Up in this auction is a pair of Perko Port& Starboard ... moreRunning Lights. Painted Red& Green and long ago electrified. Each measures approx. 10 1/2" across and 18" tall. In shabby chic condition with dents, dings and paint loss throughout. But. so cool. For those not familiar with Perko, here is their story from off their site(GREAT SITE! The PERKO Story consists of many interesting pieces. They make up a modern day marine hardware success story that goes back over 100 years! The story starts with Frederick Persky. Who later became known as Frederick Perkins. He was a Russian immigrant who was schooled in Germany as a machinist and tool-and-die maker. Frederick came to the United States in the early 1890's and soon became employed as a machinist for E.W. Bliss& Company in Brooklyn, New York. In the early 1900's, he and a partner began operating a business, F. Persky& Company, Lantern Manufacturer, out of the basement of his house. In 1907. Frederick's son Louis joined him in the business, and together they enlarged both the product line and the manufacturing facilities. Item Description: You are bidding on an antique Perko ship lantern. The lens is red which I believe indi cates that the lantern is for the port side of a ship. The lantern measures approximately 22" X 15" X 12" and weighs 13.5 lbs. There are two small chips in the glass lens(see photo 7) and other wear consistent with age and use. But otherwise the lantern is in good condition. I used an electric lamp to give you a demonstrat ion of the color of the lens(see photos 1 and 2)

Antique Vtg Rare Perko Nautical Marine Ship's Lantern Port Starboard Combination
Antique Vtg Rare Perko Nautical Marine Lantern Port Starboard Combination This cool old Perko nautical lantern is a hard to find model. According to my search for a similar one. The lantern has both port& starboard lenses, with a dividing plate between the ribbed red& deep aqua green glass. The lantern has old silver paint with typical surface age. The interior lamp is brass& shows surface greening. The wick advances. One of the two side mounting brackets on the interior lamp is missing. The lantern displays very nicely& the glass on the lantern is free of any chips or cracks. No dents. It measures 11" high to the top of the holding ring by 4.5" wide and 7" deep. Vintage Perko De-Lite Ship's Running Lamp - Port Starboard Combination
This is a vintage Perko De-Lite running lamp with red and green ribbed glass. It has a dividing plate between the port and starboard lenses. Inside there is a brass oil lantern- in very good condition- minimal interior rust- made by Simplex. It still has the wick- also in good condition. Behind the oil lantern there is a socket for a light bulb(6 or maybe 12 volt) The access doors are brass- the body is galvanized. The ring at the top does move easily- latches on doors also work great. Measurements approx. 5" wide x 5" deep x 9 1/2" tall- not including divider on the front or ring on top- just lamp itself. Overall condition ranging 1 to 10 would be about a"7" very good. Please ask any questions you might have. Thanks!

vintage starboard/port maritime ship lantern set PERKO?
Purchased on ebay many years ago. Each lantern measures ~12.5 in tall(to top of ring) and ~8in across(at widest measurement) They are vintage and weathered. I am not sure of maker or age. But they look similar to Perko lanterns. The"Starboard" and"Port" wording are mostly gone, weathered away. Then lens of each is is good shape. The port lens, red, has someVERY minor superficial scratches in a small area, but no chips, cracks or other flaws that I can see. The starboard lens, green, has a few areas of"pits" but no obvious cracks or chips. The bottom pieces and burners of each are missing, as per the picture of one. Paypal only. Antique PERKO lantern with a thick Ruby Red lens which has a tiny chip. The lantern measures approximately 10 1/2" high(not including the handle- 1 3/4" and 7" wide. It has little Christmas Tree vents at the top and at the posterior bottom. Hinged door opens to an interior ring. Interior burner is missing. The well known PERKO company has been making marine lanterns since the early 1900's in Brooklyn. NY. I have no idea how old this lantern is. It doesn't appear to have been altered or painted and has a gorgeous vintage patina. TIP: For those of us lacking in Nautical skills. Set of 3 Old Signed PERKO Brass Marine Lamps PORT STARBOARD & MASTHEAD
