It is very heavy bronze ... moreweighing 40lb and is 12" in diameter and 15 inches tall. it has a heavy clear glass fresnel lens a separate inner red lens which sits about an inch inside the fresnel lens. the red lens has a few cracks, but seems to be stable. the only marking that I can find on this is the number "3" stamped at the lug where the cord exits. this light is wired to accept a standard edison base bulk. The cord is 10 feet long and in decent shape, but is a little stiff from age. As shown in the photos, the cap flips open to access the bulb.

Fantastic Old USCG SOLID BRONZE SHIP CHANNEL MARKER LIGHT Clear Fresnel Lens 24"
Fantastic Offering OLD USCG CHANNEL MARKER LIGHT This looks to be solid bronze. Clear Fresnel lens. I've had this one forever! It's real and it's heavy. May have come from the Charleston. SC harbor.but I will not attest to that provenance. It shows the signs of use as the fresnel lens has some chips and the pin that allows the top to rotate open has been removed for safe operation(just unscrew the knurled ties and carefully lift the top completely off) One of the rods is wrung off too, but is hardly noticeable. This nautical lantern was originally painted white inside and that paint is partially intact. We think that the main body is cast bronze but could actually be brass, some of the components are indeed brass. We believe that the exterior was painted red(for red right returning) and remnants of that remain. Of course, one ... moreschool of thought is that this light should be polished up to a brillant shine.we like to leave things in their beautiful natural form here and have left it untouched in that regard. Forged into the base are the markings: A. U. S. C. G. LOVELL- ARLINGTON. NJ That would be F. H. Lovell& Co. of Arlington. NJ we presume. And those four protrusions on the base bottom are actually threaded bosses so bolting this baby down is no problem. Installing a lamp inside will be no problem either as the posts are intact and the entrance hole in the side is open. This solid bronze antique channel marker was given to a USCG Admiral upon his retirement. The light still functions It was displayed in his office and rewired with a timer where it remained until his death. It was then passed onto a family friend who placed it in storage. It is being offered for sale at this time. It stands 24 inches tall by 13 inches at the widest point. The 4 base mounting holes are spaced 9 to 9 and 1/2 inches square. VINTAGE LANTERN MOHAWK LAMP NEW YORK STATE CANALS CHANNEL MARKER HUGE DRESSEL
Here is a HUGE DRESSEL Lantern marked MOHAWK LAMP NEW YORK STATE CANALS. This lantern is marked on top DRESSEL ARLINGTON NJ. USA. This old Beauty is 17 1/2 inches tall from bottom to top an 22 1/2 tall to the top of the hanging handle. It should be noted this IS AN OLD RELIC AND SOMEONE SHOULD NOT EXPECT PERFECTION. There is some staining the glass FRESNEL IS 8 INCHES ACROSS CLEAR GLASS AND 7 INCHES TALL AND IS MARKED CORNING. There is a crack in the FRESNEL photo 5 and some chips in the glass from years of use. NOTE THE GLASS IS INTACT AND NOT LOOSE. The turn screws are tight but work and the top comes off. The base is 10 inches across and 3 inches high. There is a spot inside where I believe some type of GAS or Oil would have gone? THERE IS NO interior light or guts.Not sure how it would have been original. Pair of Channel Marker Buoy Lights Set 1
The auction consists of a pair of channel marker buoy lights that came from government surplus. Each light is of heavy cast aluminum and has a glass globe that may a few chips but has no cracks. The lights are in serviceable condition but lack the original flashing light system. However. Someone can install a lamp base inside without any problem. The lights are approx. 2' tall by 1' in diameter. I am offering these lights with free shipping within the lower 48 states with additional charges for shipping to AK and HI. Large 39'' Nautical Draw Bridge channel Marker Light with bracket
Very Cool Old Draw Bridge Channel marker Light made by B& B Engineering Corp That Raised and Lowered when Boats went under with original mounting bracket which is never with this light. This light is the coolest nautical light I have ever owned. Very(RARE) to even own because it was made and kept by the government and when they were done using these they scraped them for the aluminum. Almost 30lbs. Very cool for a canal or man cave. This won't last long.

Large Copper Brass Channel Buoy Marker- Navigation Running Light Port-Red Masthead. Good condition for its age. One top latch that holds the cover on needs to be fixed. It broke off and the the cage that protects the clear glass, has come apart at one place on the bottom.Can easily be repaired and used if needed, makes a great display piece and will work when wired and weatherproofed. It's not perfect but its old.Some repair needed. The name plate-maker plate was on the top but its not there anymore.It appears to have Chinese Japanese writing on the red lens and top.the lens has a crack as pictured but has not come apart. The clear glass has no cracks. Measures 9 inches high and 11 in across. About as high and wider then a paint can. Rare. Please see pictures.

Pair(2) Antique Adlake Non Sweating Lanterns Box Style 1 Way Signal Lamps Red Pyrex Glass These unique lanterns were used by river lamplighter to mark the shoals on Big Lake George in the St. John's River(central Florida) I live near Lake George and know of this man. The son of the original lamplighter kept these and was in the process of removing galvanized paint and fitting them with electrical lamps to use as entrance lights to his home. Unfortunately he gave up on the project. You can see by the pictures that the paint has been cleaned off of one of the lamps. Very cool and Large lanterns. Each measures 16" inches tall x 9" inches wide x 9" inches deep. No guts to the lamps are inside. But you could display with candles, or wire for electric. USLHS SOLID BRONZE CHANNEL MARKER LIGHT
Extremely rare opportunity to obtain a light from the U.S. Light House Service. Most lights of this type are from the U.S. Coast Guard. Which are very nice, but not the early rare one that is listed here. The photos show the general condition and are part of the description of this listing. You will notice several minor pieces that are missing. The bird spike that is normally mounted on top is missing. If you are handy. The bird spike can be made out of a brass rod that is ground to a point on one end and threaded on the opposite end. Otherwise, someone can make one for you. The two hinge bolts and hardware are missing as well as the screw down latch. Nautical supply houses sell this type of hardware all the time for boats and other applications that are subject to water. The dioptic lens has numerous chips on the outside where the lens has ... morebeen bumped against another surface. There are no cracks in the lens. The interior lamp is not present. Please note that the diagonal rods that secure the glass lens in place are half one size and the other half a different size. It was like that when I purchased this from a museum. Hi Again you that are looking know more than myself.Embossed"ADLAKE" on top since the glass is important ONLY THE TWO colored[red AND blue] panels are undamaged the large clear piece is held together with the bolts that hold the top on[ it is very solid. I did not remove the bolts so while I took photo's of all visible damage I do not know exact condition] one of the blue panels missing and one red one cracked. please note when the metal light shields are in the correct spot damage looks minimal and I did not plug in no plug. Antique Adlake Chicago Non Sweating Lamp/Lantern-Maritime Channel Marker Light
Antique Adlake Non Sweating Lantern Box Style 1 Way Signal Lamp(still not sure if this item is for Railroad or Boating industry) maybe someone out there can give me some data. Red Pyrex Glass appears to be in excellent shape still. From what I'm learning these unique lanterns were used by river lamplighter to mark the shoals on a Big River or Lake. But I haven't been able to verify this yet. I stumbled upon this at a thrift store today and have spent a bunch of time just trying to figure out what I have here. lol It is VERY heavy and appears to be made out of Black Wrought Iron. It also appears that all the parts are intact. There is a little kerosene container inside and the wick is still in the canister. Very cool and Large lantern. 16" inches tall x 9" inches wide x 9" inches deep.
