These are the 2 most severe examples of scratches present. You can expect some minimal scratching elsewhere. Please message me if you'd like additional pictures of a specific part or area. This piece is from Korea and is about 20 or so years old. The exterior design was handcrafted by a Korean artisan who cut each piece of mother of pearl and abalone shell to create the likeness of a peacock surrounded by a blooming bouquet of flowers and butterflies. Please note that the color of the mother of pearl changes depending on the light source- when under natural light. It has a silvery iridescent glow and under interior lighting(incandescent bulb) it has an amber glow. The entire piece is made out of wood painted with a black lacquer finish. The interior is wood also(unpainted) I believe pine, but I'm not exactly sure(it's definitely NOT particle board, though) and it features 2 separate sections(left& right) each with different smaller compartments inside, the details of which are described below. There are 2 sliding doors to access the right and left side and it does have a lock, but I no longer have the key. The size of the entire armoire is 7ft(L) x 6.25ft(H) x 2.25ft(D) approx. It disassembles into 6 major pieces(if I'm not mistaken) top section. 2 sliding doors, bottom section, left section and right section. The top section holds the entire piece together. Once this is pulled off, all the other pieces can be separated fairly easily as there aren't any hinges holding them together. LEFT SECTION Features 1

Antique Knock Down Wardrobe/Armoire....Beautiful Walnut
Pictures do not do this piece justice. This piece was purchased by my mother-in-law from Walter Cantrel in western North Carolina sometime in the 1950-60s. I would guess it is from the late 1800s or early 1900s. It is certainly custom made. The work is beautiful, the walnut on the door fronts has a beautiful grain, I could go on and on. In looking at the cabinet, there are three drawers and cubbies on the right hand side. On the left hand side, there is a hanging bar. It is antique and has character. It has a few chips, scratches, wear, etc. here and there, but is still completely usable. The finish and hardware appear to be original. It is a nice size, not too much bigger than the tall dresser we have, so should be a great addition to even a small room. There is a tag on the back that is very hard to read. Antique wardrobe/armoire. I have owned this since the 1970's purchased from an antique dealer. Was told it is turn of the century. Knockdown type. Pictures really show the condition. Please be sure to use the"mouse over" function to evaluate the condition. It is solid, but you can see the bracing that was applied to the back and the hanging rod that was also added. Size: 79" Tall 17 1/2" deep 48 1/2" wide. It is a good base for a restoration. NOTE: If buyer is interested in arranging crating and shipping after purchase. Antique Wardrobe Amoire circa 1930
This is an antique wardrobe armoire in good condition. I am not sure what kind of wood it is made of. I am not very familiar with antiques and there are no markings as to who the manufacture is. The armoire does have some scratches from normal use, nothing deep or compromising, and the inside does gave a couple of black stains but from my opinion they are superficial and would probably come if if you refinish. There are no door handles, they are missing and I do not have the key to lock/unlock the door. The door is currently unlocked. The unit is missing one metal ball roller so be aware that these would need to be replaced. Based on my research this armoire is most likely from the 1930's-1940's. See photos for receipt. It was purchased from Mintz& Mintz Furniture in New Orleans who closed their doors in January 1990. This wonderful piece has two wardrobes with hanging bars. One on either side, four deep drawers with dovetail, and a hat box with a mirror in the center. The entire piece is covered in various exotic veneers with fine attention to design and detail. Decorative trims and moldings accent the edges adding to the unique quality of this piece and helping it to stand out amongst its peers as a prize example of this formerly popular style of furnishing. The Chifferobe has been stripped of its finish down to the original wood and the door/drawer ... morehardware is missing. There is some peeling of the wood on the back of the piece. From what research I have compared it appears to be Art Deco Waterfall design. Of the over 1100 Antique Armoire looked at. None were the same as this. Search was Antique Armoire Measurements are 70" Tall x 40.25" Wide x 20" Deep. Buyer responsibility to arrange all shipping or pick up locally. I will be readily available for shipper. It could stand to be restored as it has some scratches. Scrapes and peeled laminate. The back should also be replaced due to splitting/ separating layered wood. All 3 mirrors have peeling flaking issues. The 2 small mirrors have a gold tint plus the etching. Multiple drawers for storage. Both side compartments are cedar lined ... morewith metal rods for hanging clothes. All 4 Wooden casters intact. Armoire is decorated with multiple woods and is in overall very solid condition. Nothing is loose. Drawers and Doors all tight like should be. The pull down door has all the hinge screws missing with the screw holes stripped out. An easy fix but leaving that alone if it is to be restored correctly. 