Vintage Antique Carved Wood Frame Beveled Glass Oval Mirror Pre-Mid Century
This is a beautiful mirror. You are bidding on an antique oval mirror. This has an oak wooden frame with a top crest of hand carved floral. I believe this is early 20th century. The mirror has a 1" bevel completely around the oval. The back is sealed with a 1/4" piece of wood not plywood. The last picture shows one of the dovetail joints in the frame. This frame was made from four separate pieces of oak which were joined together at those dovetails to make the complete frame. I think this is another sign of the age of this mirror. It has two holes through the front of the frame which were probably used for mounting. It also has one eyelet on the back which was also used for mounting. The second eyelet is gone. The winning bidder will have to develop their own mounting. The complete mirror and frame is 18-3/4" tall and 26" ... morewide. The mirror is 23" by 13-1/2" This is one of the classiest mirrors I have ever had for sale. Please don't email to ask if we would consider selling if for less. My wife really hates to part with it. The mirror is pretty clear except for one small area where the marks are. I noted a bit of ghosting but nothing major. It's got that perfectly aged look. Perfectly shabby. Antique Vintage Shabby Oval Beveled Mirror With Ornate Metal Frame
This auction is for an antique vintage oval beveled mirror with an ornate metal frame. The frame measures 12" tall and 9" wide. The mirror is 7-1/2 x 5-1/2. The frame has a light misting of rust on it but all of the decoration is intact. The back of the frame holding the mirror in place appears to be brass. It shows surface scratching. Has a dent in the center, and shows some rust, especially at the top. There are four bars which screw into the frame which hold the mirror/backing in place. There are two loops molded into the frame to hold the wire for hanging. The mirror is hazy around the edges and has marks on the surface, the largest which is shown in the last photo. The mirror is beautiful alone or hanging with a collection of antique mirrors.

Fine old hardwood with some details that are carved. Others are gesso barbola which is all original to the piece. Old faded white paint has a creme cast from age, and the softly aged guilding has a delicate cast of green. This is a GORGEOUS mirror that my mom purchased at an antique store a few years ago. It measures approx. 20" X 32" The frame is wooden and it is covered in beautiful 3D roses(they look like roses to me) The entire mirror is then gold gilt. It has a wire on the back for hanging. you could easily paint it shabby chippy white. Pick up in Huntington Beach. Ca. I am not able to pack this mirror, sorry.
