Today for your consideration we have a Beautiful Ship Nautical Oil/Kerosene Hang Lantern with five panels of glass(2 Red and 2 Green and 1 clear) incase in Brass with Port and Starboard embossed on each side respectively. Has a handle on the top to hang. And on the bottom it fits into slots to hold a kerosene or oil with wick. Top opens. There are no nicks or chips in the glass but some loss to color on the red and green see photos. Extremely great piece and would be great in your home for lighting or patio or boat. Air holes in the base for oxygen. Very large it measures 12 and 1/4" tall. The base measures 8 and 3/4" across the center and around the middle 27" Weighs 3.12 pounds and due to fragile nature and proper shipping I am adding 2 pounds for shipping. Antique Vtg Rare Perko Nautical Marine Lantern Port Starboard Combination This cool old Perko nautical lantern is a hard to find model. According to my search for a similar one. The lantern has both port& starboard lenses, with a dividing plate between the ribbed red& deep aqua green glass. The lantern has old silver paint with typical surface age. The interior lamp is brass& shows surface greening. The wick advances. One of the two side mounting brackets on the interior lamp is missing. The lantern displays very nicely& the glass on the lantern is free of any chips or cracks. No dents. It measures 11" high to the top of the holding ring by 4.5" wide and 7" deep. Vintage ship's starboard lantern in a unique tri-plex shape. One of the largest I've seen at 21" from base to finial. 11" x 11" square with the typical curved front. Thick blue glass(not an interchangeable light filter) with horizontal grooves. Brass trim and a brass finial with hanging ring. Great"keyhole" vent holes throughout. Suffers from an untidy paint job and is in need of some updating. Missing original kerosene lamp and has been converted with a light socket. Needs new electrical cord. Brass has a lovely patina and there is still some vintage kerosene soot on the inside of this lamp. There is a small spot on the bottom by a switch of some sort that corrosion has eaten through the metal. But it's repairable and not endemic to the rest of the lantern. Glass is free of cracks or chips.

Purchased on ebay many years ago. Each lantern measures ~12.5 in tall(to top of ring) and ~8in across(at widest measurement) They are vintage and weathered. I am not sure of maker or age. But they look similar to Perko lanterns. The"Starboard" and"Port" wording are mostly gone, weathered away. Then lens of each is is good shape. The port lens, red, has someVERY minor superficial scratches in a small area, but no chips, cracks or other flaws that I can see. The starboard lens, green, has a few areas of"pits" but no obvious cracks or chips. The bottom pieces and burners of each are missing, as per the picture of one. Paypal only. Burner stamped THE NATIONAL MARINE LAMP CO. metal plate on the flat back side has a patent date of APRIL 1ST 1913. 10" tall to the top of the ring on top, 4 3/4" wide, 4 1/2" deep, galvanized metal. The burner is rusted through and is missing one of two metal tabs that held it in place. The metal lantern shows areas of surface rust but is solid and not flimsy in any way, ding on the cupola where the ring is mounted, both pieces of glass in good condition. For sale is a very unique item. This is a vintage circa early 1900's divided port and starboard red and green ships lantern. It measures 10 inches tall not counting the handle. With the handle it is 14 1/2 inches tall. Across the back it is 10 3/4 inches wide. Side measurements are 9 3/4 inches wide. The glass measures approx. 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 inches. I do believe it is brass as a magnet does not stick. It is an electric lantern with the original on/off switch. It is in very good original condition. This was found in Key West FL. Antique Navigational Wilcox & Crittenden Port & Starboard Oil Lantern Pair
For Sale is a very nice set of 2 original oil burning nautical. Maritime Navigational Lanterns.The main housing is constructed of galvanized iron and the top cover is copper. However they have not been shined up. The original manufacturer was Wilcox& Crittenden& Co. There trademark was Capital W with a Capital C embossed on top of one another. The factory was in Middletown, CONN. USA. There is a photo of the Logo which appears to be embossed on brass, it is on the side, located on top of a metal sleeve, which is riveted on the lantern itself. This sleeve must have been used to slip over something to hold it secure to the ship. Both sleeves are intact and extremely secure. This embossing is very difficult to capture in a photo as the glare, and clarity of a photo so close. The lanterns stand just shy of 13" tall with the hanging ... moreloop standing up. They are made to fit in a corner. The sides measure 5" With