These type chairs are becoming more difficult to find especially in numbers. They were often used in government settings such as courthouses. Lawyers and other professionals also seem to appreciate and use them in their offices. However. As they are both functional and practical, they can be used in any area in the home, office, etc. Each chair is solid oak and is tight and sturdy in construction. The finish on each chair is an older finish with a nice patina. The condition of each of the twelve(12) chairs is great with wear appropriate and consistent with the age and use. There appears to be no existing damage or missing pieces to each chair. The construction and design are such so that one is comfortable sitting in them even if for a prolonged time period. Pair of Unusual Antique Carved Arts & Crafts Ornate Oak Chairs
This listing is for a pair of antique dark oak chairs- identical. These chairs have beautiful carving on the back and below the seat in the front. I would say that these chairs are in very good condition. You can see over time that there were some reinforcements placed below the seat and I think that the current seat is not the original one. The current seat needs some good cleaning. The chairs are sturdy and have a few little areas of the color coming off. Measurements: 43 inches in height- 18 1/2 inches long- 17 inches in width- 17 inches from the floor to the seat. I would prefer pick up only but will be willing to ship. Please note that these are heavy. Tall chairs and the shipping will be quite high.

Three beautiful examples of Stickley Bros. Quaint furnitue. Morris chair. Windsor style, and arch back all in good overall condition. Two chairs with cushions have been re-upolstered with a colorful floral print saving the original fabric under(see photo) The cushions still have good spring third chair has a saddle style seat. They are in overall good to very good condition. The Morris chair is missing one of the back pegs. The bow back is missing one seat slat. The arch back had a small leg repair.Chairs have original finish with only normal wear patterns. They were purchased by my great grandmother and have been in the family since. These 3 Arts and Craft/ Mission chairs are a high back 5 spindle type. The seat is curved and has some separation in the seat area as you can see in the images.The chairs measure 42 up the back. 18 seat height and 17 square on the seat. There are no makers marks that I can find. I do not know the type of wood that they are made from, the chairs are very heavy. These chairs have been used and show scrapes, scratches, color wear and such.all you would expect on old used furniture. There is no question that they are hand made as side by side examination show slight differences. There are nails used in the construction and a few are visible on the underside of the seats. If anyone can tell me more about these chairs I would like to hear it, I am not an expert on furniture by any means.
