Carved Victorian Walnut Marble Top Dresser W/Beveled-Edge Mirror in Carved Frame
Victorian walnut dresser has white w/gray marble top; the original beveled mirror is accented with the traditional Eastlake Victorian geometric designs of bulls eyes and carved swags& tassels. The drawer fronts feature raised burled panels and original hardware. Original rollers w/caps not attached. But available. Measures 48.5" x 20.5" x 80" high. It has a three-quarter inch repaired indentation in the back left side of the marble that does not detract from the function or appearance. Items sold are available for in-store pick-up. This is a beautiful shabby primitive mirror produced by Pittsburgh Plate Glass Company. There is a stamp on the back that says the Manufacturer name and underneath that is the date. March 1921. Beautiful ornate detail on the top of the frame. There is a surface crack in the paint and or wood. This piece is sturdy and does not appear to be anywhere near a breaking point. The mirror has beveled. Straight lines. The mirror is quite shabby. The frame is in the same shabby condition. Measurements of the frame: 33" tall x 16.75" wide. The mirror itself measures 27" tall x 16.75" wide. The backside hanging wire appears to be a replacement. Half of the back cover is missing and there is a tear on this same cover towards the bottom. Vintage Antique Carved Wood Frame Beveled Glass Oval Mirror Pre-Mid Century
This is a beautiful mirror. You are bidding on an antique oval mirror. This has an oak wooden frame with a top crest of hand carved floral. I believe this is early 20th century. The mirror has a 1" bevel completely around the oval. The back is sealed with a 1/4" piece of wood not plywood. The last picture shows one of the dovetail joints in the frame. This frame was made from four separate pieces of oak which were joined together at those dovetails to make the complete frame. I think this is another sign of the age of this mirror. It has two holes through the front of the frame which were probably used for mounting. It also has one eyelet on the back which was also used for mounting. The second eyelet is gone. The winning bidder will have to develop their own mounting. The complete mirror and frame is 18-3/4" tall and 26" ... morewide. Great antique victorian ornate cast iron beveled glass mirror
Beautiful ornate scrolled victorian cast iron mirror with beveled glass. With darkened gold color. Stands about 13 inches tall by about 9 inches wide. Has a beautiful scrolled easel stand. The back of the mirror has a metal plate that is held on with four swivel bars- the bottom one is stuck in the open position down inbetween the frame and the back- I did not attempt to move it. Stamped on the top back I think with the number 1040- hard to read, for a makers mark. Only flaw is a chip on the mirror on the lower left bevel, which doesn't affect the clarity of the mirror, which has some light surface scratches due to age and wear, and I see only a little discoloration/silver loss on the lower right beveled edge, and some tiny spots here and there. Really pretty example of an old victorian mirror in nice shape for its age, with fancy easel ... morestand. Please ask any other questions. Offerd for your consideration is this lovely Nickel over brass plated Travel mirror with easel stand back. The easel is retractable in that it will lay flat against the mirror backing to pack easily for traveling. The easel is also stable and sturdy when open for use. The mirror can stand either vertically or horizontally so you can easily adjust the viewing angle of the mirror to suit you. The beveled glass mirror is thick and substantial and has a few spots of missing silver backing as seen in photo#1. The back of the mirror is covered with an ornate embossed printed paper cardboard with some of the paper torn off. The overall measurement is 8 3/4" tall(from top to little ball feet) by 6 1/4" wide. Cast iron frame FLOATING mirror beveled edge vtg wall decor antique black metal
This piece has a cast iron or wrought iron frame that would hang on the wall and the beveled edge mirror fits within the frame. The mirror would rather“float” between the iron frame. It has two decorative hinge type connectors that would secure the mirror. I am not a very“handy” type person and I cannot get the mirror inside this frame. It seems too wide. But I know that is just because I do not know how to secure it. This mirror definitely goes with this frame, so it has to fit. I know a“handy” type person could get it secured. If you are"unhandy. like me, you get 2 cool separate pieces! The frame is a cast iron or wrought iron black metal piece in very good condition– no rust– very good condition. The metal has a twisted ribbon like look. I have yet to find any maker’s mark on this piece. But it could be that I do not know where to ... morelook. Due to the design– a maker’s mark could be hidden. The mirror has a thick rough or scalloped type beveled edge. I was going to say no chips. But on closer I think there may possibly be a chip in one of the scallops. Rather hard to tell due to the decorative cut at the edges of the mirror. Also. As you can see, the silver or mercury backing has worn off in several places. It is an old piece. Exact age unknown– I do not know if this is an older vintage piece. As more of a 1950's Mid Century Modern, or if it is old antique– I assume collectors can tell by the mirror cut and the frame style- Size: The metal frame measures approx 12 3/4ths inches in length. The center cut-out measures approx 6 1/4 by 4 1/8th inches. The mirror measures approx 5 3/4ths by 3 5/8ths inches. It is approx 1/4 inch thick at the edges. Condition: The cast iron frame still looks very good. As you can see. The back of the mirror shows much wear. As stated above, the mirror has a thick rough beveled edge and it is difficult to tell, but there may be a chip on one of the scalloped edges. PREVIOUSLY-OWNED ITEM. as such, it has wear from use and age, primarily oxidation to the metal including some darkening, some original finish losses like protective coatings, and some verdigris(primarily on the ends, but scattered throughout- please examine the photos for the scattered green) a little wood loss to the backing. Early 20th Century ORNATE OPENWORK BRASS WALL MIRROR with TOWEL ROD. Or towel holder. The pattern on this heavy piece is just lovely- consisting of acanthus leaves in several different patterns, hanging, twising, scrolling, wrapping- and a few grapes, other leaves with tiny berries, roped acanthus leaves around the mirror, with a center apex stylized to resemble a crown and shield. The oval mirror has a wide, smooth bevel and is ... morein good shape with a little darkening, but no apparent silvering losses. We find no marks, but suggest the piece might be French in origin. This was hung by screws utilizing the two holes for that purpose in the lower portion. And one screw on either side of the top center shield area. It was quite secure. You might also have your local framer attach a hanging wire to the back for a more simple method of hanging. About 9" tall at the center. 2" tall on the rod sides, 14" widest, mirror is 8-1/4" x 4-1/2" and the width of the mirror extends to 11-1/4" at the decorative posts on the sides. The inside length of the rod is about 13-1/2" and the distance from the inside back of the piece to the inside edge of the rod is about 1-1/8" A useful and very attractive accessory for the powder room. It's a really old triptysh used for shaving. Everything is original on this metal framed folding mirror, including a rare handle built on and very well fix ed. On the back of each mirror there's a lincrusta paper who look like leather. It's an art nouveau decoration with an embossed Lincrusta floral motif. However there's a color variation on each of the embossed coverings. Being offered for sale is this fancy 19th century French Victorian Carved Fruitwood Triple Beveled Over Mantle Mirror with an abundance of carvings.This elegant 19th century mirror has its original shaped beveled mirrors and we believe it to have its old original finish. This mirror measures a total height to the top of the carvings of 42 inches. Total width of 50 inches and weighs approximately 35 lbs. The center mirror measures 27 inches high by 26 3/4 inches wide, each side mirror measures 21 inches high by 8 1/2 inches wide. This mirror appears to have its old wood backing and does have a newer wire intact on the back for hanging. The original mirrors do show some cloudiness and streaking as common in antique mirrors and the mirror frame does show several old repairs that it has had over the years which I have tried to show in the pictures. ... moreThere also may be a piece of carving missing here and there but honestly the mirror is so heavily carved its not noticeable.