This is an original matching set. Each signed"PERKO, PERKINS MARINE LAMP& HARDWARE CO. BROOKLYN, N.Y. U.S.A. on the back. All three are brass, with original burners signed"PERKO U.S.A. on the wick adjustment knobs. The red and green lenses are signed"PERKO" and the clear lens appears to be unsigned. The clear lens has NO chips, the green lens has one tiny nick, and the red lens has two chips, each approx. 1/2" long on the top edge. Each lamp measures approx. 11-3/4" high to top of cap and 13-1/2" high to top of ring. All three are from the same vintage, with kerosene fonts and burners, but also with a place to wire a small electrical socket. At some point in their life all three were painted with a coat of light brown paint, which will strip off easily enough. These are rather heavy, so figure on 9-10 ... morepounds shipping weight-at least. I combine shipping whenever possible, and normally will ship worldwide within one day of receiving payment. Here is a great vintage Perko port side ship lantern. It has a couple of dings and dents but still shows well. It also has a small chip in red lens at the top. But after some research it is determined that these are Perko Perkins brand. Both are in pretty good shape despite being very old. Please see photos for condition. Antique maritime kerosene oil lantern Perko Port side red lens
I believe that this is a Perko lantern but I am not 100% sure as I could not find any markings.The lantern is made of galvanized steel with a brass top and font.It measures 12" tall X 8" wide across the front with the glass measuring about 5" wide and 5" high and it even has the original mounting bracket which is never found. Really cool Perko marine cabin lanterns. These are manufactured to function either as oil or electrical lighting. They are like new condition. Never been utilized, but stored for years. They are solid brass, 8 3/4" tall(not including top ring) and 4 1/2" in dia. at the base. Time has toned the brass down to an even, lightly darker patina. The electric light receptacle is for a double contact bayonet type bulb. Great Pair Large WW2 Perkins Perko Marine& Hardware Lamp Co. Port& Starboard This is a great pair of large Perko WW2 Ships Port& Starboard lamps as shown. These came from an estate here in Slocum. RI, and they were mounted on a U.S. ship that a member of the family was employed on during the war. I cannot verify this, just going by what I was told. Anyway, they have been electrified some time ago, and they are wired together so they both light together. They are quite large, measuring 22" tall, x 10" x 10" x 15" from point to point of the front rounded part. There is a small chip on the bottom edge of the red lense, although the picture makes it look a lot bigger. No cracks or hairlines on either lense. Both lenses are quite heavy duty glass, and look great lit up. Shipping weight will be about 30-lbs.

Offered is a pair of vintage Perko or Perkins(Miami. Florida) port and starboard lanterns in original condition. They are triangular in shape measuring 13” tall(16” including handle) approximately 11” across the curved front, and each side is 6” deep. Both lanterns have a wonderful patina consistent with age but do not appear to have been used… the burners and chimneys are clean, with original wicks. Each has a couple of minor dents and one of the chimneys has some wear at the top. Otherwise, condition is fabulous if, like me, you love this type of patina. I’m not sure of the metal, but it looks like copper? A magnet does not stick. If you are looking for perfectly polished and shiny lanterns. These are not for you. Vintage Very Large"Perko" Ship Lamps Port& Starboard Red& Green Fresnel Matched Pair Maritime Marine Boat Lamps/Lanterns Here's a matched pair of nautical lamps made by Perko of Perkins Marine Lamp& Hardware Corp. Brooklyn N.Y. U.S.A. The red and green fresnel lenses are in excellent conditions with some great bubbles from when the glass was formed. They are made of galvanized sheet metal with brass or copper tops and openings on the bottom. The galvanized metal is very solid with very little areas of surface rust. nothing major. These are original vintage Lamps dating from somewhere between the 1930's to the 60's based on their websites timeline. Actual manufacture date is unknown. The lamps are 18" tall. 22" tall with the handle extended, 10" wide and 18" across the front. I purchased ... morethese lamps 28 years ago with the intention of wiring them. They've been carefully stored indoors waiting for the project to begin. I never got around to wiring them. It's time to pass them along to a new owner. Bulbs and wiring or burners are not included. Lighted Bulbs were placed inside the lamps temporarily for photographic purposes to show how the lamps may look when illuminated. The gas burners weren't with them when I acquired them. These lamps would look great mounted at a pier. Dock or a boathouse. was initially known as Perkins Marine Lamp. Inc. The original focus was on the manufacture of hand formed sheet metal products for the marine market. The first catalog was published in 1916, with a product line as diverse for its time as PERKO's catalog is today. Unusual Antique "Perko" Maritime Bow OIL Lantern ~Starboard & Port Lenses
