Piece features oak beading in the Hollywood Regency Tudor style and features solid brass hardware, including teardrop pulls affixed to each drawer. Part of a three piece set which are all listed for sale, including a mirrored dresser& armoire, the furniture pieces were reputedly transported by boat to America when the original owners purchased a home on a Kentucky horse farm. Up for your consideration: This auction is offering you the opportunity to bid on an Antique Chifferobe Wardrobe Chest Combo from around the 1920's- Art deco depression era. Beautiful original medium/dark finish walnut exterior with a dark orate center design on each door panel. This piece stands on fancy curved feet with original casters(for ease of moving) and opens to reveal six(6) dove-tail joined drawers on the left side with a top cabinet for storage and a hanging closet on the right with a metal extension rack that can be extended outwards to view articles of clothing. This unit does not have door knobs(as ... moreit was made that way) but does have key to secure closet doors. Key unlocks right side door( I have included a beaded fleur- de- lis key tassel to add to the ambiance of the piece) and then there is an internal latch to release the left door. The wood on the back of the chifferobe remains in it's original unfinished state. This piece is being offered to you in the condition we acquired it. We have not refinished any portion except for normal wiping down/cleaning. Overall height is 57.75" high and it is 37.5" at it's widest and 20" in depth. Due to the age of this piece. It does have some minor wear(marks/chips from use, which could easily be remedied with buffing for the lighter marks and perhaps a little fill for the chips) Beautiful AS IS(which is my preference) or could be easily refinished if you if that's what you prefer. and now the fine print.
