2 Vintage Brass RUSSELL& STOLL NY Explosion Proof Lights- PURPLE GLASS GLOBES: Up for auction is a fantastic set of 2 vintage industrial lights which I rediscovered recently in a basement which had been untouched for over 50 years. Along with these two lights. I found 8 addition vintage explosion proof ceiling lights which I will be listing in the near future so please be sure to check back often. These 2 explosion proof lights were made and are clearly marked RUSSELL& STOLL CO. NEW YORK which is embossed on the top of the brass metal fixtures. Attached to the heavy brass fixtures(which were painted silver/ grey at one point in time) are the stunning purple glass globes. These two lights obviously once hung outside or directly in the sunlight because the maganese in the glass has oxidized over many years with the exposure to the suns ... moreUV radiation. Both thick glass globes have a perfect light tinted purple coloration to them and both of the glass globes are in excellent condition given their age having no cracks or chips in the globes themselves(other than a couple of small flea bites around the base which cannot be seen once screwed into place) and the threading on the glass allows the globes to screw into place easily and tightly without any wiggle room in their brass fixtures. Although the two lights are very similar in size and shape, there are a couple of very small differences between the two including the bulb fixtures(one is marked: BRYANT 660W 250V PAT'D NOV. 26, 1907) and the mounting brackets. I have not tampered with these two lights but I have taken them apart(as shown throughout my photographs) so that you can inspect the overall condition of each light. I have gently cleaned the interior& exterior of each of these lights so the winning bidder will receive very clean items but please keep in mind that I have not tested these lights for their working condition. The bulbs that are currently with the lights are the ones which were found with them(one being an earlier National Mazda bulb)

Vintage Nautical - Industrial Explosion Proof Brass Light Housings
For sale are two brass nautical/industrial Brass explosionproof light housings. I was told these were from the 40s but cannot confirm that. They were made by R. Lovell& Company in Arlington New Jersey. They are made of brass but at some point were painted. So. They have been sandblasted back to their original condition. I scratched a little spot on one of them so you can see the brass underneath the patina. These could be polished if you prefer, but I think the patina is beautiful. This auction is for one very heavy Solid Brass Ship Light With A Glass Dome. It is an explosive proof light but it does not currently have any rubber seals in it. It is 8 1/2" tall. 6 3/4" deep and 4 1/2" wide. It weighs over 5 lbs. It has a receptacle that is designed to accept a twist-lock type bulb. I suppose it could be retrofitted for a different type of bulb. It has a brass cage that unscrews and a glass dome. The only markings on it is 60 W. It has part of a wire protruding from one side. U S Navy Nautical Light Lamp Industrial Explosion Proof Cage Brass Ship Boat
Us Navy Nautical Ship Light Heavy solid brass. No breaks, chips or repairs that I can see. The brass base is marked twice, once with a US and anchor Navy mark and the second being an overlapping USN and the number 129. The cage is marked 4594-L-7 with an R on the top of the cage. the glass is marked G. B. Inc Type H 2034- Inside there's no socket, but the holes to mount one are still in there in good shape, just need to drop one in there and go for it its about 10 1/2" from the bottom of the mounting bracket to the top of the cage. About 5 3/4" from edge to edge on the mounting bracket. The mounting holes are about 1/2" in diameter. I'm no lighting expert. So ask questions, if there's something I've missed that you'd like answered I'll do the best I can Prompt payment gets prompt shipping. No holes have been drilled which would lead me to believe these might be NOS. No chips or cracks in either the brass base, brass cage or glass globe. On the cage is stamped R& S CO/ 2406B and on the base is LOVELL ARLINGTON.N.J. It has the screw on glass dome and an orange colored light bulb.On the end of the cage it has one bar that is seperated as shown and looks a little out of shape like it's been dropped. In it's original condition. The base measures 3.5 in across and the cage measures 4 in. across. Total height is 8.5 in.

Vintage Nautical Industrial Brass Explosion Proof Hanging Lamps w/ wiring - rare
Up for auction is a rare and unique pair of brass hanging lamps. Typically brass lamps and lighting were used in nautical applications but also found in industrial settings so its hard to say what these were originally used for. These feature the explosion proof cages and glass that characterize much of the industrial lighting. The hanging/ceiling mount hardware is elegant and should be ready to wire up(though I am unable to test the units) Overall length is 26" Lamp shade is about 8.5" diameter. I have been unable to find a manufacturer's mark or label so far. Perfect for repurposing in your restaurant. Bar, business, home, office, shop, garage, boat house, marina, etc. The only condition issues I can find are the tiny imperfections on the ceiling mount cover- a small dent in the lip of one and a couple tiny cracks in the lip ... moreof the other.
