Antique Vintage Boat Nautical Marine Oil lamps Port Starboard Green Red Ship
Up for auction are two antique nautical port/ starboard oil lamps. I have yet to see a pair exactly like this with smooth glass. Unfortunately i do not see any markings on them. The body's of the lamp appear to be galvanized but i could be wrong. The lenses of these lamps are in very nice shape with no visable cracks. One is green and one is red. These lamps appear complete minus the one is missing a part out of the bottom as seen in the picture. The only other issue is that the top of the one lamp has a dent and the top has some minor damage. Other then that they would make a great display piece. These are being sold as is. Up for bidding are these estate sale finds of 2 Vintage Marine Port and Starboard Ships lanterns. They measure approx 11 1/2" h x 7" w. They have a triangle shape. With great patina one is basically grey and the other one red. The grey one has a blue glass with ridges and the red one has a red glass with ridges. No major dents. They weigh 2 lbs. each. They are solid brass and weigh about 27 pounds each. The screw off top weighs at least 1 pound. The dimensions are about 17 inches high by 11 + inches on a side. They have two sockets in each lamp. The pictures show the color with only a single 40 watt bulb. They should probably be rewired as the wiring looks old. They are in excellent condition and have been stored for many decades. There is a very substantial brass mounting bracket on the side of each lantern. I was told they came from a liberty ship used in World War II. Very nice set of vintage lanterns. In decent shape. A very few minor blemishes. One has a green bulb and the other has a red one. Made of copper or tin. Do not think they are brass. Very light weight. On the lanterns"Starboard" and"Port" are etched. Do not know much about these. They are old and say Hong Kong on the bottoms. No other markings. I only came across two other sets identical to these online. That where sold in the past. So they are rare. They have been in storage for a few years so are in very good condition. Vtg Perkins PERKO Marine Boat Lamp Starboard Bow Green Red Glass Light Lantern
This listing is for a vintage Perkins PERKO Marine boat Kerosene Lamp. Finding one in better condition than this one will be a challenge. The lamp is made of Galvanized metal and has a Brass Top/Finial and the Kerosene lights hardware is made of Brass. The Dark Green and red lens are made of Glass and are chip and damage free. The design of this lamp is different than most others. The inside hardware is accessible from the bottom of the lamp only. It has ingenious spring loaded tabs of each side. If you want to pull out the hardware you simply squeeze the tabs and pull the hardware out. As you can see from the photo's the Brass hardware is in excellent condition and includes what is probably the original wick.I think this lamp has spent most of it's life indoors. The outside Galvanized Metal is also in excellent condition. Nothing ... moreis loose. All corners etc very tight construction. The top finial piece with hanging loop is made of Brass. I did not clean this. Left the original patina. I did however clean the Brass Perkins/ Perko identification tag because I could not read what it says. This is a very nice set of antique Tung Woo ship lanterns. They have some general wear(tarnish/scuffs/scratches) But look very good for their age. They have"Tung Woo Hong Kong" stamped into the front with a flying horse. They are 7" tall, and 5" wide. They both have wicks inside. One wick is black, and one is white(unused? I don't see any obvious damage to these, and the glass is brightly colored with no cracks. I don't know too much about these, so if you have any specific questions, let me know. I am happy to help. Great Maching pair of Vintage Perko bronze signal lights.these are old ones. Measure 5 inches tall 5" wide and 4 deep. Looks like they were built in or flush mount style. Red Glass lens reads Perkins No 2 Blue lens reads Mld 2 Fig 259.both have some chips. But not visible when mounted in the fixtures. Stamped Perko on the access housing to the bulb. Here is a great nautical set of large ship brass and copper lanterns for your buying consideration. Recently acquired them at an auction that a party's collection of marine/nautical items were being sold. We will have a number of these pieces for sale separately in our Ebay store. The lanterns would make a great gift or keep them for yourself. I would guess these lanterns are of World War II vintage. No maker marks or year made marks on the lanterns that I can ascertain. Great set of port(red) and starboard(green) brass ship lanterns for your decor needs. The lanterns