Vintage nautical Ship sconces lights Maritime Heavy Glass Brass Rare Beautiful
A very rare and beautiful pair of brass ship nautical Wall sconces. They could have been originally oil lights and converted to electric but I have no idea. They are made of heavy brass roughly 8lbs each with heavy steel bases. They are roughly 15 1/2" straightened up. The base or wall mount is 5 1/2" round as the same as the heavy glass bowl beneath the light. They are both are made to move which ever position you desire sideways. Up, down, etc. Just loosen the bolt and retighten. There is one bolt missing and there was another replaced. They are in exceptional condition with no breaks or repairs. As you can see in my picture the wall mount bases there is a slight discoloration which is very hard to see. The glass is very thick and it looks like one is a shade darker than the other and possibly one is greenish and the other is ... morereddish or darker green. They are both the same shape as also the lamps. They are identical. Don't know if because of the light over the years made one a bit darker than the other. Very hard to find these nautical sconces. I tried extensively to do some research but cannot find anything similar. I will leave it up to you. If they fit in your decor that is all that matter. Thankyou for previewing and goodluck.

Rare Vintage E.S. Sorensen Scantime Denmark Maritime Brass Ship Oil Lamp Light
Gorgeous estate found vintage captains table or wall brass oil lamp.I am not an expert but this is a wonderful maritime collectible that I believe is hard to find. Especially in this nice condition. The solid brass base measures about 7.5" tall and 4" wide at the base.it features a handle that also can be mounted to a wall; an oval plaque on one side reading E.S. SORENSEN KOBENHAVN DANMARK.5842. It is incised on the bottom SCANTIME DENMARK. Additionally. It looks to have been in use and in good working order as far as the wick moving up and down. I have a pair of rare vintage brass Perko marine ship's lamps or lanterns. They used to be kerosene or oil but were converted to electric. They are in wonderful shape with no dents or damage and everything is intact. they do however have wear that is consistent with age. Each lantern has a finger lamp inside that is removable as shown in the pictures. A 4 inch reflector/ mirror, and 3 glass panels. Each is also stamped with a brass tag that reads" PERKO Manufacturer's Reg. Trademark Perkin's Marine Lamp& Hardware Corp. Miami Florida USA" on the front and another stamp on the back that reads the same thing. They both measure almost 14" tall. one being about 1/4" taller than the other one. You can definitely tell that these gems were handmade. These are very cool nautical decorations or gifts!

Rare Wm. Porter Brass Maritime Marine Steamboat Binnacle Whale Oil Lamp Lantern
Just out of a local house is this Rare antique William Porter's Son and Co. binnacle lamp. The lamp is all brass and has a half round design. It is fitted with its original whale oil burner. These were made and advertised for use in steamboats of the period. The lamp measures 9 1/2 inches tall and 6 inches wide. The front measures 6 7/8 inches tall and 6 inches wide. It is in excellent condition for its age with only some lines in the brass cap on top and the font looks like it may have leaked. See photos. The lamp is nicely marked with the makers tag of William Porter's Son and Co. 194 Water Street New York. A similar example is pictured in William Porter's and Sons 1891 catalog and lists this one as the large size model. RARE UNMODIFIED ANTIQUE BRASS SHIP ANCHOR LANTERN MARITIME NAUTICAL COPPER RIVET
Up for sale is RARE UNMODIFIED ANTIQUE BRASS SHIP ANCHOR LANTERN. This is such a great find because as just stated it is UNMODIFIED. Meaning it has NOT been converted over to electric. This lamp features a brass body with handmade copper rivets. All the hardware(rivets. Hinges, hasps, etc) appear to be hand made/forged. The ANCHOR brass label is applied on the top section which opens to expose the burner. The hook and chain to secure the hinged top are still intact. There is also a hinged top cap for flame inspection. When you open the top cap you will see that the chimney is triple insulated. It has a Frenzel type lens which appears to be old and original glass. The oil tank and burner assembly fits snug inside the lantern. Upon removal of the burner assembly from the oil tank. The wick is new and the inside of the oil tank has no residue ... moreor oil smell, suggesting it has to have been either cleaned very thoroughly(with several areas inside the tank unreachable) or possibly never used! Even though it seems to be the latter of the two options we still say possibly due to now documentation or provenance on the lantern beyond the current owner. This lack of evidence of use is consistent with inside of the metal chimney where no obvious traces of soot can be found. The base has aspiration vents all around it. The burner's wick knob has the words"SHERWOODS LTD. B'HAM MADE IN ENGLAND" on it. Making this from the very early 1900s at the latest from what we can find on the company. We have no reason to believe that this burner insert is anything but original to the lantern. Meaning we believe the lantern to be from the same time period. If anyone knows any different please share with us. In use this lamp would have been hauled up the ship's mast with halyards. To secure it as such. The lamp is equipped with substantial brass bail handles on the top and bottom. These are attached to heavy cast brass brackets riveted to the body of the lamp. This is a beautiful copper and brass kerosine anchor light with a nice aged patina. It is in is in excellent condition. There are no dents. Cracks or missing parts. All parts are made with heavy gauge copper and brass. The lens is thick heavy glass. You can see some small air bubbles inside the glass) This is truly a quality lamp that will last for many years. Vintage Maritime Brass Wall Light Fixture with Anchor Rare!
I have never seen a light quite like this one! All I can do is give you measurements and I hope I can make them sound understandable to you. The part that goes against the wall is 4 1/2" in diameter. The center of the Anchor from the wall plate to the center point 4 1/4" From the base of the light to the outer tip of the curved point is 2 3/4" The area where the ceramic bulb holder sets is also 4 1/2" diameter. The old ceramic bulb holder can still be used but the wires are frayed. An old rare curved Glass Lantern. I received as a gift, when we lived in Alaska. I collected Lanterns then. It is about 12" Tall Including the handle is: 15" Tall. The base is 6.5" wide It has 6 curved glass pieces that go around the entire sides. I used it for decorative use only BUT it appears that. It could be used as a fully functioning lantern. The item in these photos is the item you will receive. Made in Brooklyn. New York by Perkins(Perko) Marine Lamp and Hardware. A red and blue bow light. Beautiful patina on this light. This could shine if you cleaned it up but I love leaving the maritime antiques with the patina on them. The picture with the light is a flashlight used to light up the glass. The glass is in excellent condition with only a very small chip on a tip of one of the edges. So the light does not come through. The photos show it all. If you have any questions feel free to ask. This listing is for a Rare and Unusual Early Brass Binnacle Lamp or Lantern. This old Nautical Lantern is about 10" tall x 5" wide. It features a curved glass lens. An interior reflector, two handles attached to a latched and hinged access door, all brass construction with soldered joints and wind proof exhaust. The access door has large hand hammered copper rivets. It has really nice old school heavy duty construction and feel. This would make a great addition to any Nautical Collection. Makers William Harvie Co Ltr(late of Glasgow) Ships Lantern& Lighting Engr Bishop St Birmingham. 5 B.14615 This gorgeous and rare anchor light is constructed of HEAVY copper and brass. The clear glass Fresnel lens inside does have a minor crack. Barely noticeable(see pic) Please note, there are a few spots of repair on the housing as well, as show in the pics. It has been electrified and is more than likely meant to be hung, although it could look lovely on a table. It would look absolutely stunning all shined up, but I'll leave that decision to the new owner. It is believed to have been from the early 20th Century, very few of these are out there. It stands 14" tall(without handles) and 10" wide. It's a solid 28 pounds, so if you do plan to hang it, do so accordingly.
