They are ... moredesigned to fit into the bottom of a nautical lantern and lock into place by the small posts on each side when you twist them using the bar handle on the bottom of the lamp.We will let the pictures tell most of the story but please note that they are both stamped"PERKO" on the base of each lamp and the burners are manufactured by P&A Mfg. Also worth noting is the fact that the fuel reservoir on one lamp is taller than on the other. Consequently the shorter lamp is 4.5 inches to the top of the burner while the other one stands 5 inches tall. The lamp base measures 4 5/8 inches side to side and the fuel reservoirs measure 3.5 inches in diameter which would likely be the size of the hole in the bottom of the lantern into which it is meant to fit. As well there is a difference in the lamp chimneys. While they are hand blown, one is 2 5/8 inches at the widest point while the other is 3 inches wide and both are 6 inches tall. They are original glass in these fixtures since there still are remnants of the word"Perko" stencilled on the top of each chimney. VINTAGE MARINE LAMP BY PERKINS MARINE HARDWARE (PERKO)
Wonderful old marine lantern from an estate along the Ohio River. No dents or scratches and an excellent fresnel lens. The lamp seems to be original. It stands 9" tall and 7" in diameter. The body is copper and has a small brass makers tag on the bottom edge. Lamp weighs about 5# This is called a dock light and is missing a battery box which attaches to the bottom. I have lowered my asking price to reflect this. Would still make a great light or display piece.

This is a vintage boat lamp from a local estate. It is a Perkins Marine Lamp and Hardware Corp. Perko) RED boat light. Lens is in great condition. Lamp can be repainted to look as new if the buyer so desires. It's a beauty. Please check my other listing for another vintage PERKO boat lamp. This is an antique globe lantern with globe red glass. Measures 15.75" tall x 9 1/2" across. The beautiful red glass that appears to be hand blown reads"Perkins 10" Frederick Perkins founded the Perkins Marine Lamp Company in the late 1800's in Brooklyn. His lamps were hand formed and soldered from brass. Copper and galvanized steel. About 1922, the trademark name PERKO was introduced and their products were marked with PERKO instead of PERKINS. Up for sale is this vintage Perko. Perkins marine lantern. It is in the same condition as when I bought it, dirty, and that is the way it will be received. It looks as though it was dropped on the side and sort of pushed in the side of the bottom. Not sure about the fixture inside, don't know if that is original. LARGE Antique Perkins Perko Marine Ships Lantern / Lamp - Prism Glass - Brass
Offered for your bidding consideration is a very rustic looking Perkins Marine Lamp. Handsome verdigris abound! This lamp is located in Stockton. California which is, in tonage, the 4th busiest port on the West Coast. In the early days of California Stockton was the hub. Many regarded Stockton as the in-land San Francisco. It was a rough place and full of vice. Many different forms of boats and ships from sailing vessels to large paddlewheelers made their way to Stockton bringing people and goods. During WWII there were no less than two shipyards making destroyers, balloon barges and tugs for the U.S. Navy. Stockton was also home to the Stephen's Bros. Boat Builders from 1902 to 1987. PERCO Perkins Marine Lamp & Hardware Co Electrified Early to Mid 1900's Design!
This is a really interesting Nautical piece the company has been making them since the 1930's. They made this particular one in the 1960's. It's a large piece and is approximately( 12 pounds) it's 15 3/4" H by 9 3/4" D Marine Lamp that has been electrified. I tried to show it in the last photo, but, it was outdoors so it doesn't show up or glow the same way that it does indoors, but, it works. It has an opaque ribbed glass lens on the front with 10 ribbed sections and a center band thats convex shaped that is 2" W. The Perkins fixed metal label is on the front and it says PEKO#1 Marine Lamp Hardware Corporation. This piece has been repainted silver back in the day. The top looks like cast brass or bronze, I am no expert, so, I am stating what I see. The plug is a 3 prong. My research shows these were mounted ... moreoutside the Pilot House on Vessels back in the day, the electrified feature gives it more versatility for use in a home or nautical setting. This is a very old piece, shows wear& tear, the ribbed glass has some damage that looks like a pebbled effect on the right side, what caused this, I have no idea. Unlike many of these lanterns this one still has the original Perko lamp inside as shown in pictures. The sliding hatch mechanism still works on this piece. It was used as a display piece in the house and they had a screw in the base of the signal to hold the sliding hatch open. It's a antique Perko flashlight boat light. Measures 14" tall. Would clamp onto any boat or dingy. The only damage is in pic#5. It has some cracking in thread area. So if you put batteries in it, it pops open because threads won't give a firm fit. No corrosion, and takes batteries. Lights nicely, see pic#10. Looks brass and tin. Antique Collectible Perkins Marine Maritime Nautical Lamp Lantern NO RESERVE
Perkins Marine Lantern/Lamp Mfrd by: Perkins Marine Lamp Corporation. Brooklyn, NY This is a highly collectible antique marine lantern/lamp. This was inherited from a grandparent and has been in my storage for at least a decade alone. I do not know the exact age but can only guess it is at least 50 years plus. This lantern has a chain attached to hang from a ceiling or other and takes a standard lightbulb. I do not know if this was the original configuration or it was modified like this. It has not been damaged by other modifications like similar lamps offered on eBay that are attached to bases or made into lamps. I have never polished this item so I assume it is brass and not copper. The dimensions are approximately 18 in. from the top of the handle to the bottom of base. It is 14 and 3/4 in. tall without the handle. The width is approximately ... more7 and 1/2" The condition is excellent except two minor spots. First. All of the rods that protect the glass are all present in place and not bent or otherwise damaged. However, the top of one of the rods(see photo) is loose. This will need to be re-brazed in place which I am told is a easy and cheap fix. The second spot is a small dent on the base of the lantern(see photo) This could be hammered out easily or left alone to show the lamps character. The glass is clear and intact but has a minor nick or two in a couple of the ridges which are not noticeable without searching for, but there are NO Cracks or other damage to the glob. Similar lamps on eBay have starting prices of almost $200 and go past $500 and do NOT include shipping. And they are missing parts and in far worse condition. Just the replacement glass alone goes for at a minimum of $50 to $100. I hope you get a great bargain on this beautiful antique. There is NO reserve and shipping is FREE! Good Luck!

