Primitive Pittsburgh Plate Glass Co. Beveled Mirror Antique Shabby Mirror 1921
This is a beautiful shabby primitive mirror produced by Pittsburgh Plate Glass Company. There is a stamp on the back that says the Manufacturer name and underneath that is the date. March 1921. Beautiful ornate detail on the top of the frame. There is a surface crack in the paint and or wood. This piece is sturdy and does not appear to be anywhere near a breaking point. The mirror has beveled. Straight lines. The mirror is quite shabby. The frame is in the same shabby condition. Measurements of the frame: 33" tall x 16.75" wide. The mirror itself measures 27" tall x 16.75" wide. The backside hanging wire appears to be a replacement. Half of the back cover is missing and there is a tear on this same cover towards the bottom. The nails holding the mirror in place are all present and intact. Has waves in the silvering on the back of the mirror as well as an old crackle finish that is in very good condition. Has a number of 1497 stenciled on the back. Vintage Antique Carved Wood Frame Beveled Glass Oval Mirror Pre-Mid Century
This is a beautiful mirror. You are bidding on an antique oval mirror. This has an oak wooden frame with a top crest of hand carved floral. I believe this is early 20th century. The mirror has a 1" bevel completely around the oval. The back is sealed with a 1/4" piece of wood not plywood. The last picture shows one of the dovetail joints in the frame. This frame was made from four separate pieces of oak which were joined together at those dovetails to make the complete frame. I think this is another sign of the age of this mirror. It has two holes through the front of the frame which were probably used for mounting. It also has one eyelet on the back which was also used for mounting. The second eyelet is gone. The winning bidder will have to develop their own mounting. The complete mirror and frame is 18-3/4" tall and 26" ... morewide. The mirror is 23" by 13-1/2" This is one of the classiest mirrors I have ever had for sale. Please don't email to ask if we would consider selling if for less. My wife really hates to part with it. Great antique victorian ornate cast iron beveled glass mirror
Beautiful ornate scrolled victorian cast iron mirror with beveled glass. With darkened gold color. Stands about 13 inches tall by about 9 inches wide. Has a beautiful scrolled easel stand. The back of the mirror has a metal plate that is held on with four swivel bars- the bottom one is stuck in the open position down inbetween the frame and the back- I did not attempt to move it. Stamped on the top back I think with the number 1040- hard to read, for a makers mark. Only flaw is a chip on the mirror on the lower left bevel, which doesn't affect the clarity of the mirror, which has some light surface scratches due to age and wear, and I see only a little discoloration/silver loss on the lower right beveled edge, and some tiny spots here and there. Really pretty example of an old victorian mirror in nice shape for its age, with fancy easel ... morestand. Please ask any other questions. There is a paper attached that states"Maple Frame. A&C Warfield Fall River, Mass. circa 1850. I am leaving it attached for fear of ruining the finish. Each Panel Measures 8" x 10" Good Antique Condition- The Wood is in very good condition- the leather panels are in great condition. The only issues are with the mirrors themselves- the mirrors have streaks and spots from age. nothing too terrible- I tried to get pictures but they wouldn't come out. the streaks are not that crazy and mostly on the right mirror. some light wear to the tops of the glass here and there. TRAVEL MIRROR BEVELED LEAD GLASS ART DECO c1920's EASEL
Offerd for your consideration is this lovely Nickel over brass plated Travel mirror with easel stand back. The easel is retractable in that it will lay flat against the mirror backing to pack easily for traveling. The easel is also stable and sturdy when open for use. The mirror can stand either vertically or horizontally so you can easily adjust the viewing angle of the mirror to suit you. The beveled glass mirror is thick and substantial and has a few spots of missing silver backing as seen in photo#1. The back of the mirror is covered with an ornate embossed printed paper cardboard with some of the paper torn off. The overall measurement is 8 3/4" tall(from top to little ball feet) by 6 1/4" wide. ANTIQUE/VINTAGE VICTORIAN PLATEAU MIRROR, BEVELED GLASS, SCALLOPED METAL TRIM,NR
This is an antique/vintage Victorian plateau mirror. The mirror itself is beveled. The bevel is narrow. Just meeting the edge of the decorative scalloped metal trim that surrounds the mirror. This piece measures 14" in diameter and 1.5" in height. It stands on 4 delicately embellished metal feet. The feet and broader scrolled top section each measure 1" in height and 2.5" in width at the top(picture 5) The scalloped trim surrounding the mirror measures.5" in width with an additional.25" wide plain metal banding beneath the scalloped trim. The plain metal banding completely surrounds the mirror as well. All of the trim is complete and in great condition. I think there may be several metals used in the piece, and I don't know with any certainty what they are. The scalloped trim and plain banding are gold, and ... morethe feet are silver(in color, at least) The backing is all original and in tact(pictures 7& 8) The only damage to the piece is in the mirror itself. There are some small surface scratches. There is a good bit of haziness in the glass, and some areas where the silvering has worn thin. Still just a fabulous mirror. There are so many uses for these. NO RESERVE… This auction is for a handsome old Art Deco Era Reverse Mirror Picture Frame. The entire frame measures approx. 15 1/2 inch wide. About 10 1/2 inch tall at the center, and the color I would call Champagne. The picture size opening is approx. 6 5/8 inch by as bout 4 3/4 inch. There is a lot of light reflection in my pictures, so you may have to look very close at them. I have used a yellow pencil to point at the lower left corner. I am trying to point out a small chip on that corner. The glass is thick and has beveled edges. There are 4 metal threaded posts that hold the frame together, and have a thread nut on the back of the frame. I have used a yellow pencil to point at on e of the posts to try and point out surface corrosion on the metal. ANTIQUE Oak Beveled Glass Shield Mirror Fits Hotel or High Boy
From an estate dispersal and at ebay for your consideration is this nice oak mirror. Use it as is like the last owners did or replace one on a hotel or chevelle dresser. Harp mounting receivers are 16.25 inches apart to the outside edge. This mirror is about 20 inches tall and 16.25 inches wide. Mirrors oak frame has its original finish and the silver is respectively good for its age and does show some age spots. There is one long light scratch on the glass that is not distractive. ANTIQUE Carved Golden Oak Beveled Glass Unusual Shield Wall Mirror
This is a wonderful antique mirror. The frame is a very unusual shape and is a true solid golden oak. The finish is original, the frame os tight(no cracks, chips or repairs) and in very good condition. The mirror glass i clean and beveled but, has two chips one in each corner at the bottom, see my last three photos) This mirror measures 33 1/2 inches tall by 21 inches wide. This mirror would look wonderful in any room. I would prefer that the buyer pick this piece up but.
