It adjusts in height by spinning the seat. It also adjusts at the back and the headrest. Adjusts from seat height 15 1/2" to 19 1/2" high. Seat is 16" side to side( 17 inches all the way to the edge) by 14 to 14 1/2 inches front to back and 2" high; seat back is 14 inches side to side by 7 inches up and down and 1 1/2" thick; wheels are 1 1/2" and distance between legs is 18 inches. As this is a vintage chair there are dings to the wood from years of use which can be seen in the photo's. The underside of the chair has a heavy duty cast iron mechanism with a threaded rod. This allows the chair to swivel and tilt. There is also a screw on the mechanism which allows you to adjust the chair up or down. This will allow you to adjust the height of the chair to fit your desk. The four rolling castors look to me to have been replaced. T his antique solid oak office chair has a stunning wood grain.
