Victorian Oak Dining Chair Set of 2 Pressed Back - Pickup Only
Offered are two(2) carved pressed back dinning chairs. Will need some minor repair and refinishing if desired. Re-glued in a few areas. Believed to be 1900's. Appear to be handmade and carved. Because of irregularities of each one. The crest rails do not match. If machine pressed they would be exactly the same. The. Back rails are not evenly spaced on both either. Aged finish is varnished and dark. Seats are form fitting. The crest rails are probably made from elm and are not. Oak. Purposely, for easier carving. Nice solid feel to them and are tight at the joints. Very good chairs for the age and have potential for a restoration. For pick up. Only- no shipping.
