It is approximately 8" in diameter and weighs 19 3/4 pounds. It obviously has been exposed to sea air and has a wonderful patina and wear. Antique 1800s Nautical Post Lantern Lighthouse Lamp Ship Mast Anchor Light Brass
Description: This is a large antique"birdcage" type oil lantern that was made between 1860 and 1890. It has a period Fresnel lens globe that is in good condition with a bit of chipping around the rim. But no cracks or structural damage. These brass lamps were re-produced by Perkins Marine Lamp Corporation but this one is an original 1800s light as shown by the beautifully decorated hanging ring at the top, careful handmade construction, etc. This one is also extra special in that it has the post fittings for use in a light house- it is missing the brass plate which would have marked it as such, but you can see where it used to be attached. These antique nautical lamps were used extensively for anchor lights, and after its life in a lighthouse it may have been used at the top of the mast during heavy fog or in the night to keep other ... moreships from running into the boat. It is missing the burner and bottom plate- it may have been wired for electric after the use of whale oil lamps declined, but please note that only what is in the pictures is included. This is a large nautical lantern measuring 14" tall and 6" wide. It is in"as found" condition with a dark patina on the brass, dirty glass, small dents, tiny cracks in the brass, and various other age/use related marks. Own a piece of US Naval History! General Simon B. Buckner(T-AP-123) 1945-1997. Previously USS Admiral E. W. Eberle(AP-123) and U.S. Army Transport General Simon B. Buckner USS Admiral E. W. Eberle. A 9,676-ton(light displacement) Admiral W. S. Benson-class transport built by the Maritime Commission to its P2-SE2-R1 design. Was commissioned in January 1945 with a largely Coast Guard crew. She departed San Francisco in March with troops and supplies for the Southwest Pacific, then moved to the Philippines where she embarked over 2,000 formerly interned civilians for repatriation to the United States. After arriving at San Pedro, California, in early May Admiral E. W. Eberle ... morewent to the Atlantic. Where in June and early July she made a crossing carrying troops from Naples, Italy to Trinidad and another returning servicemen to the United States from Le Havre, France. In July and August the transport carried troops from Marseilles, France to the Philippines. It comes from the Lake Geneva WI area and my have been on one of the old steam or sailing yachts that cruised there. It operates perfectly with a bright white light. It may have been a stern. Anchor or mast light. It stands approximately 9 3/4 inches tall and is 4 1/2 inches as the base. Unlike many of the others for sale the vent holes at the top are oval not pine tree shaped, I don't know the significance but collectors and restorers will. Vintage ship's mast/anchor light
This is a nice vintage mast light that I salvaged off of an old work boat. It is an old school solid chunk of bronze and heavy glass with brass guide rods to tie the whole thing together. There's not much to it really, but if you're restoring an old boat then this thing is a must have. If you've got a nautical theme in your man cave you probably want this above the bar. Of course if you're in need of a porch light, this will do a bang up job and probably outlast the house you put it on. Vintage 1930's Mast Light, Complete light on base with bulb! marked PMSC
Up for bid today is a vintage glass mast light that dates to the early 1930's. If not earlier. This came off of my vintage, 1931, 38 foot wooden motor cruiser. I believe this was the original light off of the boat. It was not used in the restoration, and now it needs a new home. The light is in"as-found" as-is" condition. The lens is clear glass and is marked"FMSC" on the top. The base is either mahogany or teak with a heavy, old and pee;ing, varnish finish. The light bulb and wires are intact. It appears that the lens has a wrapping of very old black tape around the base. This light has an amazing patina that can only come from years of real maritime use. This is a great opportunity to pick up an original light like this that was actually used on a vintage motor cruiser from the Pacific Northwest! Chris Craft Unicorn mast light
Up for bid is a very rare Chris Craft Unicorn mast light. These were used on large cruisers between 1961 and 1972. Only 1792 were ever made and they are very rare. I have only come across two in ten years of searching. This is the first one I bought. I'm selling it because I found a nicer one. This is complete with the exception of the small light on the very top. In my opinion. The two horns are shot and worthless. But the two angled horn mounts are included and horns are a dime a dozen and can easily be found. My shipping price is based on not including the horns. If you want them, that can be adjusted. The two base pieces and horn mounts would be perfect with new chrome, everything else is aluminum or stainless steel. The poles have tool marks when somebody tried to unscrew them, but I believe they could be almost completely removed ... morewith progressive sanding. The teak yardarms are there, but very weathered. Bronze brass navy ship mast light works
Antique bronze and brass navy mast light. Made by L.L.R. CO. Not sure what it stands for. Not sure what ship this came from from I'd say it's from the 40's or 50's. It has been 100% restored. I pulled the old wires out and wired it for normal household use. The bronze was very dark when I got this item so it has been sandblasted and has 2 clear coats to retain color. The brass rods were cleaned. All the lights on the inside have been replaced. The glass was also cleaned. Amazing piece! Stands 15" tall. I have watched two of these exact lights sell for 450 shipped and 620 shipped in the last year on EBay. PayPal within 48 hrs please. I'll ship ASAP after payment. Vintage PERKO Mast Ball Globe Boat Light Chris Craft Marine Nautical Great Cond.
Fantastic vintage Perko Mast glass threaded globe. 3" diameter fresnel ball globe. Bee hive shape. Clear glass. A few small chips to the bottom threaded cut edge of the glass globe, seen in pictures. No chips to the outer bee hive circular edges. A small amount of shallow surface scratches, that do not show much in the pictures. No damage to the glass is visible when threaded to the metal base. This Perko Mast glass globe light cover is in great vintage condition.
