ESTATE FIND Offered for auction from a fine Southern Indiana estate is an Antique Victorian Eastlake Walnut Wall Mirror With Shelf and Patinaed Brass Coat Hooks. It measures 38" wide at its widest point and is 24" high. The mirror itself measures 14" x 9.5" and the shelf is 5" deep. The mirror has been replaced and the patinaed brass coat hooks may or may not be original to the piece. The Eastlake Victorian frame appears to be in excellent vintage condition. English Antique Solid Brass Fireplace Screen Stand with romantic HEART shaped handle and HEART design on the Beveled Venetian styled Mirror front. Was polished and lacquered several years back and still looks shiny. It measures 15" at it's widest point at the outside edges of the feet x 26" high x 6 1/8" deep at the feet. from the feet to the top of the handle. The Venetian Mirror itself measures 15" wide x 17" high. And is absolutely enchanting in it's excellent vintage condition with no cracks or chips. This piece features a swivel mirror and storage drawer, sitting atop a ringed, minimally fluted central column with a wonderfully carved tripod base. Antique Federal Brass/Bronze Mirror
This is an outstanding brass/bronze federal period mirror in original(as found) condition. The mirror has many interesting parts. At the top is an American Eagle perched on an oval(1.5" by 2" containing what appear to be the remnants of a heraldic crest. Under the crest is a larger oval 8.5” by 6.75" mirror also in original untouched condition. At the bottom of the mirror is a thirteen star shield representing the 13 original colonies. The back of the shield reads“Design Patented Nov. 25 1862” In total. The mirror measures 19" by 11.5” and weighs about 7.5 pounds. Please look closely at the photos as they tell the story, but if you have any questions feel free to e-mail me. It would be very simple to polish this mirror with Brasso and have it looking shiny and new, but many people value the old patina so I have changed ... morenothing. Vintage Sunburst Mirror, Handmade, brass colored metal, beautiful, ornate, wall
This unique wall mirror is 17 1/2" in diameter; 8" across the center part. The small mirrored diamond-shaped and triangle-shaped are welded together at the back(see 4th picture. Overall in very good shape but in the close ups you can see where some of the silvering has slightly worn off but not noticeable except right up close. Makes it look antique. The parts of the mirror that look dark at the ends are reflections of my phone; I wasn't able to totally avoid the reflections and still get the picture. I have enjoyed this for 25 years having bought at a garage sale(and it was old then) but since moving into a small place. I no longer have wall space to hang it.

1940's VINTAGE VANITY TRAY. 1940's era heavy. Sturdy metal vanity tray. The sides are an embossed brass-plated metal and the handles are solid brass. There are no black spots on the mirror and no cloudiness. No cracks or chips. There is a little VERY FAINT age foxing that you can only see if you hold the mirror up close and tilt it in a certain light. This is very difficult to see and definitely doesn't detract from the great looks of this vintage piece. There are a couple small spots on the side where the brass plating wore off(and the metal underneath is actually a brighter gold- SEE LAST PHOTO) And the velvet on the BOTTOM SIDE is in bad shape, however there's still enough left to make the tray totally non-skid, so this doesn't have to be replaced since it can not be seen when displaying(or could be easily replaced, ... moreif desired, with some non-stretch velvet or felt and a little all-purpose glue) There are no dings, dents or rust to the metal. Antique art nouveau small brass wall mirror with 2 candle sconces
This is a charming small art nouveau wall mirror and 2 adjustable candle sconces. They are connected to the center of the frame with a bolt and ball nut that I do not feel are original although it has always been there for the 25 years that I have had the piece. It is all brass and has the face of a cherub at top center and on the back has a cast in loop to pass a wire through for hanging. The mirror is held in place by a metal strip screwed to the frame. The mirror is in perfect condition and measures 4" x 1 1/4" The complete length is 9 1/4" x 4 1/4" at widest part of frame. The sconces when fully extended are 8" and I will leave them that way for shipping. There are no identifying marks on it. I do not accept returns or give refunds. Early 20th C Ornate Brass Beveled Vanity Wall Mirror & Towel Rod Holder 9" x 14"