Nice RARE Antique COPPER lamp searchlight from the turn of the century. Beautiful original condition but untested and will likely need restoration in order to function at 100% The glass measures approx. 6" in diameter and the COPPER housing is nearly 6 1/2" deep. The unit is approximately 17" tall from top to bottom. THIS BEAUTIFUL PIECE WEIGHS NEARLY 7 POUNDS! Now that's a lot of copper! Because of it's QUALITY EARLY AMERICAN BUILD The mechanical functions work very well. Push the handle up and down and the lamp housing aims upwards and downwards. Perkins Chrome Marine Lamp
This listing is for the body on without aftermarket lamp kit parts. It was made into a electric lamp at one time. It is marked on the lower front. The chrome has a nice patina which I wiped down with damp rag. There is a small chip on one of the glass ribs at the seam area. The rest of the glass is nice. This measures 12 1/2 inches high and weighs 6 pounds. I have not seen too many chrome ones around and most I can find are just brass or in poor unpainted condition.

Great Pair Large WW2 Perkins Perko Marine& Hardware Lamp Co. Port& Starboard This is a great pair of large Perko WW2 Ships Port& Starboard lamps as shown. These came from an estate here in Slocum. RI, and they were mounted on a U.S. ship that a member of the family was employed on during the war. I cannot verify this, just going by what I was told. Anyway, they have been electrified some time ago, and they are wired together so they both light together. They are quite large, measuring 22" tall, x 10" x 10" x 15" from point to point of the front rounded part. There is a small chip on the bottom edge of the red lense, although the picture makes it look a lot bigger. No cracks or hairlines on either lense. Both lenses are quite heavy duty glass, and look great lit up. Shipping weight will be about 30-lbs.

Hi folks. I'm back after an absence to auction more incredible, authentic items from parents' collections. These are items they've kept in storage- they were collectors of anything and everything old, unusual or beautiful starting their collections back in the 1950s. The past year has had me busy researching, inventorying and cataloging their items. Now I have the dubious task of selling some. For starters, I am not an expert in anything. I have some knowledge of some things, but sometimes I'm not exactly sure of what I have so feel free to contact me to either correct me or educate me. I believe in the"auction" process, so the starting bids on all my items are fairly low to encourage bidding. Here we have an absolutely magnificent antique ship's lantern. Or to be more specific, a Perkins Marine Lamp& