1900s Great Britain Cargo Light- Vintage Maritime Nautical Brass Square Antique Lantern. This exquisite brass maritime cargo light is in good condition. The top opens and closes with a latch. The wick rolls up and down freely and appears to be about new. There is no oil or kerosene. This was part of my grandparent's estate. The glass panels are intact. Not broken or cracked; however, there are some blemishes: 1) Glass glove is cracked at base(see photo) 2) Top needs repair(see top view photo) 3) Lamp base is detached from base. Size: Height: 15" Height with Handle: 18" Base Width: 6" x 6" Width at widest point: 9" This is a lovely collection piece that will make a great addition to your nautical or brass collection. This is a nice. Vintage brass lantern that came from the estate of a local retired seaman. I do not know anything about the provenance of the lantern. It is 14 1/2" high, each side is 6 1/2" wide, it weighs 6.15 lbs. The sides are made with glass and brass. It is in good condition. Customer satisfaction is my number one priority. Nautical Lantern Cargo Light Great Britain 1939 No. 3954 Touch Electric
Up for auction we have a Nautical Lantern/Cargo Light. Plaque on the front reads Cargo Light No. 3954 Great Britain 1939. This lantern has been converted from an oil burning lamp to a 3-level brightness touch activated electric lamp. Light is approx 15' tall. 9' wide, 6 1/2' deep, and weights approx 9.4 pounds. I have not cleaned the lamp because it gives it a better look. Lantern is in very good shape, only showing normal age for a piece like this. Offered as is. It is made of heavy solid brass weighing about 6 lbs. The inner lamp is marked as being made by Sherwoods LTD of GB and is in perfect working order. It is accessed through the bottom of the lantern.
