Condition: Used Location: Ulster Park, United States These type chairs are becoming more difficult to find especially in numbers. They were often used in government settings such as courthouses. Lawyers ... moreand other professionals also seem to appreciate and use them in their offices. However. As they are both functional and practical, they can be used in any area in the home, office, etc. Each chair is solid oak and is tight and sturdy in construction. The finish on each chair is an older finish with a nice patina. The condition of each of the twelve(12) chairs is great with wear appropriate and consistent with the age and use. There appears to be no existing damage or missing pieces to each chair. The construction and design are such so that one is comfortable sitting in them even if for a prolonged time period. The seat and eight(8) slatted back is contoured for a good comfortable sitting position. Eleven(11) of the chairs are identical to the one depicted in pictures 1-7. The twelfth(12th) chair is a matching chair except it is on a swivel base with castors. This chair is in the same condition as the others except it has the word office written on the back of it. The pictures of the swivel chair show some camera light reflection. However the finish is the same as the other chairs) The approx. dimensions of each chair is as follows: 33 1/4" H; 23 1/2" W; and 24" D. The swivel chair is approx. the same measurements as the other eleven(11)chairs) This item can be picked up in Monroeville. Al 36460. If its goes by freight, I can provide the buyer with recommended shippers(if requested) It would then be the responsibility of the buyer to contact the selected shipper for costs and the delivery schedule. Very old-early 1900's and none match as each was a hand made work of art. 5 have backs. The 6th is either missing the back or was a stool. Very thick silver paint on them. Lawyers and other professionals also seem to appreciate and use them in their offices. However. With two pullout extension leaves(17 inches each) it makes the table 96 inches long. Table is 38 inches wide and 29 inches tall. Comes with 5 ornately carved chairs. For 100 years old it is in pretty nice shape. Small dings as one would expect. But it has been oiled with Ballistol and retains a very rich tone despite being such an antique.

I believe that they are cherry they are to light to be oak but I am not 100% sure of the wood type. In nice antique condition with normal wear. Some of the floral and leaves pressed backs have worn. There are normal scratches from age but nothing abnormal. The 7th chair repair is shown in the last picture. They have wood seats with tacks all original. This auction is for an Antique Parlor Set: includes 1 antique sette(couch. Sofa, bench) and 4 matching arm chairs. Originally purchased(nearly $3,000) for theatrical use, however this furniture could not be used due to its value etc. it remains in the same condition and has never been used since we purchased it. The sturdy pieces show no signs of instability. Each piece seems to be in its original condition having had little or no restoration work; as a result there are some minor cosmetic issues, but these pieces are all extremely structurally sound. A pair of early 1900's steel and leatherette Art Deco folding chairs. Manufactured by The Brewer Titchener Corp. out of Cortland. NY, USA. The brand is called Hostess. These modernist. Prohibition era seats fold differently than our modern folding chairs. Rather than the seat folding up towards the back, the back of the chair folds down into the seat, making them perfectly flat. Ingenious design. Wear is commensurate with age and use. The feet are angled and have rubber covers. Some cracks in rubber feet(See photos 10.11) Some expected patination is apparent on the coated metal and minimal rust. One seat has 2 small(1/2 inch) tears in the leatherette seat cushion.See last photo) However. Despite the wear, they are sturdy, serviceable and have a distinctive presence. They were passed on to her mother who in turn left them to her. She had to sell them because she was moving to an assisted living apartment. All 5 chairs are in such great condition you will have trouble realizing they are 110 years old. They are made of European Maple and all the wood is very thick accounting for absolutely none of the hand carving being chipped or cracked. There are some slight scratches and I mean slight. Barely noticeable, on several of the seats. The chairs are Super Solid and you can see why in the photo of the bottom of the seat construction. They were definitely made to last another hundred years. All of the back slats are hand carved and when you look carefully you can see the slight differences in the carving from one section to the next. These TWO EARLY 1900'S ANTIQUE BENTWOOD CHAIRS with VERY SLIGHTLY USED COMPSITIONS SEATS are finished in the same dark walnut stain. And have the same reproduced composition seat coverings. The legs are beautifully curved. The chairs are a series of curves and give a homey tough to any room. These early 1900's chairs would have been popular in ice-cream parlors or pubs. The reproduced seat coverings are composition with intricate pressed designs. They are circled with old fashioned STYLE newer tacks. They are restored to EXCELLENT CONDITON. 2 Captain chairs and 4 normal think it is Mahagony with inlay. Some little pieces inlay are damaged. The table is not for sale.

Vintage settee and 2 chairs early 1900 Victorian style
This offer consists of 1 settee and 2 chairs. They are all in very good condition. They were made by a local craftsman. I had them restored 15 years ago. The chairs and settee have minor scratches on the wood. See pictures. The chairs casters have been replaced with ones during the restoration. The settee back left is missing a curved piece wood decoration. Unknown if artist didn't make it or if it got lost over the years.

Pair ca 1900 Art Nouveau Jugendstil Chairs Organic Carved Wood Majorelle era DIMENSIONS 38 1/2" tall. 24 1/2" wide, 24" deep. Front of arms at 26" tall. Seat at 16" tall. Seat is 21" wide and 19" deep. Sits at 16" tall. DESCRIPTION Pair of ca. 1900 Art Nouveau armchairs with highly stylized organic form. They are carved from solid wood with all pegged construction. No screws. Top of front legs and front of arms have dramatic carving as if they were grown from nature. The organic form is echoed along the arched top headrest and draping lower stretchers. Assumed French but they are unsigned. No reserve. CONDITION Sold as found from recent estate. Reupholstered at some point in the past and the fabric has minor stains but no tears or holes. Each has an older dark finish to wood with minor worn areas. Chairs ... moregenerally sit solid but would benefit from a bit of glue at the front of the arms. Wood has some natural knots. Minor scratches from normal use that blend in with the organic design. See several detailed photos. No reserve. Set of 6 Hitchcock Style Antique Country Chairs with Cane Seats - Early 1900's
This is a set of 6 matching Hitchcock style country farm chairs with caned seats. They have the original painted black finish with gold accent painted trim along the sides. Edges of seats and backs. The backs have a curved back and a curved central cross slat below, turned ringed front legs, ringed stretchers across the front, and 2 stretchers on each side. They have all been recaned and are tight. With no sagging or breaks. The chairs show normal wear appropriate to their age- paint wear. Scratches and one chair has a minor crack across the back slat that was repaired many years ago. It is barely noticeable and can only be seen on close inspection.
