The leather seat looks original and is attached with the iconic metal"rivets"furniture nails. I am selling 3 of these chairs separately but they were all found together at an estate sale. Only 1 was marked and it has only a partial label that says"Port Washington" This leads me to think the maker was the Wisconsin Chair Company. Check out my! Mission chairs with the original leather seat like this one are quite rare on eBay. At the moment I am unable to find any others like it. This chair could be used as a side chair. Desk chair, hall chair or as a dining/breakfast room chair. It has a great patina and is a great example of Arts& Crafts carpentry! The arm chair is 39" Tall in the rear, 18" Tall to the seat, 26 1/2 Tall to the arms, the front is 23" wide, the rear is 18" wide, the arms are 21" wide at the rear and 26 1/2" wide at the front. The chair is made of solid quarter-sawn white oak. The chair is in excellent condition with normal wear. Minor nicks, scratches and a few paint spatters. Antique Mission Oak Arm Chair Arts & Crafts-- final listing -- lowest price
I have an antique chair that I believe dates from the first quarter of the 1900's. Solid oak, with swirled arms, rattan sides and arts and crafts stylized legs. It was purchased by my husband about 25 years ago. Overall it is in great shape for age. It can use a tiny bit of touch up on the wood where there are a few exposed wood spots. A small piece of the rattan side is deteriorated, as shown in the close up photo. Also, the cushions need new foam to prevent sagging, and new upholstery if the current choice is not to your style. The springs that hold the cushion seem to work fine. This is a very solid chair. Nothing is loose, and for most of the chair the original finish is intact. Great Mission oak arm chair. I have been advised it is Harden ca.1910 but it has been refinished a long time ago and they probably sanded off the mark. If not it is definatly The condition is very good, it is mortised and pegged in all the right places. The quarter sawn oak is magnificent. There is two minor spots where the wood is chipped. This is a beautifully crafted side table desk. I believe it to haywood/ wakefield because of the woven caned seat and so strongly resembles their mission style furniture and they did produce school desks of all styles. It would seen to be from a university because of the large size of the seat area. The woven seat is in excellent condition(shocking for the age) It is also finely woven in a twill pattern using very. Very, fine strand cane. Made of oak, the seat is 22" wide at its widest point, overall width is 30" at the widest point and is 36" tall at the top rail. This is another great family piece. This was my grandfather's when he was a young child(born 1907) My late mother kept this chair forever. It has all the original mechanism brackets and bar. I think the cushions are not original. But are very old. They appear to have had buttons on them at one time. Cushions are not perfect, but are still very attractive on the chair. This is a nice one family owner piece with a great look and patina on the original finish. This has been carefully cared for throughout the years. Shows some minor wear being 100 years old and all, but far less than most still original examples that I have seen. Under the seat fabric is a newer piece of wood for its bottom. There is a crack in the back of the chair that is shown in the last photo which does not go all the way through to the front. Hard to find Stickley Bros upholstered chair with barley twist leg and back wing structure. Very sturdy and useable. Original finish on the wood. Somewhat faded and/or worn on the arms from use. Original cushion and back padding are professionally recovered in high quality, fun looking, heavy weight animal print tapestry which could easily be re-upholstered in buyer's choice of fabric, though it is in fine shape. Rare Stickley Bro Quaint Furniture Antique Mission Style 4 Slat Back Arm Chair
This rare Stickley chair was made when the Stickley brothers worked together in Grand Rapids Michigan. It was made with a quarter saw method of oak wood. This chair is rare not only because of it's label. But also because of it's four slats and one of those slats is wider than the others.This is a very simple design without any slats on the arms. I have had this in my possession for about 20 years and do not have the original cushion but it is easy to place a piece of wood inside and add any pillow or cushion of your choice. At some point someone put a black stain over the original finish. It is coming off and can be refinished. I have loved this chair but want it to be loved in another home now. ANTIQUE ORNATE CARVED WOOD CHINOISERIE SPANISH MISSION ARM CHAIR CACTUS FLOWERS
We are pleased to offer this exceptional. Antique(late 19th or early 20th century) chair. This beautiful, Spanish Mission(also chinoiserie characteristics) arm chair is ornately and generously carved. It features scrolled leaves with cactus blossoms and cactus flowers as focal accents. There are 19 spindles under each arm section as well as 23 spindles on the back. The back of the chair features a scalloped edge. There is also a carved upper border which features a carved outline toward the top of the back. The arms have beautiful, large, carved finials. The legs are faux crossed and curved. There is an abundance of carving on them also. There are 6 curved leg supports that run from front to back. While giving the chair additional support, they add interest to the look as well. The chair retains an older, yet very nice, cushion. It is cotton/linen ... moreand has a beautiful, Spanish flower medallion print. It appears to have been custom made for the chair seat. The chair is heavy is definitely hardwood; oak perhaps, we do not know. It is constructed with nails and flathead(straight) screws. It is in very good condition with very little evidence of use or age. The finish is beautiful and is a medium brown. There are only a few minor scuffs which are not distracting. There is one split that appears to have been glued at some point(see photos) It is holding beautifully but could be filled around the edges. It is located under the right arm just above the seat so it is not visible from the front and does not distract. One of the spindles seems to have been repaired at some point as well. It is only obvious under very close inspection. The chair is extremely sturdy and is, in general, FANTASTIC condition. The chair cushion is also in good condition with no staining, rips, etc. The chair measures as follows: It is 32.75" tall to the top of the back. It is 29.25" wide both at the legs and the over hang just under the seat and is the chair is 25" from front to back. The seat is 16.5" tall. 24" wide and

Very nice larger sized antique arm chair. I call this transitional arts/crafts mission. Because it has some aspects of craftsman furniture, yet not total craftsman look. It has been reworked, re-upholstered, and a refreshed finish. I am not sure on the type of wood.it is heavy, like oak, but tighter graining like walnut. Nice solid chair. Local pick up only please.

I am not good at recognizing wood yet but what ever it is it's stunning. Very deep grain when polished. Pearl like luster. The seat pad has been changed with leather and brass tacks. Other then that this looks to be a pure wood only chair. All the joints are dolled. The chairs back measures 39" high and is 18.5" wide. The seat area is 19" x 17" and measures 18" from the ground. To my knowledge this IS a period chair as I have been told. Please feel free to contact me for additional photos or if you have any info.
