Very Hard to find and and lovingly restored to a brilliant blend of golds. Greens, red, copper, bronze and oil rubbed to enhance detail. Fixtures from this period were made with care and great thought. Everything about them was made to last. Th is is a five light chandelier with five arms that hold chains that lead to a small bonnet and that is where the canopy me ets. The arms hold a cons olidated glass slip on smoke bell over each socket. The glass is in great condition with some minor not noticeable age chips around the edges. For the age they are exceptional. The flash from the camera bri ngs the colors out brighter. Actually the gold is brilliant against the bronze and brass, but not so bright as in picture 4 and 2. The hang of the fixture is about 31 inches and can be reduced by taking out some of the diamond shaped chain. The sockets ... moreare new and rewired. The candle covers are original and wor n. ITEM: Under the virtual hammer this week is a wonderful pair of Arts& Crafts bronze. Sand-cast owl bookends. These were made by a fairly obscure company called Gift House Inc. under the'BronzeMet' logo, established in 1922(unfortunately, the hallmark is very nearly illegible; however, I have provided an example for comparison) ... moreBronzeMet was a contemporary of the larger, more prolific companies of Armor, Bradley& Hubbard, Galvano, Kathodian, Marion, and Pompeian. Here is some additional information I've discovered: BronzMet was a distinctive logo patented by The Gift House. Inc. in 1922. They produced a large variety of sand cast iron bookends. Gift House was in business from the early 1920s producing their own line of iron bookends with copyrights dating from 1924-1926. At one time there was also a distribution liaison between Gift House and Nuart Metal Creations who was listed as a Gift House subsidiary. All three bookend lines. Hard hit by the Great Depression, were out of business by the mid 1930s. These stylish bookends are certainly top-quality. Heavy pieces with a wonderful patina on them. Each owl, standing on an open book, is burnished in lush, coppery bronze. Owls are, of course, the ancient symbol of wisdom and erudition. In addition to the maker's mark, each bookend is also stamped with"D 18" probably a catalog number) Each bookend measures approximately 5½" in height and 3½" in width at the base. VINTAGE Antique Wool Rug/Blanket with the Macintosh Art Nouveau/Arts& Crafts Rose Motif. This particular stylized geometric rendition of the ROSE is a classic of the Arts& Crafts Movement which featured star craftsmen like Gustav Stickley. Charles Limbert, Roycroft. The rug/blanket measures approx. 72" x 50" and is in excellent vintage pre-used condition.there are VERY minor thinner areas- NOT BY MUCH AND no holes at all. There is PINK stitching for no apparent reason(see photo 7) as there is no hole to patch- perhaps the maker of the rug planned to add some embellishments to that area but never finished. The ends of the rug as shown in the photos are tight and excellent. This could be shown as a rug or blanket but really should be shown as a WORK OF ART and hanging. WE SHIP GLOBALLY.

The butterfly's wings are in bright shades of orange embroidery threads and the body is done in black embroidery thread. Above this is a flower design in a chain stitch and embroidered french knots. At the top of the table doily are 2 more embroidered flowers with chain stitch embroidery and french knots. The table doily's is hand embroidered using embroidery threads of black. Orange, yellow, green and blue. It is nicely accented with a black embroidery thread around the edges. The table doily measures 10" x 7" approximately. I saw no wear or holes to the table doilies however you may want to tuck in a few stray ends of the fabric at the bottom edge. Interesting Antique Art Deco / Arts & Crafts Tall Silver Trumpet Vase - c 1895
This is a very interesting Art Deco/ Arts& Crafts Tall Silver Trumpet Vase by the Barbour Silver Co. circa 1895. The design of this piece is striking and unusual and stands 17 inches tall. The base is 5 1/4 inches wide and the top of the trumpet is 2 3/8 inches wide. The top has nicely detailed rim that matches the six-sided(hexagonal) flared base. The condition is very good with some age appropriate wear to the decorative beading between the base and the upper vase. There is a very small dent in one side of the base as shown in photo 5. For auction this antique/ vintage Art Deco Arts& Crafts solid mahogany" Glove Box/ Trinket Box"c 1910-1930 s. Traditional Victorian Edwardian design. Good size and proportions made from Solid Mahogany. The Box is in general good antique/ vintage used condition commensurate with materials. Great age and use. There are one or two relatively minor issues. One chip to one foot and one chip to one corner, a drying hairline crack within the box base, one foot sits up from the other three and there are two small filled holes on the base rim. Having stated all this. The box is still a good original example with what most sellers call patina, but I would say history patina that only comes with age. Up for sale is a wonderful hand tooled leather framed art deco era picture depicting a scene from the Venice. Italy area during the Renaissance period. It is found in good used condition, with embossed colored border designs. Primary colors are green, white and red, all on a gold/bronze background. There is a crease which runs through the center of the piece. This is best shown in photo#2. This piece was recently found at auction in the suburban Philadelphia, PA area. The frame appears to be 1960-70's era and also found in good used condition. Overall, this picture measures approximately 16 1/4" x 12 7/8" in size. It is very nicely done. Antique Lamp Art Deco 17" With Shade Excellent Arts and Crafts
This is an old Lamp that is in either the Arts and Crafts style or Art Deco. It is Brown Metal with a twist on off switch and the tan or yellowish shade slides on the top. There is a tiny stress line on the top of the shade up against the metal that is 1/2" long. It is very hard to find and does not go over the bend or down the side. MYSTERY ANTIQUE 15 3/4" ARTS & CRAFTS MATTE GREEN FLUTED DECO LOW CONSOLE BOWL
Offered is an antique low fluted console bowl with a very striking matte green glaze. From an estate sale. The owner indicated it was her grandmothers and at least 90 years old. I've tried to research the piece, however it remains a mystery to me. The bowl is weighty, with a thick and variegated matte green glaze typical the finest of American Art Potteries. The form is reminescent of Fulper#654 or their oval console bowl. There is definitely one and probably two marks on the bottom, however they are unable to be read under the thick glaze. The bowl measures 15 3/4 inches wide and stands 2 1/2 inches tall and has stilt marks visible on the bottom. The door has a solid pine core covered with 1/16" thick, birch veneers, and has an unusual arrangement of 3, recessed panels. Notice the Arts& Crafts style, stepped molding contouring the outer edges of the panels. When most people hear"pine" they think of a cheap. Weak, and soft wood. New pine hewn from 10- 20 year old trees doesn't have the same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant qualities that old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old has. Old pine is also much harder and stronger than young pine. Also. Please don't think that"veneer" means inferior quality. Unlike the paper-thin veneers used on ... moremodern doors and furniture. Early 20th century, solid oak clock cabinet is designed with angles toward the back so that it can be placed either in a corner or against a straight wall. The cabinet is in outstanding condition, with the exception of the decorative trim that wraps around the lower edge of the top case. As shown in photos, a portion is missing toward the back of the right side. It has beveled. Curved glass panels in the upper door. It has a wonderful hand hammered face plate with a look and coloring of pewter(though I believe it may be brass) The cabinet handles do look to be possibly pewter. ... moreBut I am not an expert on metals. The weights, weighing nearly 7.5 lbs each, have antiquated patina. The clock is all original! The clock is not currently working and is being priced accordingly.
