett Seal of Quality. Stenciled on the back is XO 30 ROBE. It is 36" wide x 60" tall x 20" deep. With inside closet measurements of 20" deep x 16-1/2" wide x 56" high. The drawers are dovetailed and four drawers are 15-1/4" x 14-3/4" x 8" deep. The fifth(top) drawer measures the same accept it is 6" deep. The mirrored top adds 6" to that side height measurement. Overall, the original casters add 2" to the height. They also make it easy to move. The knobs and pulls are of a white metal with marbleized pink thermoplastic decoration-celluloid or Catalin. Etc. It is a quality wardrobe in very good solid condition. There are very ... moresmall pieces of veneer missing mostly on the bottom. There is a tiny piece missing on the top edge of the third drawer down and a crease in the front of the second drawer from the top. The mirror has some small issues. Wardrobe, armoire all in one and is early 1900's bedroom furniture, as is evidenced by the mushroom drawer pulls, the sideways clothes hanging closet and brass Yale drawer lock. It is solid wood and uses half-blind dove tail joints. Measurements: Overall: 37 inches wide. 20 inches deep and 56 ¾ inches high. Knobs: 1 1/8 inches deep/ Drawers: 18 inches wide. 9 ¾ inches high-all except top drawer which is 6 ¾ inches high. Door: 15 ¾ inches wide and the inside is 19 inches deep and 15 ½ inches wide. THIS IS FOR LOCAL PICKUP ONLY A pre-owned cedar wardrobe tagged inside with a metallic label from Lakeside Craft Shops. Sheboygan, Wisconsin. It measures 35" wide x 75" tall x 25" deep. It is easily be taken apart for moving and I have done that more than a few times. I used it as a closet. A computer stand and for storing out-of-season bedding. It has been painted the color it is now which is Colonial Pear. When I used it as a computer stand, holes were drilled into the back to accommodate wiring. It would make a nice TV stand. The condition is mostly very good except that when breaking it down this last time, the floor of the closet spit along the grain lines in two places. It still fits together tightly because of the way it split. The door needs a catch. It has served me well over the years since I purchased it at Goodwill ... moremany years ago. ESTATE VINTAGE/ANTIQUE CHIFFEROBE WATERFALL WOOD PATTERN This 74-year old piece was part of a bedroom set purchased by my Grandparents on June 29. 1939 as their wedding furniture. See photos for receipt. It was purchased from Mintz& Mintz Furniture in New Orleans who closed their doors in January 1990. This wonderful piece has two wardrobes with hanging bars. One on either side, four deep drawers with dovetail, and a hat box with a mirror in the center. The entire piece is covered in various exotic veneers with fine attention to design and detail. Decorative trims and moldings accent the edges adding to the unique quality of this piece and helping it to stand out amongst its peers as a prize example of this formerly popular style of furnishing. The Chifferobe has been stripped of its finish down to the original wood and the door/drawer ... morehardware is missing. There is some peeling of the wood on the back of the piece. However I was unable to get a photo as the piece is in a storage unit. The peeling is unnoticeable as it is on the backside. Waterfall Chifferobes are hard to find- use this piece in your living room. Library, dining room, sitting room or bedroom.
