Antique PERKO Brass Adjustable Marine Spot Light Boat Search Light Nautical
This is a really cool old Perko marine spotlight or searchlight. It is solid brass and I think the light holder is a cast red brass. I couldn't find anything on the light that a magnet would stick too. It seems to be structurally in good condition. The brass could use cleaning and polishing as there's a lot of patina to the brass. The thin strip around the top and bottom of the light have some small slits. Maybe for fitting the brass around the body of the light. The light is also adjustable to be able to aim the light. The half label on the back is a Perko label. Heavy and well made. It has a GE bulb and I was told it works. The wiring is frayed and you should definitely have it checked out or rewired if you're planning on using it as a light though. See the pictures for more detail. Offered for your bidding consideration is a very rustic looking Perkins Marine Lamp. Handsome verdigris abound! This lamp is located in Stockton. California which is, in tonage, the 4th busiest port on the West Coast. In the early days of California Stockton was the hub. Many regarded Stockton as the in-land San Francisco. It was a rough place and full of vice. Many different forms of boats and ships from sailing vessels to large paddlewheelers made their way to Stockton bringing people and goods. During WWII there were no less than two shipyards making destroyers, balloon barges and tugs for the U.S. Navy. Stockton was also home to the Stephen's Bros. Boat Builders from 1902 to 1987. It's a antique Perko flashlight boat light. Measures 14" tall. Would clamp onto any boat or dingy. The only damage is in pic#5. It has some cracking in thread area. I have a pair of rare vintage brass Perko marine ship's lamps or lanterns. They used to be kerosene or oil but were converted to electric. They are in wonderful shape with no dents or damage and everything is intact. they do however have wear that is consistent with age. Each lantern has a finger lamp inside that is removable as shown in the pictures. A 4 inch reflector/ mirror, and 3 glass panels. Each is also stamped with a brass tag that reads" PERKO Manufacturer's Reg. Trademark Perkin's Marine Lamp& Hardware Corp. Miami Florida USA" on the front and another stamp on the back that reads the same thing. They both measure almost 14" tall. one being about 1/4" taller than the other one. You can definitely tell that these gems were handmade. These are very cool nautical decorations or gifts!

The top features a pierced"lighthouse" shaped vent. The glass is green. Ribbed and convex shaped. There are bars in front of the glass. The"door" to the interior has a bolt action slide. The interior still has the oil and wick original lighting mechanism. The front plate holding the door is bolted on. There is a Perko brass tag stating"Known the World Over" +"Perko" +"P.M.L.Co Bklyn, NY" This lamp was probably originally galvanized to prevent corrosion. WOW! I am selling of a collection of vintage boating items for an old friend that doesn't use the internet. Here as on old vintage wall lamp that is a combo of an old bow light and light fixture. It is OLD! Look at the twisted rope style connection between the wall mounting plate and the old bow light. Of course the red and green bow light lenses are glass. I believe a company that made bow lights also offered these lamps. Maybe Perko Kainer. Or Wilcox Crittenden. There is an on/off switch on the side of the bow light itself. Rare Antique Perko all brass anchor light/masthead powered by dry cell battery. Made by the Perkins Marine Lamp& Hardware Corporation This item was listed in the 1939 Catalog but not the 1934. according to a person on Ebay that sent me a message about it. Also he said he has not seen one on Ebay for the last 4 years. I cannot find another one of these on the internet or Ebay. Perfect mint condition. but missing wire handle. This item is 9 inches tall and 4 inches wide. My understanding of this rare piece was to take it aloft and place on mast during anchor at night. Here is a very old QUALITY made BRASS/ BRONZE? NAUTICAL SHIP LIGHT. This ANTIQUE NAVIGATION light has a 6 1/2 inch base across and is about 5 1/2 inches tall. This light has really nice AGED PATINA and is a GREAT SHOW DISPLAY PIECE. there ARE 5 base bolts with this light. There are no interior parts. The glass shows on only 1/2 side of the light which was probably for a forward facing deck light. I DO NOT KNOW IF THIS WAS FROM A SHIP MAST? There are no makers marks. Very HEAVY about 7 lbs. It was built in the early 1900’s by Perkins Marine Lamp& Hardware Corp. And has their name, city, state, and the“PERKO” trademark stamped on the belt clip. Also, BOAT SIGNAL” in a very large