Item No. 7911 WE DEEM THIS ONE OF OUR FAVORITE ITEMS FOR STYLE AND VALUE. THIS IS AN OLD. PREVIOUSLY-OWNED ITEM. as such, it has wear from use and age, primarily oxidation to the metal including some darkening, some original finish losses like protective coatings, and some verdigris(primarily on the ends, but scattered throughout- please examine the photos for the scattered green) a little wood loss to the backing. Early 20th Century ORNATE OPENWORK BRASS WALL MIRROR with TOWEL ROD. Or towel holder. The pattern on this heavy piece is just lovely- consisting of acanthus leaves in several different patterns, hanging, twising, scrolling, wrapping- and a few grapes, other leaves with tiny berries, roped acanthus leaves around the mirror, with a center apex stylized to resemble a crown and shield. The oval mirror has a wide, smooth bevel and is ... morein good shape with a little darkening, but no apparent silvering losses. We find no marks, but suggest the piece might be French in origin. This was hung by screws utilizing the two holes for that purpose in the lower portion. And one screw on either side of the top center shield area. It was quite secure. You might also have your local framer attach a hanging wire to the back for a more simple method of hanging. About 9" tall at the center. 2" tall on the rod sides, 14" widest, mirror is 8-1/4" x 4-1/2" and the width of the mirror extends to 11-1/4" at the decorative posts on the sides. The inside length of the rod is about 13-1/2" and the distance from the inside back of the piece to the inside edge of the rod is about 1-1/8" A useful and very attractive accessory for the powder room. PAIR LARGE ANTIQUE TALL ITALIAN VENETIAN GILT IRON BRASS WALL MIRROR PALLADIO?
We are very pleased to offer this magnificent pair of antique(1920s-1940s) mirrors. These large mirrors feature beautiful gilted iron and brass frames. They are very much in the Palladio. Italy style in terms of their pattern and frame design. The gilt iron frames are heavy and feature a"suspended" outer frame which is connected to the inner frame by a series of ball shaped connectors. The frames are then embellished with ornate yet simple scrolling curves on the corner sections and are topped by a gilt brass, large, fleur de lis. The mirrors are very old and because the backs are missing, they have some scratching to the mirrored coating on the backs. They are secured in the frames with the original wooden border which is fitted on the inner side of the frame on the backs of the mirrors(see picture 11) The backs of the frames are ... morefinished in red, again suggesting Palladio as this was common with Palladio mirrors. Because the backs are missing, there are no manufacturer's stickers. However, the frames are numbered on the front side in the upper section. These are exceptionally designed mirrors and frames. The finish is in very good condition with little evidence of age or wear. We can ship either with the mirrors or without. You can choose this option. The mirrors probably need to be replaced if you don't like the"aged and worn" look. I have had them hanging in my home for a while and I love the aged charm.just a personal preference. Here's a pretty little antique tri fold mirror I recently found at an estate sale. It is in very nice shape. It is 19.5 inches tall. The Center mirror is 15" wide and the two side mirrors are just over 7.5" a piece. Folded. It is 3/4 inch thick. Nice original brass hardware and screws. Mirror and glass is in great shape with no flaking or chips. Minor scratches in the paint of the frame. Excellent find. This looks like wood but I'm thinking it is metal. This antique swivel mirror is made of cast iron and/or cast brass and contains its original beveled glass mirror insert. Although it's difficult to make out all the words. I'm sure that the back is marked with the words"Verlag bei E. G. Zimmermann Hanau" My assistant has just pointed out that there is actually a diacritical mark over the"m" and the"n" rather than doubled consonants, so maybe this will help to date the piece for those more knowledgeable than I am. I don't see any numbers, so I'm guessing that this may date to pre-1850, but this is based on information I culled from other listings, etc. so please do your own research if this is important to you. This definitely dates to the 19th century and was made at the foundry of E. G. Zimmermann in Hanau, Germany. The mirror has no cracks. ... moreAlthough there is age-related damage to the silvering, as well as an approximately 3/4" scratch near the top and a tiny chip on the bevel edge of the mirror near the top. My sharp-eyed assistant noticed when photographing the mirror that one of the back feet doesn't sit quite flush with the tabletop. I've owned this for a year or so without ever noticing this. The entire frame measures 12&3/4" tall x 8&3/4" wide. And the base is 4&3/4" deep. This has a lovely patina of age with some verdigris to the finish.