Vintage“Perko” Maritime Bow Marker Oil Lamp Port& Starboard There seams to have been some repair to secure the Lenses and a Copper divide has been welded in on front of lamp. The Main case is galvanized metal and the top is brass. The Body is in good condition. With a mounting bracket on back and a Perko" oval stamped brass logo plate. The Lenses are red and a green(Port& Starboard) and in Perfect condition The Oil Burner seems to be a working unit with a wick still in place. The bottom of the lamp has a pinch clip insert. Pair of Antique of Perko Nautical Lamps DESCRIPTION Perko from Brooklyn. New York. These pieces are made out of galvanized steel and an oil canister. They also have red and green glass lenses on them. CONDITION Good Condition: but quite a bit of age and use related wear. These pieces are in all original condition with some visible age to them. The base oil lantern piece had pegs that I assume held it to the light assembly when rotated but these are worn down and do not hold it in place while hung. Nice pair of old Perko split-lens boat oil lanterns from my collection. These were just restored over 20 years ago when I purchased them. One side is green the other is red. These are galvanized lanterns with brass trim and top ring. They are each 8" tall to the top of the ring. And 5" across at the base. The last four photos show the lanterns sitting on top of a flash light to show the color of the lens. All lens are crack-free and not chipped. Large PERKO Brass Ship Lanterns Lamps Port & Starboard Fresnel Lens Vintage Boat
For your consideration is a matching pair of Perko Brass Ship Lanterns. These were the port and starboard lanterns on a ship. These are vintage. I do not know the exact age of them. Each lantern has a Fresnel glass lens. They have been converted to electricity so that you can plug them in and they light up. They both work as you can see in the pictures. These are large lanterns each measuring approx. 12 1/2" T 10" W and each weighing over 11 lbs. They have some scuffs to the metal as you can see in the photos but overall are in great condition. The lens cover on one has 2 chips on an edge. The largest measures just under an inch(see photos) This is a unique pair of lanterns seeing that they are a matching pair, are as large as they are and that they have been converted to electricity and work! 2 VINTAGE "PERKO" PERKINS MARINE LAMP LIGHT SHIP BOAT NAUTICAL Port/Starboard
I don't know anything about these as they were found in an estate clean out. I was told they are Perko lamps but found no markings- please do your own homework. Both look to have been rewired based on the 12v sticker inside. Now they have 110v wiring, one is missing a plug. Look to be made out of brass and galvanized, and the exterior of the galvanized is painted a flat black. Both lenses appear to be in great shape and are stamped'Perkins C/L 3 Side' and'FIC259 Mould No 3' They are approx 12" x 6" x 6" each and weigh about 3 3/4 lbs each. Vintage Perko Port & Starboard Red & Green River Boat Ship Nautical Light LARGE
We are selling a set of Maritime Ship Lights. The plate reads Perko manufacturers Perkins Marine Lamp& Hardware Corp Miami Florida. We had these on display and have moved to a much smaller home and just don't have the room for them anymore. They make a great display and conservation piece. These measure approximately 8 1/2 inches x 8 1/2 inches x 12 inches high. One of the lights are green and the other is red for port and starboard. The gentleman we bought these from is a member of the Corps of Engineers and gave us this information about the lights. They are off of a riverboat that was over 100 years old and its home was on the Cumberland River. They scuttled the boat in the 90's to make it a home for fish(a fishing reef) He saved them for himself prior and used them as display. They currently are not wired for lights but could ... moreeasily be done. He called them riverboat port and starboard lights. These lights are very old but in good condition for there age there are some dings and cracks see photos. We bought a total of 4 lights from him see my other items as we are listing them all today. Pair of Vintage Antique Brass Perko Marine Ship Oil Lamp Lanterns Port Starboard
This listing is for a pair of Vintage Antique Perko Nautical Marine Ship Port and Starboard Oil Lamp Lanterns. Both lanterns are marked Perkins Marine Lamp& Hardware Corp. Perko Brooklyn. NY, USA. The lanterns are in good shape for their age and the lanterns themselves stand about 9 inches tall. They do have some dents and dings towards the tops of the lanterns but the glass has no cracks and is in good shape. They do have alot of oxidation, minor on the outside and major on the inside. I was not going to clean them because I did not want to discolor them but they will hopefully clean up very nicely if cleaned properly. In the last picture you can see one hinge is slightly bent so it is a little harder to close and open that side of the lantern but each opening on the lanterns do lock.