font) is stamped just above hinged door. This lantern features two adjustable handles, belt clip, 3” round clear bullseye lens, and a rotating shutter. Included is the original brass oil font tank and burner, which has“PERKO U.S.A. signed on the wick adjusting knob. Overall, the lamp measures 8½” tall x 3½” wide x 5” deep and weighs two pounds. Originally this unit was zinc plated and painted black. The black paint is almost gone and the zinc plating ... moreis still visible in the non-ware areas. For sale is a nice old marine lamp-lantern made by Perko De Lite Lamp. This one is made of copper and what appears to be galvanized metal. It has the original oil lamp inside and a green and a red glass lens. They are both in good shape and not broken. Mounting bracket on back with original Perko brass tag. Hanging or holding loop on top. This Nautical Ship Lantern measures 10" x 5½" x 5" It is all original and uncleaned. The gentleman I got this from said he used to use the lantern in it when he camped as a kid. Inside you can see the carbon left from when the lamp was lit. I think if this was wired right. This is an exceptional brass antique running light(port side-red glass lens) with a beautiful patina. The top hatch unscrews allowing access to the interior to replace a standard light bulb. The socket is included as is the mounting bracket so the item can be wired and mounted easily. I have owned this for many years having received it in trade from a barge guy on the Columbia River. Dimensions are 10 inches by 10 inches by 14 inches. It is heavy so shipping will be somewhat costly. I was planning on using it as a deck lamp or on my dock. Rare Antique 1920's Perko Brass Ship's Fog Bell Marine Lamp Original Patina
Rare 1920's original 8" fog bell lamp marked on inside of bell. PERKO, Perkins M.S. Co. Bklyn, N.Y. 07-61" Since I couldn't find a similar Perko fog-bell-lamp form anywhere, I contacted the Perko Marine Lamp Corp in Miami Florida with photos of the lamp. They said that this was originally manufactured by Perkins in this lamp-form and that it is not a custom piece made outside the factory by an individual. In their library they found only a 1920 and a 1932 catalog. In the 1920 catalog, they found a lamp that had similar fittings. I believe the markings inside the bell date this lamp to sometime between 1922 when the"PERKO" trademark was created and 1932 when the company name was changed to Perko Marine Lamp and Hardware Corp. It has a well-aged patina. Height from bottom of base to top of eagle finial is 20" ... moreDiameter of bell is 8" Bell has a wonderful resonant. Distinctive fog bell sound. Lamp is in good working order. Not sure if the wiring has been changed at all- the electrical plug is the old-style with prongs of even width. It is made out of brass and has one side with green ribbed glass and the other side with red ribbed glass. There is also a divider made of brass that separates the two colors from view of passing ships on the high seas(sometimes seen missing or damaged on other lights) The brass has a nice patina from many decades of life. There is a decent size dent on the slightly-domed top(please see photos) The side of the light is marked with Perko's logo and company info. Being made in Brooklyn,NY. My guess as to age would be from around the 1930s or 40s. It could be even earlier-back into the 20s or so- but I'm not certain. The glass is in good condition. The diameter measures 3/8 inches. The diameter of the glass ball lens measures 1 1/2 inches. The glass has no cracks or chips. There is a bulb inside that has not been tested. I have not taken it a part. The original cloth cover wire extends from the bottom. There is no damage to the brass pole. I do not know exactly what this came off. Pair Antique Brass Gimbaled Oil Cabin Lamps Electrified One Perko Nautical
This auction is for a pair of brass electrified gimbaled oil lamps. One has a Perko stamp in the bottom. As you can see from the photos. One is slightly smaller than the other. They can be either wall-mounted or stood as in the photo. I have left the patina as is. Please see photo for condition and description. Will sell and ship to the contiguous US only. Vintage Antique Brass Perko Marine Running Stern Light
Please read entire description before bidding! I am only shipping within the continuous US states at this time and not overseas. Hello. This is an auction for a Perko marine running light. Mark Perko, Brooklyn, NY. USA. It has red and green lenses. There is a small chip on the bottom of the red lens(please see pictures) It is approx. 4 3/4" tall. The base is threaded and screws onto the bottom of the light. It is in excellent condition and is ready to install. Thanks for looking. And good luck bidding!
