I have two as shown but this listing is for just one of them. The joints have metal brackets as shown. I have not tried to take them off but they both need some TLC. Also.On one of them two of the castors come off if you lift up the chair but I'm sure this is an easy fix. It looks like they were adjustable at one time but someone put brackets on the bottom to keep it from adjusting. I took quite a few pictures to show any damage and the brackets. The one on the left also has brackets on the base but the one on the right does not. They do however still swivel. Vintage 1900-1950's child's swivel desk chair-believed to be made of oak. Has been refinished in a darker stain. Good condition for its age. One leg cracked at the very top by cast iron fasteners. Back is wiggly-probably just needs tightening. One seam on seat of chair is beginning to separate. Bottom of chair legs are losing their finish. Scuffs and scratches here and there. For sale is an adjustable oak desk chair that swivels. The hardware is from the early 1900's. Not sure on the exact year but on the base it is marked Pat Nov 30 1897. The base is also marked Cook Quality. I have not been able find one quite like this one. It is rustic yet shows very good. Solid craftsmanship. The style would make a nice addition to any style of office or home. Hardware is quite interesting and in good shape. There is a sticker on the underside of the seat showing a bell and on the bell is Local, Long Distance, Telephone. The sticker is also marked 2754. I'm really not sure who made this really nice oak chair but the tightening handles on this chair have a big J; so I think it's a Johnson out of Chicago. It stands 31 1/2" and is 14 3/4 at its widest on the seat. It is made of tiger striped oak and is in perfect condition as far as I can tell. Antique Quarter Sawn Oak Adjustable Swivel Armless Desk Chair
Up for sale is a wonderful vintage/ antique Straight Cut and Quarter Sawn Oak Adjustable Height Swivel Desk Chair. This is a Great Looking Chair and is in very nice original condition. The back rest is adjustable as is the height of the seat. The seat swivels/ spins easily and smoothly. It is in Overall Very Good Condition as you can see from the pics. The wood is quarter sawn oak and its in great shape. There are no real damages and wear is light. I notice one bolt missing from where the backrest Post Cast Iron Lower section attaches on to the base section- shown in the last pic. You will need to replace this bolt to help ensure safety and so you do not cause damage. If I have time I will replace it myself- depends on my schedule. The seat has a minor water stain. It has a good clean original finish. The lower bolt on the backrest post looks ... moreto be an old replacement- not the original. Great Looking Smaller Size- Strong and Sturdy- Very Well Constructed. The seat measures approx 16.5" x 16.5" and when in its lowest position. It stands approx 20-1/4 from the ground to the seats top. The casters are newer, not the old originals. When I package- I will remove the backrest post section to help make it easier to fit in the box. There is a small cast iron section that attaches on to the lower part where the bottom of the post fits onto the base section. this is shown in pic 10 where its attached. I will put this small cast piece in a small box inside the larger box. It will take me a few days to package the chair and a few more to get it to FedEx for shipment. I live in the sticks and the nearest FedEx is 20 miles. Antique Oak High Back Swivel Banker’s Lawyer’s Executive Desk Chair Wakefield For sale is an antique oak high back swivel banker’s lawyer’s executive desk chair. It is pretty unique with the solid top backrest with scroll top corners. The base mechanism is marked H. B. W. Co. Heywood Brothers& Wakefield Company. That dates it from 1897 to 1921. Swivels and is on casters. This chair is in excellent condition with some minor chips along the left edge of the backrest and a small dark spot on the seat. There are a couple of places where the bolts/ screws need tightening. There are no splits or repairs to the wood. The base was removed at some point. Possibly at the time the chair may have been refinished. I’m not sure. When the base was reattached, new holes were used right in front of the original ones and unoriginal screws were used. There ... moreare also about 4 small holes in the seat bottom, 2 on each side. I don’t know what this was for. The seat is about 17 inches from the ground. The backrest is about 40 inches high. This chair was removed from a storage unit filled with the inventory from a New Hampshire antique shop. This is the last piece of oak furniture from the storage.
