The piece also features an embossed carving of scrolling vines, capped with a shell motif at the top of the door. The mirror features a a one inch bevel around the perimeter.

The piece also features carved floral motif at the top center, and carved accents around the top as well as the bottom trim. The piece has a semi-serpentine shape, with the two ends being quite curvy, and the center section flatter.

Antique armoire dresser and vanity with bench and mirror. This bedroom set was originally purchased in northern New York. St. Lawrence County where it was kept for over 60 years. It has been stored at my home in Florida for about 10 years. The condition is very good considering the age of the pieces. There is some surface damage to both pieces. This piece is in Dallas TX and you must come get it. This piece has gorgeous and modern detailing on the sides. Nice acorn legs, brass detailing on the locks and the bevelled mirror, original to the piece, is in great shape. This breaks down all the way into very easy to move pieces. Antique Oak Armoire w/Single Door/Drawer & Beveled Mirror Knock Down
We are pleased to offer this beautiful and functional antique armoire. This piece dates to the early 1900's and is in great condition for the age. The wardrobe body measures 34.25" wide x 16.25" deep. The crown molding at the top measures 39.75" wide x 20.25" deep. This has a single door fronted by a beveled mirror. The mirror is in good condition and there is a small area that the molding that holds it in place was replaced. This can be seen in the last photo. The inside has mounted hooks around the top. There is no rod and there are no shelves inside this unit. There is a nice deep single drawer at the base that has dove tail joints. There is a keyhole on the door and drawer but we do not have a key for this. There are age and use appropriate scratches and dings on this. There are separations at the lower section ... moreon the side boards. These can also be seen in the photos. This is a breakdown unit and will be disassembled for moving. It has a caddy style cornice above a large rectangular shaped top bevelled mirror door with chrome handle. It has a pair of fixed panels located either side of the door, the interior of the wardrobe is clean and tidy and has a single shelf above a hanging rail which runs from left to right. the wardrobe stands on 4 bracket feet. This is a really nice single door quarter sawn oak wardrobe. Very nice cabinet with applied carving. Paneled door with shaped and beveled mirror. Note the serpentine drawer in the base with fancy front legs. Paneled sides and a fluted column on either side of the door. Very sturdy construction-this was a'knockdown' style-piece has been professionally refinished and has a smooth and even finish. There are currently shelves on the interior although they could simple be lifted out and removed if so desired. Overall size of the wardrobe is 38 wide, 83 high, and 22 deep. IL- Far west Chicago suburbs) Up for auction: A gorgeous. Old, oak armoire, closet or wardrobe. It has a beveled-mirrored door and one drawer, offering tons of elegantly hidden storage. I believe it's English, based on its instructional tag: This Wardrobe when dismantled will pass the narrowest stairway or passage. Instructions: Unscrew cornice and plinth from inside of carcase. Hold the door. I can't be certain, but believe it likely dates to the early 1900s. I had too many photos to include one of the patent number(small tag nailed inside the drawer) which reads: PROVL.PAT.NO. 86004-20. The inside compartment has three hooks across the center back top. And one hook on each side. The drawer ... moreis dovetailed. The mirror has a simple bevel. My photos aren't the best- sorry- bad lighting. I think. It's a medium-dark oak. Beautiful! Condition: Overall. For it's age, I think it's in nice vintage condition with age-appropriate imperfections. I think it displays beautifully(and is superbly useful) By way of flaws: 1) the left side. Center, shows a split(where two oak panels meet) it bows out slightly. I don't think it's really distractive, but could probably be remedied by the handy; 2) there's a 2" x 1/2" chip on one side, near the back, relatively near the bottom- hard to see; 3) can't really see it, but the bottom skirt is angled a bit, with a small split on one side; 4) the mirror I think is totally functional and charming as is, but has spots of loss of silvering and minor imperfections; 5) in the drawer, you'll see there are wood support blocks(these came with this- I assume for the underside- that look supplementary supports) that probably could be glued into position for additional support(I haven't investigated; the closet seems fine as is) 6) the door handle has pulled a bit with a small break in the metal- still

Age: 1850-1899 This stately piece is designed to break down so that it can be easily moved. The side doors are bowed in shape and curve back at the sides. They are exquisitely designed with a marquetry. Beading with a pattern of Cross Cut Walnut in the center framed the doors. A beautiful oval medallion with an urn full of flowers at the center decorates the tops of the side doors. The marquetry work is incredible. On the right is silver mirrored door which opens up into three shelves. Including a bar on the back of the door for hanging belts, ties or clothes when getting dressed. Towards the top left are double doors for even more storage. This beautiful wardrobe features a lock and key. The locks are all from National Lock Company out of Rockford, Illinois. As a team of three Swedish immigrants they began making furniture locks in 1903. All of the locks are in working condition. This wonderful piece of craftsmanship is perfect for any home. Especially those with limited storage space. CONDITION Minor wear from use and age There is a small chip in the veneer ... moreon the middle of the top left double doors. There are also some minor surface scratches on the sides from being moves around. And a ring on the top surface from someone leaving a drink on it. The beveled, narrow mirror, with tiny rounded mirror on the bottom front alone make this item absolutely gorgeous, not to mention the carved details top and bottom. This armoire features a cedar-lined closet on the left side behind the door. With a hanging rod at the top for long items that is actually current hanger width! Below is extra storage space for large items. On the right side are four deep and smooth running, dovetail drawers. The top drawer ... morefeatures an insert, sliding box for small items. This wardrobe is a space saver! It won’t take up the whole room. But it will store mega items! Ikea has nothing on this old style furniture for storage! To be sold together. Beautiful Art Deco wardrobe and bureau with Bakelite knobs both on casters. The bureau is pictured in the last two pictures in the sequence. These pieces are a matching set. The wardrobe has a cedar lined closet that fits full size hangers and a beautiful pull down secretary/writing desk with cubby holes for stationery, check books, odds and ends.