the front curving around to meet the 2 sides. The glass itself is 5" tall and is almost 90 degrees. One lantern has fresnel green glass for the starboard, and the lantern with the fresnel red glass is for the port. The glass on both lanterns is in very good shape and have no cracks or chips. The metal round accesses to the oil chambers/wicks are both present and appear tight when screwed in. The wick chambers need cleaning, but seem to work, and even have wick left in them! We didn't attempt to light them, but knowing something about oil lanterns, don't see any reason they wouldn't work, however this isn't a guarantee. just presenting things honestly. The metal. Nowhere, on either lantern shows any sign of rust. However they are a brown color. Paint appears to be old, in some places chipping, or peeling off. There are the usual signs of true usage. Wear and tear. Overall appear to be in very good shape. I have not checked them for leakage, however on inspection, I don't see any reason they would leak. I have no idea how old they are. Antique Likely 19th Century Maritime Ship Nautical Lantern Port & Starboard
This is a nice antique likely 19th century unusual maritime ship nautical lantern with port& starboard/ red& green glass that is separated by a protruding piece of metal. In pretty nice shape as the pics show with some decoration around the top and it does have some minor imperfections with the 2 worst being seen in the last couple of pics and it comes exactly as shown. Unusual Antique "Perko" Maritime Bow OIL Lantern ~Starboard & Port Lenses
Vintage“Perko” Maritime Bow Marker Oil Lamp Port& Starboard There seams to have been some repair to secure the Lenses and a Copper divide has been welded in on front of lamp. The Main case is galvanized metal and the top is brass. The Body is in good condition. With a mounting bracket on back and a Perko" oval stamped brass logo plate. The Lenses are red and a green(Port& Starboard) and in Perfect condition The Oil Burner seems to be a working unit with a wick still in place. The bottom of the lamp has a pinch clip insert. An antique dealer informed me that based on the design. Quality, and materials used, it was likely built in the early 1900’s by the prolific National Marine Company based in New York. It measures 6½” tall(with the bale down) x 5” wide x 4½” deep(add 3” for light divider) and weighs 2½ pounds. The lantern is all brass has been polished and clear coated. There are three different areas on the body containing the following information: Oval Brass Tag on Front =“TRIPLEX TRADE MARK” LENSE DEC.20” PDT 1910” OTHER PATS P- Back is stamped above mounting bracket– MF’RD BY” NATIONAL MARINE LAMP CO” NEW YORK” Back embossed on mounting bracket =“PATENTED APRIL 1 ... morest 1913” The unique red and green(turned blue) ribbed door glass lenses appear to be the originals and are in near perfect condition. The oil font assembly is missing. But 110V lighting has been added. Also, it is very rare to have the brass slide-in light divider. Someone has spent a lot of time and effort refurbishing this nautical artifact, which makes it an exceptional piece of U.S. Maritime history. Large Antique Nautical Lantern Vintage 5-way Green Ship Lamp Port& Starboard Used- Antique Nautical Lantern This lantern has some discoloration around glass and on seams. Pictures reflect a bent spot along one of the upper seams. Approximate size is 14.5" tall including carry handle by 9" wide. This lantern has NOT been converted to an electrical light. I have included the lighted pictures so you can see the brilliance of the green glass. Glass does not have any cracks or major scratches in them. The glass does not have any marks in the glass, other than what appears to be consistent with how glass was made during that time. I do not know the exact age of this lantern. However it is the only one I have seen with 5 semi-globe sections. I was going to convert this Kerosene/oil lamp into a lighted lamp and clean it up for my nautical ... morethemed room, but never got around to it. I now am moving and liquidating some of my stuff. I did pay quit a bit for this lamp due to its unusualness and size, however I am willing to take any reasonable offers. This would be a great old kerosene o conversion lantern to put in a parlor, back porch, sitting room or make great lighting for movie night. I prefer the green over your normal red port lights because it is a little softer and not as aggressive in nature depending on your usage or if you decide to use it for a child's night lantern for sleeping. Welcome! Up for auction are a scarce PAIR of Wilcox and Crittenden Port and Starboard Lanterns. They are electrical. However I do not know if they work. They are very nice vintage shape. One flaw is that the starboard(green) lantern is missing it's closing pin and they could use a good cleaning. They stand approximately 8.5" TALL.
