Old "Anchor" Copper Light - Electric Wired Hall Light???
This auction is for a copper nautical light marked"Anchor" on top. I know absolutely nothing about this light. It is copper and has an old patina. I did not try to polish it. It may have a little brass. I rewired it and have a new 50W bulb which I think is too bright. It works. I rewired it as a hall light. With a cord less than 2 feet long. The bottom has two screws making the inside easy to access. This light would hang from a wall mounted arm. The light itself is 5 inches tall and 6" if you include the ring on top. I believe the glass is actually glass and not plexiglass. Also shown in the last two pictures are the pair. I do not see a Maker's name anywhere.so I couldn't tell you who made it. Right now it is wired to just be plugged into a socked.someone put the end on it. You can easily wire it directly to the wall, if desired. It uses one standard size bulb. From the base to the top of the anchor measures approx. 9 1/2" tall. Antique Anchor Copper Oil/ Electric Ship Style Lantern Lamp
You are looking at an Antique Copper Anchor Lantern/ Lamp. This lantern is 19 inches tall and comes with an electric light kit as well as oil burner. The Fresnel style lens is made to magnify the oil lamp light to be visible for 20 nautical miles. Lamp is hand machined in pure heavy-gauge copper with brass trim.