were electrified at some point in the past. The lenses in each one are glass and not cracked or blistered. Each glass piece ... morewas caulked into each of the lanterns at some point in the past. The lantern cases are in good shape. Show some finish loss. The red lantern has the lip along the top of the lantern bent in and that bottom corner has a ding. The glass lens was not damaged there in either place. Each lantern is 14.25" tall. By 11.5" across, by 10.75" wide. I do not see a maker's mark on the lanterns. The brass tops screw off to access the inside of each lantern. Someone has put aluminum foil inside to get better reflection of the light thru to the lens. These were electric lanterns originally, but the light unit inside is certainly not the original one. The back piece that the lanterns would slide on to a bar are still in place. The cords are the lanterns are older, but still look to be in usable condition. I would recommend you have the cords and wiring checked out by a professional before using them from a safety perspective. vintage nautical boat bow light red green torpedo bolt on port starboard U.S.A
This is a vintage bow light that is a bolt on unit and can be removed when not needed. It came in a box of fishing and hunting items. It's made in USA. I can't see a manufacturers name though. It has patent no. 2301714 on both sides. The internals look good. This wasn't stored with a battery in each side. So it's not all corroded or anything. The bulbs look clean and the parts look good, the inner housing have some light rust. The external parts show it's age. It could be cleaned up. But, I don't like to clean and shine old items, I would rather sell them as they come, as they look, and let the buyer decide. So, what it looks like is what it is. Pair of antique ship's running lights - Port (red) and Starboard (blue-green)
PAIR OF ANTIQUE SHIP'S RUNNING LIGHTS This is a very attractive pair of ship's lights. Made of galvanized metal. Nicely weathered. Believe that were made in the 1920's.They are not a matching pair but they are pretty well matched as they are of identical style and dimension. The Port light has a badge with the inscription"British Manufacture" and because of the style and construction is to be believed that the Starboard light is of the same origin. Both have slide out oil burners with respective wicks and glass tubes, the wick adjusters are working normally. The Starboard blue-green glass is cracked but is firmly set and not at all loose(see photo) Measurements: 11 1/2" tall(without handle) x 6"wide x 6"wide. Pair of Copper finish Ship Corner Lanterns- Starboard" +"Port" Decorative Reproduction set- great for a nautical themed room! There is red painted glass on the'port' lantern. And green painted glass on the'starboard' lantern. Both lanterns are in fairly good condition. There is some chipping of paint on the glass- especially the green colored glass. The lantern inserts themselves have not been filled with oil or lit. They are marked"Made in Hong Kong. Each lantern measures approximately 12" tall with the handle up. Vintage Perko Port & Starboard Red & Green River Boat Ship Nautical Light LARGE
We are selling a set of Maritime Ship Lights. The plate reads Perko manufacturers Perkins Marine Lamp& Hardware Corp Miami Florida. We had these on display and have moved to a much smaller home and just don't have the room for them anymore. They make a great display and conservation piece. These measure approximately 8 1/2 inches x 8 1/2 inches x 12 inches high. One of the lights are green and the other is red for port and starboard. The gentleman we bought these from is a member of the Corps of Engineers and gave us this information about the lights. They are off of a riverboat that was over 100 years old and its home was on the Cumberland River. They scuttled the boat in the 90's to make it a home for fish(a fishing reef) He saved them for himself prior and used them as display. They currently are not wired for lights but could ... moreeasily be done. He called them riverboat port and starboard lights. These lights are very old but in good condition for there age there are some dings and cracks see photos. We bought a total of 4 lights from him see my other items as we are listing them all today. Vintage Red/Green pair of Glass Nautical Ship Lantern Table Lamps 2 lights per lamp. These have most llikely been rewired. Each lamp has 2 switches one is for the upper bulb and one in the base for the nightlight. Can be one at a time on or both on at t ime. The red and green glass globe is in good condition with no cracks or chips. Brass needs some cleaning other wise it is in good shape with a few signs of age. Green base switch not currently working.
