Here is a set of 4 already matching that have the traditional"Rabbit Ear" design with a top stretcher. Six turned spindles create the back and fit into the second rail that is also pressed. The spindles are flat on the side that faces your back so that its nice and comfy. Seats were recanned 7 years ago but have been used since then and have wear where they need to be recanned. All have the bent wood Hip Huggers to strengthen that back joint. It's a superior design for longevity. These are antique chairs and have been used and have signs of wear and character. You will only have to recane them.

This price is for the pair of beautiful Art Deco carved and upholstered high back fireside open arm chairs done in a fabric that is salmon faded from fushia pink. I believe the wood is some sort of fruitwood. But uncertain. I have been told by an antiques dealer that these chairs are worth between $500 and $750 each. Could be older I don't know. I researched it and could find only one other with the similar open back design that was on the Antiques Roadshow in 08 listed for 1000 to 2000$. Antique Swan Neck Arm Rocking Chair
This beauty is an antique swan arm rocking chair. This particular piece does not have any obvious dating marks. But the style and the materials are true to the late 19th/ early 20th century piece. I believe the upholstery to be original. Although I have no conformation. It has a small quarter size tear in the seat wear the bend of the sitter's left knee would lie, other than this, i found no other issues with the fabric. I am not sure of the wood type. But have been told by several people that it looks mahogany. Pictures 2,3,4 are the piece without furniture oil. All other are of the piece after oil has been applied. There are some minor blemishes on the wood due to 100yrs of normal use, but over all this is a sound piece that can be used regularly or would be an amazing collectible if restored. In very rare kelly green original coloured fiberglass shells mounted on shockmounts with new walnut base. Original Herman Miller stamps on shell. We infinitely prefer the original fibreglass shells to the modern polypropylene versions. As the patina is so lovely and they wear so nicely- a very important consideration with a house full of kids! In overall very good condition with just a couple of very small scuffs and marks here and there in keeping with their age but nothing noticable. please see photos) A stunning chair- total classic. Very collectable which would brighten up any room. The seat and base will be dismantled for safer shipping but can be bought fully assembled ... moreif so desired- please message. Eames Herman Miller DSW side chair rocker in light greige Designed by Charles Eames and made by Herman Miller in the late 60s/early 70s. Original light greige fibreglass shell mounted on shockmounts and new zinc rocker base with walnut runners. Herman Miller embossed stamp on underside of seat. The contemporary version of this chair is made of polypropylene. Which in our opinion, is not a patch on these original fibreglass models. In very good overall condition.
