It is rather large, and I believe it is made out of copper and brass, based on the way it has tarnished, but I am unsure. The burner itself, and the glass pieces appear to be in good shape, but the exterior needs to be refinished or polished. This would be an excellent project for a restoration, or just a very cool nautically themed piece to have around the house. I will be selling the second of these lanterns in a separate auction with similar details. The only difference between this one and the other is that this one has a piece of curved metal around the glass over the burner on the inside, and the glass cover is shorter. Nautical Ship Anchor Lantern. Large, Converted to Electrified Lamp, Used Up for auction is this vintage solid galvanized metal nautical Ship Anchor Lantern that had a light fixture installed to convert to a lamp(in my opinion. Should be removed) The classic anchor lamp used on sailing ships for hundreds of years. The anchor lamp is machined in pure heavy-gauge steel sheet. The Fresnel style lens is made to magnify the oil lamp light to be visible for 20 nautical miles. The tops to the main body and the vent top are both hinged. Thus the top swings open for access and ease of cleaning. This all metal(except the frilled vent top, which is galvanized copper) is galvanized and shows its age. THIS IS NOT A REPRODUCTION. The anchor lamp is named for its use. A 360o white light is required to be displayed at the highest point( the tallest mast) ... moreon all vessels at anchor or under way at night. Antique Brass Electrified Hanging Ship Lantern Lamps Blue & Red Glass Lenses
This is a set of two hanging ship lantern lamps that once held a reservoir for oil or kerosene but have been electrified for a standard light bulb. Both are entirely made from bright shiny brass and have glass lenses of red and blue. On the top of both lanterns is stamped"Port Classes II& III" The one with the red lens is in excellent condition and the one with the blue lens is in good condition but looks like it has had some welding repair done along the top seam one side. Both have doors that open for easy bulb replacement. The both latch closed well. They are wired together with a 7' cord(can be hung up to 7' apart) and have a 10 1/2 foot cord with a plug coming from one lamp. The cords are not very old and are in very good condition but both have some sticky residue near the bottom of the lamps where they were taped ... moreto hold them in place. Lantern has been electrified and has a cord with a switch on it, but the end has been cut off, so it will need to be rewired with a plug. Offered here for sale at a very old ship lantern for sale. very nice condition with patina of the lake, copper and brass, formerly used with petroleum lantern, now electrified. the glass is slightly yellow, and completely protected with a lattice. the main material is copper, the suspension and the grid is made of brass. I could find no defects, the electrical system is ok. the lantern makes a very nice light, see pictures. This item is a marvelous solid brass/copper studs/glass lens"ANCHOR" electrified ships lantern. It is a heavyweight.Well detailed, and realistic replica of an antique anchor light typical of those used on 19th century wooden sailing ships. It measures 14 inches high by 7 inches in diameter. Lamp appears to have professionally wired, and is equipped with a porcelain bulb socket for illumination as a table/wall light. Piece is in the nice original condition in which it was found in the attic of a local estate showing a nice original patina, and would prove to compliment any nautical/coastal cottage décor. There is a dent, as shown in photo which does not detract from the piece.Please note the Buyer pays all shipping costs, Insurance will be included.

This piece measures 14 1/4" tall x 7" in diameter(not including the four rings on the sides) It is made from brass and copper and has a very heavy clear glass lens. It has been electrified to take a standard light bulb, and has a 9 foot cord with an in-line switch. The bottom has a frosted lens to distribute light underneath. Vintage Nautical Lantern Anchor Light Brass and Copper Oil Lamp Electrified
Here is a vintage nautical oil lamp labeled Anchor It is in good condition with some overall weathering to the copper. The lamp is made of copper with brass hardware and has a mint green glass globe. No cracks in the globe. Lamp has been electrified. Works wonderfully.for shelf or to hang. The lamp is approx. 14" tall with a 7" base. It is a distinctive piece. Large Antique Vintage Ships Lantern Light Brass Electrified Nautical Marine Lamp
Hi. Up for sale is a vintage brass ship light that has been converted to a lamp. It looks great but has some wear and issues. It has some rust around the seams. There are a couple small chips in the glass. The glass globe is upside down. There is a screw missing off the back. There is no lamp shade. The lamp shade holder is loose. The dimensions(without the lamp extension) are about 16" to the top of the handle. It is about 10.5" deep and 10.5" wide.

Antique marine lantern electrified Wilcox & Crittenden Middletown CT, pair
These Wilcox& Crittenden Marine lanterns have been converted to electric. Both lights work. Both have base of original kerosene container and only needs small burner/ wick insert to convert it back to the original state. see photo. Contact me for any questions. Both measure about 12" tall without carrying handle. 5 1/2" wide. All patina untouched. I have not cleaned either. That is for buyer should they want to. 7/8" hole on right side of each; probably for connection to something. Both have slot on back for mounting.
