Vintage Early 1900s Oak Wardrobe, Desk & Chest Combination Original Finish
This is a nice. Heavy piece of oak furniture from the early 1900s. It is a combination piece featuring a wardrobe on one side while the other side has a hat box top with a drawer and then a desk with two more drawers below. This piece is in good original condition with its original finish. The chest is 61 inches high by 46 inches across at the top and is 21 inches deep. The piece is tight and not loose. The wood is nice as shown in the photos. The piece has been used and does have some minor scratches and scrapes due to its vintage condition. The interior is clean with a few blemishes. The base of the hat box section is slightly warped and the fold down door of the desk does need some work as it sticks and the hinges are loose. Antique wardrobe/armoire. I have owned this since the 1970's purchased from an antique dealer. Was told it is turn of the century. Knockdown type. Pictures really show the condition. Please be sure to use the"mouse over" function to evaluate the condition. It is solid, but you can see the bracing that was applied to the back and the hanging rod that was also added. Size: 79" Tall 17 1/2" deep 48 1/2" wide. It is a good base for a restoration. NOTE: If buyer is interested in arranging crating and shipping after purchase. This large antique English Country oak armoire. Manufactured during the early 1900's and recently imported from the UK, offers lovely organized storage for even the largest wardrobe. This large early 20th century wardrobe offers two hanging closets, each with a hanging bar and one has a 10 inch deep campaign drawer in the bottom for storing shoes or boots and a full size beveled dressing mirror on the central closet door; three large blind pull out tray shelves, behind that door along with a dresser with three large drawers. The inside of all the closets and shelving is lined in a yellow fabric which is overall clean and in good condition for it's age, adding a finished touch. The design of the piece includes an interesting construction technique that highlights the quartersawn oak wood and decorative metal hardware. This is a high ... morequality piece with dovetailed drawers and brass drawer pulls and I've included a number of photographs in an attempt to accurately represent the construction, design, condition and beauty of the piece, though pictures just don't do it justice. This large wardrobe stands 86 inches long by 80 inches tall and 26 1/2 inches deep. Front to back. The two side closets are each 25 inches wide by 20 inches front to back by 73 inches tall. In the left side facing closet there is 68 inches clearance below the hanging bar. In the right side facing closet there is a 10 inch deep campaign drawer, leaving 58 inches clearance to the floor below the hanging bar. This large piece could of course be easily fitted with one of the many more modern storage systems available to maximize it's internal space. Quartered oak single door wardrobe w. mirror and drawer--14708
This is a really nice single door quarter sawn oak wardrobe. Very nice cabinet with applied carving. Paneled door with shaped and beveled mirror. Note the serpentine drawer in the base with fancy front legs. Paneled sides and a fluted column on either side of the door. Very sturdy construction-this was a'knockdown' style-piece has been professionally refinished and has a smooth and even finish. There are currently shelves on the interior although they could simple be lifted out and removed if so desired. Overall size of the wardrobe is 38 wide, 83 high, and 22 deep. One drawer runner replaced, bottom board on back replaced- see picture. The wardrobe is golden oak with faux oak side panels. Pillar down the front, any wood that is dark is probably faux oak. It has a very nice beveled mirror, one bottom drawer, nice crown molding, beautiful claw feet on the front. It comes with a key.The wardrobe measures cabinet measures 34" wide, 38 1/2" with molding, 19 1/2" deep, 20 5/8" with molding. 77 7/8" high. The oak wardrobe is a nice hard to find small size. Vintage Oak Chifferobe Wardrobe with mirror Pick up in Virginia
This is an old oak chifferobe or wardrobe. Condition is very good with a nick. A veneer chip or scratch here and there but nothing bad, all minor. Beveled mirror has varnish around the edge but will scrape off easy, I tried it. I didn't scrape off because I'm selling for someone else. The original hanger rod is still in place or has oak shelves that lift out. No door key. Must pick up near Roanoke Virginia.