1 knob is missing on the upper mirrored door. Honest with details and cannot offer any kind of warranty. Please bid accordingly. This large early 20th century wardrobe offers two hanging closets, each with a hanging bar and one has a 10 inch deep campaign drawer in the bottom for storing shoes or boots and a full size beveled dressing mirror on the central closet door; three large blind pull out tray shelves, behind that door along with a dresser with three large drawers. The inside of all the closets and shelving is lined in a yellow fabric which is overall clean and in good condition for it's age, adding a finished touch. The design of the piece includes an interesting construction technique that highlights the quartersawn oak wood and decorative metal hardware. This is a high ... morequality piece with dovetailed drawers and brass drawer pulls and I've included a number of photographs in an attempt to accurately represent the construction, design, condition and beauty of the piece, though pictures just don't do it justice. This large wardrobe stands 86 inches long by 80 inches tall and 26 1/2 inches deep. Front to back. The two side closets are each 25 inches wide by 20 inches front to back by 73 inches tall. In the left side facing closet there is 68 inches clearance below the hanging bar. In the right side facing closet there is a 10 inch deep campaign drawer, leaving 58 inches clearance to the floor below the hanging bar. This is a great-looking burl walnut dome-top two-door wardrobe that came out of England and dates from the 1930s. It’s a beautiful model in the Chippendale style, with Queen Anne cabriole carved legs, and has a banded, tombstone-shaped, double-panel door on the front that is just covered with burl walnut. It comes with its original old key and hardware, and when the doors are opened, it reveals a veritable hanging Mecca for clothes, featuring a mirrored door on the right-hand side and a hat compartment on top that incorporates the dome shape of the top. This little wardrobe is actually deeper than average at 18.25 inches deep, 58 inches high, and 33.5 inches wide on the inside compartment, and the height of the dome-shaped compartment is 9.5 inches. We then shipped it to our antique furniture store here in Atlanta. GA. Antique corner wardrobes are hard to find and this one was worth the wait! Most likely made around 1940. The wood used is mahogany. The mahogany wood has developed a lovely, warm patina. The simple lines and subtle decorations ... moreof this antique corner wardrobe will allow it to fit into almost any room where you could use extra storage. It would make a lovely coat closet near the front door or a wonderful clothes closet in a bedroom. The door of this wardrobe is a beveled mirror door. The mirror is clean and does not have any spotting. Inside is a large open space with some brass hooks for hanging. Below the door is a single. Large drawer. The drawer is constructed with dovetailed joints which shows you that the maker was a quality furniture maker. The hardware is all solid brass on the drawer and door. They also both lock and one key is included. Overall this antique corner wardrobe is in very good condition. There are a few dings here and there(especially on the cornice) as you would expect from a piece of this age. We have also pointed out in the photos where the board on the back of the door has expanded causing it to bow out. antique English dark oak art nouveau ARMOIRE ~ wardrobe ~ CLOSET with mirror Greater Chicagoland-area local pick up/delivery only(Saint Charles. IL- Far west Chicago suburbs) Up for auction: A gorgeous. Old, oak armoire, closet or wardrobe. It has a beveled-mirrored door and one drawer, offering tons of elegantly hidden storage. I believe it's English, based on its instructional tag: This Wardrobe when dismantled will pass the narrowest stairway or passage. Instructions: Unscrew cornice and plinth from inside of carcase. Hold the door. I can't be certain, but believe it likely dates to the early 1900s. I had too many photos to include one of the patent number(small tag nailed inside the drawer) which reads: PROVL.PAT.NO. 86004-20. The inside compartment has three hooks across the center back top. And one hook on each side. The drawer ... moreis dovetailed. The mirror has a simple bevel. My photos aren't the best- sorry- bad lighting. I think. It's a medium-dark oak. Beautiful! Condition: Overall. For it's age, I think it's in nice vintage condition with age-appropriate imperfections. I think it displays beautifully(and is superbly useful) By way of flaws: 1) the left side. Center, shows a split(where two oak panels meet) it bows out slightly. I don't think it's really distractive, but could probably be remedied by the handy; 2) there's a 2" x 1/2" chip on one side, near the back, relatively near the bottom- hard to see; 3) can't really see it, but the bottom skirt is angled a bit, with a small split on one side; 4) the mirror I think is totally functional and charming as is, but has spots of loss of silvering and minor imperfections; 5) in the drawer, you'll see there are wood support blocks(these came with this- I assume for the underside- that look supplementary supports) that probably could be glued into position for additional support(I haven't investigated; the closet seems fine as is) 6) the door handle has pulled a bit with a small break in the metal- still
