antique armoire wardrobe, Can deliver
This wardrobe was purchased from an antique shop that imported from Europe regularly and I believe is around the 1940s era. Not positive and not wanting to mislead, just not sure. It is definetly not a reproduction, that I am sure. The three doors are all intact and the center main door has a heavy beveled mirror that is in pretty good condition. The doors sit on a pin style hinge and the parts all work fair. This wardrobe comes completely apart down to the base unit that holds the drawers. the back is like a puzzle to put together but not to complicated. The top and bottom are bolted together with a spiral type bolt and only three are with the unit but it I used a clamp on the top and it worked fine holding it together, which I will include. It takes a skeleton key on the doors which is pretty common to find but I dont have one. It is a ... morenice piece of old furniture but just dont need it. Beautiful design to the doors, unfortunately it does not have it's original handles but all the hinges and fastenings are original and in full working order, including the mirror hinges. Antique Armoire with a very clear Beveled Original Mirror. Hand carved decorations on the front. As pictured. It has a tall cabinet for hanging clothes and a smaller cabinet with 2 shelves and 3 generous drawers. It sits on an additional large. Deep drawer. In addition, it is crowned with a decorative scroll-work topper. The final assembled height is 7 feet. It is a little over 4 feet wide and approximately 18 inches deep. It comes in 4 parts- a stand. The wide bottom drawer, the main armoire with 2 cabinets and 3 drawers, and the top piece. The main cabinet has a large beveled mirror in the door. The mirror is 13 1/2 inches wide and 4 feet tall. The main piece is made of heavy Mahogany-like wood with mainly original fittings. You can see that the drawer pull for the bottom(of the 3) drawer was replaced. Stunning Vintage Black Lacquer w/ Mother of Pearl Embellished Wardrobe
Black Lacquer w/ Mother of Pearl 1920's Wardrobe I am selling my Black Lacquer w/ Mother of Pearl 1920's Korean Wardrobe. As you can see from the photos even after 94 years the finish is near mirror like. The interior is Red Lacquer With brass. This is a very large wardrobe Measuring 6' 6" wide by 2' 1" deep by 6' 5" tall. It is easy to disassemble and reassemble and requires no tools. It breaks down to 5 pieces. It is all held together by blocks and wood pegs and is really cool. The top and bottom piece run the full length of the wardrobe and on the base you place the right cabinet(27" wide) Center cabinet(46" wide) and left cabinet(27" wide) then put the top on which drops onto the pegs on the left and right cabinets and holds it all together. It is Beautiful to look at and is a conversation ... morepiece. It dates by pattern to Korea in the 1920's. The outer cabinets are single door and the center cabinet has double doors. All the doors have ornate brass locks which I have keys for. It is covered, floor to ceiling in tons of mother of pearl, and all of the mother of pearl in intact. There is some damage to it but mainly in the corners. I have tried to take pictures of the damage. The photos really do not do it justice. it just explodes into thousands of shimmering lights when the light hits it. I had to turn off the flash for most of the pictures. Edwardian oak triple wardrobe fitted with sliding trays and drawers; circa 1900-1910; finish is original. Excellent condition measuring 77.5 in L x 86.5 in H x 22 in D. Breaks down into four sections with one center beveled mirror measuring 52.5 x 17.5. Molded top cornice above two carved sections with a mirrored center door below. Two panels have carving in the Adams style flanked by trailing carved anthemion(stylized ornament of classical origin based on the flower and foliage of the honeysuckle) panels and reeding.
