Primitive Pittsburgh Plate Glass Co. Beveled Mirror Antique Shabby Mirror 1921
This is a beautiful shabby primitive mirror produced by Pittsburgh Plate Glass Company. There is a stamp on the back that says the Manufacturer name and underneath that is the date. March 1921. Beautiful ornate detail on the top of the frame. There is a surface crack in the paint and or wood. This piece is sturdy and does not appear to be anywhere near a breaking point. The mirror has beveled. Straight lines. The mirror is quite shabby. The frame is in the same shabby condition. Measurements of the frame: 33" tall x 16.75" wide. The mirror itself measures 27" tall x 16.75" wide. The backside hanging wire appears to be a replacement. Half of the back cover is missing and there is a tear on this same cover towards the bottom. Vintage Antique Carved Wood Frame Beveled Glass Oval Mirror Pre-Mid Century
This is a beautiful mirror. You are bidding on an antique oval mirror. This has an oak wooden frame with a top crest of hand carved floral. I believe this is early 20th century. The mirror has a 1" bevel completely around the oval. The back is sealed with a 1/4" piece of wood not plywood. The last picture shows one of the dovetail joints in the frame. This frame was made from four separate pieces of oak which were joined together at those dovetails to make the complete frame. I think this is another sign of the age of this mirror. It has two holes through the front of the frame which were probably used for mounting. It also has one eyelet on the back which was also used for mounting. The second eyelet is gone. The winning bidder will have to develop their own mounting. The complete mirror and frame is 18-3/4" tall and 26" ... morewide. The mirror is 23" by 13-1/2" This is one of the classiest mirrors I have ever had for sale. Please don't email to ask if we would consider selling if for less. My wife really hates to part with it. Great antique victorian ornate cast iron beveled glass mirror
Beautiful ornate scrolled victorian cast iron mirror with beveled glass. With darkened gold color. Stands about 13 inches tall by about 9 inches wide. Has a beautiful scrolled easel stand. The back of the mirror has a metal plate that is held on with four swivel bars- the bottom one is stuck in the open position down inbetween the frame and the back- I did not attempt to move it. Stamped on the top back I think with the number 1040- hard to read, for a makers mark. Only flaw is a chip on the mirror on the lower left bevel, which doesn't affect the clarity of the mirror, which has some light surface scratches due to age and wear, and I see only a little discoloration/silver loss on the lower right beveled edge, and some tiny spots here and there. Really pretty example of an old victorian mirror in nice shape for its age, with fancy easel ... morestand. Please ask any other questions. This is a lovely older mirror. It has a beveled edge and a very nice craved piece at the top. Not sure if it's wood or gesso. It has wood backing. The bottom decorative piece is missing and there are a couple of cracks in the top part. A few spots on the mirror as you can see in the pics. Over all it is in good condition for it's age. This piece has a cast iron or wrought iron frame that would hang on the wall and the beveled edge mirror fits within the frame. The mirror would rather“float” between the iron frame. It has two decorative hinge type connectors that would secure the mirror. I am not a very“handy” type person and I cannot get the mirror inside this frame. It seems too wide. But I know that is just because I do not know how to secure it. This mirror definitely goes with this frame, so it has to fit. I know a“handy” type person could get it secured. If you are"unhandy. like me, you get 2 cool separate pieces! The frame is a cast iron or wrought iron black metal piece in very good condition– no rust– very good condition. The metal has a twisted ribbon like look. I have yet to find any maker’s mark on this piece. But it could be that I do not know where to ... morelook. Due to the design– a maker’s mark could be hidden. The mirror has a thick rough or scalloped type beveled edge. I was going to say no chips. But on closer I think there may possibly be a chip in one of the scallops. Rather hard to tell due to the decorative cut at the edges of the mirror. Also. As you can see, the silver or mercury backing has worn off in several places. It is an old piece. Exact age unknown– I do not know if this is an older vintage piece. As more of a 1950's Mid Century Modern, or if it is old antique– I assume collectors can tell by the mirror cut and the frame style- Size: The metal frame measures approx 12 3/4ths inches in length. The center cut-out measures approx 6 1/4 by 4 1/8th inches. The mirror measures approx 5 3/4ths by 3 5/8ths inches. It is approx 1/4 inch thick at the edges. Condition: The cast iron frame still looks very good. As you can see. The back of the mirror shows much wear. As stated above, the mirror has a thick rough beveled edge and it is difficult to tell, but there may be a chip on one of the scalloped edges. Antique Victorian Metal Tri Folding Triptych Beveled Mirror 1888 Art Nouveau This antique Triptych. Tri folding mirror was patented in 1888 and would of most likely been used from 1890 to 1915. It's a really old triptysh used for shaving. Everything is original on this metal framed folding mirror, including a rare handle built on and very well fix ed. On the back of each mirror there's a lincrusta paper who look like leather. It's an art nouveau decoration with an embossed Lincrusta floral motif. However there's a color variation on each of the embossed coverings. The 3 mirrors are framed with ornemental metal and each of the mirrors are belveled, they are closing very well with the small latch. One of the mirrors has a break has shown in the pictures. Antique Vintage Shabby Oval Beveled Mirror With Ornate Metal Frame
This auction is for an antique vintage oval beveled mirror with an ornate metal frame. The frame measures 12" tall and 9" wide. The mirror is 7-1/2 x 5-1/2. The frame has a light misting of rust on it but all of the decoration is intact. The back of the frame holding the mirror in place appears to be brass. It shows surface scratching. Has a dent in the center, and shows some rust, especially at the top. There are four bars which screw into the frame which hold the mirror/backing in place. There are two loops molded into the frame to hold the wire for hanging. The mirror is hazy around the edges and has marks on the surface, the largest which is shown in the last photo. The mirror is beautiful alone or hanging with a collection of antique mirrors.

Antique embossed tin framed mirror with a slightly brassy coloration. It's in really nice condition. I don't see any damage. It measures 23 1/2" x 13 1/2" with a central mirror that measures 7 1/2" x 9 1/2" The beveled mirror& side panel mirrors show quite a few age spots& streaks. You can see on the backside how the top panel brace has been glued into place. It looks like it had been screwed in at one point as well. The panel on back is loosely held in by nails. ANTIQUE WHITE WOOD FRAME BEVELED MIRROR - 28" X 17 1/2"
I believe this beautiful antique mirror is from the 1920s-1930s. It has a white wood frame which has attained a nice patina. The glass is beveled with a few spots that could be re-silvered. I think the spots add to the look of the mirror. There is some wear on the wood which is to be expected from a piece of this age. This is a great decorator piece. Buyer pays S/H based on location.
