This is an antique globe lantern with globe red glass. Measures 15.75" tall x 9 1/2" across. The beautiful red glass that appears to be hand blown reads"Perkins 10" Frederick Perkins founded the Perkins Marine Lamp Company in the late 1800's in Brooklyn. His lamps were hand formed and soldered from brass. Copper and galvanized steel. About 1922, the trademark name PERKO was introduced and their products were marked with PERKO instead of PERKINS. Up for sale is this vintage Perko. Perkins marine lantern. It is in the same condition as when I bought it, dirty, and that is the way it will be received. It looks as though it was dropped on the side and sort of pushed in the side of the bottom. Not sure about the fixture inside, don't know if that is original. this is a very old metal signal light of some sort. Crumpled metal label on back reads PERKINS MARINE LAMP& HDW CORP. Brooklyn NY so I assume it is a boating or navigational lamp of some sort. 11 1/2" tall. About 6" wide and 9" deep with the flap that separates the two ridged glass lenses, one is green and one is red. Lenses are held in with copper or brass fittings and cap is same metal. The metal body is rusted out on about the bottom 3/4 inch and fits over somekind of lighting mechanism but I don't know what kind. this could be used for parts for another lamp of the same type or possibly restored, I don't know. back has a flat mount of some sort. don't know if it goes over an electric or gas light on a post, or how it was used. California which is, in tonage, the 4th busiest port on the West Coast. In the early days of California Stockton was the hub. Many regarded Stockton as the in-land San Francisco. It was a rough place and full of vice. Many different forms of boats and ships from sailing vessels to large paddlewheelers made their way to Stockton bringing people and goods. During WWII there were no less than two shipyards making destroyers, balloon barges and tugs for the U.S. Navy. Stockton was also home to the Stephen's Bros. Boat Builders from 1902 to 1987. Stands about 15 inches tall and 7 inches round Was originally oil lamp was converted to electric No holes where drilled but oil tank has cracks in the side and top vent has some cracks or splits and base has one splits all from heat and age.And glass has a small bruise spot on the edge didn't even see it till i cleaned the glass some.Most of the cracks you will never see unless you are looking for them.Still a nice original cool lantern for your man cave or hang out side.

Up for auction is a an antique maritime fixed globe kerosene lantern. This is an old maritime ship's lantern. Sometimes known as an anchor lantern or a riding light. It is approximately 13" tall and the globe has a 8" diameter. According to an expert's research. This was most certainly made by" Perko" the Perkins Lamp Company. Brooklyn, NY. It likely dates to the first quarter of the 1900s. The glass bulb looks like it may be a later replacement as it doesn't have the original"Perko" embossed onto the bulb. There is some minor evidence of resoldering, likely when the bulb was replaced. The bulb is in very good condition, with no chips or cracks. It measures about 12" high(not including the handle) and the base is 6 3/4" in diameter. Again, this is for the frame part only. Antique Collectible Perkins Marine Maritime Nautical Lamp Lantern NO RESERVE
Perkins Marine Lantern/Lamp Mfrd by: Perkins Marine Lamp Corporation. Brooklyn, NY This is a highly collectible antique marine lantern/lamp. This was inherited from a grandparent and has been in my storage for at least a decade alone. I do not know the exact age but can only guess it is at least 50 years plus. This lantern has a chain attached to hang from a ceiling or other and takes a standard lightbulb. I do not know if this was the original configuration or it was modified like this. It has not been damaged by other modifications like similar lamps offered on eBay that are attached to bases or made into lamps. I have never polished this item so I assume it is brass and not copper. The dimensions are approximately 18 in. from the top of the handle to the bottom of base. It is 14 and 3/4 in. tall without the handle. The width is approximately ... more7 and 1/2" The condition is excellent except two minor spots. First. All of the rods that protect the glass are all present in place and not bent or otherwise damaged. However, the top of one of the rods(see photo) is loose. This will need to be re-brazed in place which I am told is a easy and cheap fix. The second spot is a small dent on the base of the lantern(see photo) This could be hammered out easily or left alone to show the lamps character. The glass is clear and intact but has a minor nick or two in a couple of the ridges which are not noticeable without searching for, but there are NO Cracks or other damage to the glob. Similar lamps on eBay have starting prices of almost $200 and go past $500 and do NOT include shipping. And they are missing parts and in far worse condition. Large Vintage Antique Perkins PERKO Ship Light Lantern Nautical Maritime Running
I am selling an old PERKO Ship Light. As pictured. There are 4-5 small cracks in the metal around the screws, but it is still very solid and together structurally. I am not sure how old it is. An expert would know better. The light itself measures about 13 inches from top to bottom. Perfect for re-purposing. Very old perkins! Lantern has several dents. I've taken pictures of all the dents so please look carefully. Lantern has a clear lens. I had a brand new light fixture installed and new cord. Has a 8 1/2" chain. Lantern is 14 1/2" high x 6" wide. Does not have an oil burner. Once again. Please look at pictures carefully before you bid, as you will see all the dents.
