Very Nice Pair of Brass Maritime Ships Lanterns- Lamps Up for auction is this very nice pair of antique brass maritime ships lanterns/ lamps. They are in excellent condition with NO major damage as shown. I am not sure if they are mining or ships lanterns but I was told they are ships lanterns. They have a handle on the back that folds. A chimney, inside components that are marked Barton Burner Co, and they measure 10.25" high x 4-1/4" x 3-3/4" at the base. Maritime Buoy Lamp Set 1950s House lamps
These eye catching‘Buoy’ table lamps are estimated to be made in the 1950s– 1960s. I never did determine who the manufacturer was. But the one of the glass globes has the letters‘K– S’ on the top for Kilborn Sauer. The other just has an‘R’ The lamps have been rewired to current spec; the three way switches are brand new as are the sockets in the buoys themselves, they now handle the 7 watt candelabra bulbs.

I have a pair of rare vintage brass Perko marine ship's lamps or lanterns. They used to be kerosene or oil but were converted to electric. They are in wonderful shape with no dents or damage and everything is intact. they do however have wear that is consistent with age. Each lantern has a finger lamp inside that is removable as shown in the pictures. A 4 inch reflector/ mirror, and 3 glass panels. Each is also stamped with a brass tag that reads" PERKO Manufacturer's Reg. Trademark Perkin's Marine Lamp& Hardware Corp. Miami Florida USA" on the front and another stamp on the back that reads the same thing. They both measure almost 14" tall. one being about 1/4" taller than the other one. You can definitely tell that these gems were handmade. These are very cool nautical decorations or gifts!

They are solid copper with glass lenses and appear to be very nice quality lamps. We believe that these were made in the 1960's era as replacements for the original antique lamps. I would imagine that they were very expensive to purchase when new. They measure 9 1/2 inches tall" not counting the bail handle" by about 6 inches wide. Purchased at Alameda Antique Fair in California 15 years ago and kept them just as they are. I was going to clean them up but I think best to leave alone. There are no cracks in the glass.
