Vtg Glass & chrome sail ship night light lamp nautical marine boat
Very nice nautical sail ship night light. Fair shape for it's age. No chips or cracks in the glass bottom. Glass bottom has chipped paint and chrome needs polishing. But it looks so cool lite up! The green and red colored plastic on the deck is cracked on each side, but not very noticable. All sails are there but strings need reattched in a few places. Pair Large Solid Brass Marine Nautical Signal Lights Boat Lanterns Lamp
These are a great pair of Marine Nautical Lights. They are solid brass with heavy ribbed glass shades. They have been rewired and are in working condition. One of the lights has its original red insert so it can be used as a signal light. The 1st picture shows the lights with the red insert in one and a green light bulb in the second one if you wanted to use these that way. Or you can take out the red insert and have both lights clear as in the 2nd picture. Or put in any color bulb you choose. The lights are very heavy. The one with the insert is about 15 lbs and the other 13.5 lbs. These lanterns have handles that you can use to hang them or just for carrying. One of the lanterns has a little more copper tone to it then the other one and has 3 little feet to attach to a deck. The tops can be removed or slid to the side with the screws on ... morethe top to replace the lightbulbs. The globes are marked with a makers name. One of the shades has 2 small internal fissures at the bottom of the globe but they don't go all the way through the glass. There are a few dings and small indentations here and there typical of their age. See pictures) Other than that. They are in good condition and could use some cleaning. It's a antique Perko flashlight boat light. Measures 14" tall. Would clamp onto any boat or dingy. The only damage is in pic#5. It has some cracking in thread area. So if you put batteries in it, it pops open because threads won't give a firm fit. No corrosion, and takes batteries. Lights nicely, see pic#10. Looks brass and tin. Vintage National Marine Lamp Co. # 11 Boat Signal Lantern
This Handheld Oil Burning Boat Signal Lantern is in fairly good condition considering its age. Has the scratches that I would expect to see. The wick is new in the burner which leads me to believe it was replaced because the interior does have some burn marks from use. The lens is in great shape and spring loaded action is as stiff as ever. Probably made between 1900- 1950 and the exact date of manufacture is unknown to me. Stands 9" tall and has about a 3 1/2" diameter.

Burner stamped THE NATIONAL MARINE LAMP CO. metal plate on the flat back side has a patent date of APRIL 1ST 1913. 10" tall to the top of the ring on top, 4 3/4" wide, 4 1/2" deep, galvanized metal. The burner is rusted through and is missing one of two metal tabs that held it in place. The metal lantern shows areas of surface rust but is solid and not flimsy in any way, ding on the cupola where the ring is mounted, both pieces of glass in good condition. It would be simple to electrify or even easier to place a battery op light inside and enjoy the colored glass. Offered for your consideration is this nice PAIR of kerosene oil lights. Made by the Marine-Division of the Artistic Brass and Bronze Works New York NY. Each light has a makers tag attached to the front of the base. Both lights look to be pretty complete with oil burner and chimneys still there. Sorry no wall mounting brackets. I am not sure if the wicks are still in them. The knob that raises and lowers the wick is very hard to turn on both lanterns. I think the wick mechanism needs to be cleaned. There is a very minor amount of corrosion on the tops of the bases. Each lantern measures about 18" tall to the top of the handle. Base measures about 7" across. Great Matching Pair of Old. Marine Ship's Lantern Lamps. These look like Brass.and they also look like Bronze.I can't be sure. I DO know that the Handles are Bronze. I am estimating that these probably date back to Late World War I or Early World War II and may well have been used on military vessels and/or Merchant marine vessels. They are Electric and have Rotating Shutters both on the body and in the bottoms of the lamps. In this way, the light could be closed off both from the sides and the bottoms as need be.kind of an early manual rheostat. These both Measure 8" Tall to the top of the Threaded, Screw-in Lid. The lid, itself measures 3 3/4" Diameter and has a 1 1/2" tall Wire Pass-through apparatus. To the top of the extended handle measures 12" The Base of the lantern measures 5 1/2" Diameter. This is an interesting old lantern. Made from tin and with a glass lens. It reads BOAT SIGNAL LANTERN on the front. When you open the lens, there is a spring loaded lever that slides back to reach the burner. Mirrored on the back side of this. I see no maker marks. The lantern measures 8 3/4" in height and is 3 1/2" in diameter across the bottom. Original black paint shows quite a bit of wear, but the lantern is intact. Neat old lantern. This listing is for a vintage Perkins PERKO Marine boat Kerosene Lamp. Finding one in better condition than this one will be a challenge. The lamp is made of Galvanized metal and has a Brass Top/Finial and the Kerosene lights hardware is made of Brass. The Dark Green and red lens are made of Glass and are chip and damage free. The design of this lamp is different than most others. The inside hardware is accessible from the bottom of the lamp only. It has ingenious spring loaded tabs of each side. If you want to pull out the hardware you simply squeeze the tabs and pull the hardware out. As you can see from the photo's the Brass hardware is in excellent condition and includes what is probably the original wick.I think this lamp has spent most of it's life indoors. The outside Galvanized Metal is also in excellent condition. Nothing ... moreis loose. All corners etc very tight construction. The top finial piece with hanging loop is made of Brass. Here's a neat vintage item with red glass on one side and green on the other.several small chips. I believe it is brass. see photos for a better condition insight. It is dented on back of lamp and missing one screw. it appears to be adjustable. I have not truly cleaned this item. The base is almost 4 1/2" in diameter and is stamped. S&J. This is STEELE& JOHNSON(boat,house) I'm not sure what year it was made(30's,40's? although it is from an old estate. the height is about 7" at that angle. I don't know if it could be wired?
