This is a beautiful antique mirror that can be hung in either direction. Or, simply left free standing as I once had it displayed in an entryway. Very chic. It is etched in a fleur de leis design in the frame/border. It is literally a mirror framed by a mirror. Beautiful scalloped etched border encases the second mirror in a concave presentation/design. Approximate measurements are: 47" x 59" The border/frame is approximately 6" There are arrowed pieces in all corners that show a light bit of wear and are slightly tarnished. A very fine antique Victorian Louis XV style oval over mantel mirror in the original gilt finish. The compo crest of scrolling acanthus leaves is exceptionally molded. Complete wirhout damage. There are spaced fleur de lis compo ornaments on the cove, the mirror liner as rope. The mirror frame with crest measures 54" wide by 39" tall, mirror 49" wide by 25" tall. Excellent condition: frame without cracks, original gilt finish unworn, slightly worn in one spot on front roll edge. Mirroe without damage, no backing spots, no cloudiness.

Gesso and wood framed mirror with barbola flowers. The mirror and antique frame are in very good/excellent vintage condition. Mirror appears to be in perfect condition- no visible signs of defect. Gilded frame shows distress from age. In some areas the gilded material has flaked off and there cracks along the frame. But this certainly adds to the vintage and shabby appeal of this antique Victorian piece. Lower right hand corner of frame has a small area where gesso has broken off(see pictures) This item was purchased at a local auction and I was told it is from the early 1900s, but I have nothing to confirm the age. There are 3 spots where the veneer on the frame is damaged(with one repair) but it doesn't detract from it's sense of presence. Antique Eastlake Victorian Walnut Wall Hanging Double Towel Bar Rack& Mirror. Eastlake style. measures 20" wide. 12.5" high and is approx. 6" deep. The framed mirror alone is 4.75" x 14.5" No cracks or chips condition. 19th century Victorian era item. This item is in perfect shape for its age. No refinishing required. There was a drak-ugly one on this past week that brought $37-are you kidding? It was terrible with unspecified white gunk around the mirror and visible tacks. Please let me know if you would like to view the geometrical aspects more closely than these photos allow. This period includes geometric ornaments. Spindles, and relief carvings. Antique Biedermeier Style Hat Mirror, Unique German
This is an awesome mirror that looks to be made from an old Victorian velvet hat with tassels. It measures 4 inches deep and 10 inches diameter with the longest tassle being 10 inches long. It is velvet with bows and maybe a horsehair frame? There is also decorative piping and lots of intricate beading with copper colored beads and gold wire. I will try to take some more close up pictures when my camera recharges so you can see the detail. There is loss of beading on the rim surrounding the mirror. The tassels are made of gold wire(heavy) and beading as well. This is just lovely. Purchased in Mainz Kastel Germany at a thrift store.

3 Vintage wooden framed mirrors ~ circa 1920s
This auction is for three vintage wooden mirrors- 2 wall mirrors and 1 three-way hinged dresser mirror. I believe these are all from the 1920s-1930s period but may be older. The first is a cherry wall mirror. It measures 8 inches high by 7 inches wide. This is an interesting piece because someone took a piece of mirror that they sized to fit into the frame. The frame is cherry and the mirror is held in by small nails. The back of the frame is solid wood with a couple of hooks. The second mirror is a 3-way(3 mirrors) vintage dresser make-up mirror. It has 3 round six-inch mirrors which are inlaid in wood. Each wood section is 7 inches x 7 inches. The entire mirror is 21 inches long x 7 inches high. It has 2 feet on the bottom to stand it upright and has hinges on each mirrored section that you can adjust to whatever shape you want. I think ... morethe wood is oak stained cherry or else it may be cherry. It has normal wear and tear and is missing 2 screws. On the back of one of the wood section is a chip which is not visible when displayed. The third mirror is vintage oak wall mirror. The mirror measures 9 inches tall by 7 inches wide. This was handmade and there are screws in the back holding the mirror into place.

You are looking at a vintage oval. Cast plaster, gold leaf Borghese mirror. It measures 15 inches by 12 3/4 inches. Vintage/ Antique Gilded Wall Mirror: Nurre Maestro. Mirror is in nice condition meaning no chips or cracks. Some of the finish around the mirror has toned. The decoration is some type of resin on wood. This mirror is beveled. This mirror is connected to the frame with one rosette on the top and two on each side on the bottom. This mirror is at least 100 years old so no one should expect a perfect new mirror. The décor I am not sure if it is etched and frosted on the inside or just painted. Antique beveled glass mirror with solid 1"X7/8" oak frame. And solid oak three piece paneled back. Inside has a silver stamp British Silvered Glass PB with a 15. And a 2 stamped next to it. This mirror has been mounted, and re-mounted a few times, and the metal hanger I do not believe is original to the piece. However it does have what I believe to be the original small slot headed(common) brass screws holding the back panels on. The mirror itself is in amazing condition with only one small area that has spidering, and cannot really be seen unless you are close up. Tha frame is in great condition with only minor warping in one corner. Vintage Barbola Mirror with Unusual Leather-work decoration for restoration????
A small 5 inch diameter. Easel standing, beveled edge barbola mirror from the 1930ies. I have had many of these in the past but so far not come across a mirror where the floral decoration is made from leather. So in a way this is a rare object. however the deterioration of the leather over the lifetime of the mirror leaves it looking somewhat unattractive and so the dilemma is do you buy it for its rarity value and live with its sad looks or do you approach it as a restoration project? every thing else about this item is in good order.
