It has an elaborately carved floral and scroll crown and sides. Below the doors is a carved drawer as shown in the photos. It stands on carved cabriole legs and scrolled feet. Three adjustable shelves come with the armoire. As with all antique armoires. Wood supports can be placed in any of the carved slots running the entire length of the piece inside. An option for repurposing this armoire is to strip the silver from the mirrors, leaving the original glass thus making the armoire a display cabinet. The piece has a carved crown molded top, dovetail drawers in the base, and when the doors are opened, it exposes a shelved interior on one side, a hanging rod on the other side, and a hatbox area on top. This very clean wardrobe came out of England. The overall size is 35 inches wide, 21 inches deep, and 74 inches tall. Antique Mahognay Armoire/Wardrobe with Bell Flower & String Inlay Breakdown 3 pc
We are pleased to offer this beautiful antique wardrobe. This dates to the early 1900's. Made from mahogany this is a sturdy and functional piece. It measures approximately 79" high x 11 1/8" wide x 17" deep. The door. Front side panels and top are decorated with string inlay. Each front side panel has an oval cartouche decorated with bell flower inlay and topped with an inlay bow. There is a key that comes with this but it does not lock. The handle turns to open and close it. There is a dove tail jointed drawer at the base. The drawer is missing the escutcheon and the lock mechanism is also missing from the drawer. The inside has both a rod and hooks for hanging clothes. This unit breaks down into three pieces for easy transport. There are appropriate signs of age and use ion this piece including scratches. Dings and tiny ... morerepairs to the inlay and there is a tiny repair to the wood framing and the banding at the top. This is a previously owned item and it is being sold as shown. this is a really cool piece. its very old. it was hand painted and distressed. this was done very well. The white paint usually gets on you when this is done but this was sealed in and really done well. you can rub all over the chifferobe and the white will not get on you at all. its in good shape.

This cabinet is approx. 6' tall and 48" wide has 2 drawers in the bottom and clothing rack. It has some scratching from being moved but nothing deep, it sat in my grandmothers upstairs bedroom since before the 1930's, house was purchased in 1928 when they came from Germany] I sadly can not find a manufacture label or marking, as far as I know it was American made, it is from what im told one of the knockdown style since the top is easily removed and is on alignment pegs for that reason, this is as far as the cabinet has been apart since I have owned it, I will NOT ship this Item due to age, it is in sound condition but don't want to risk possible further scratching or possible damage in shipping, LOCAL pickup Only! It's an antique Italian Walnut Bombe Wardrobe Armoire. Dating from around 1920. Serpentine shaped body with a bombe base and with scalloped cornice tip and cross banded frieze above a large central mirrored door with a serpentine front and with a single inlaid door to either side all with ornate gilt handles. Breaks down to three sections for ease of transporting. Tom Horvath in Totowa. NJ had completely refurbished and refinished the armoire about 10 years ago. Been kept out of direct sunlight so finish is still excellent with a few faded areas but only visible upon close inspection. Recent on-line listed prices of similar armoires ranged from $2000- $2800. This wardrobe was purchased from an antique shop that imported from Europe regularly and I believe is around the 1940s era. Not positive and not wanting to mislead, just not sure. It is definetly not a reproduction, that I am sure. The three doors are all intact and the center main door has a heavy beveled mirror that is in pretty good condition. The doors sit on a pin style hinge and the parts all work fair. This wardrobe comes completely apart down to the base unit that holds the drawers. the back is like a puzzle to put together but not to complicated. The top and bottom are bolted together with a spiral type bolt and only three are with the unit but it I used a clamp on the top and it worked fine holding it together, which I will include. It takes a skeleton key on the doors which is pretty common to find but I dont have one. It is a ... morenice piece of old furniture but just dont need it. I will ship it if needed but not real excited to do that and buyer will pay what actual fees will be. The dimensions are 22" deep x 51" wide x 83" tall. It has a tall cabinet for hanging clothes and a smaller cabinet with 2 shelves and 3 generous drawers. It sits on an additional large. Deep drawer. In addition, it is crowned with a decorative scroll-work topper. The final assembled height is 7 feet. It is a little over 4 feet wide and approximately 18 inches deep. It comes in 4 parts- a stand. The wide bottom drawer, the main armoire with 2 cabinets and 3 drawers, and the top piece. The main cabinet has a large beveled mirror in the door. The mirror is 13 1/2 inches wide and 4 feet tall. The main piece is made of heavy Mahogany-like wood with mainly original fittings. You can see that the drawer pull for the bottom(of the 3) drawer was replaced.
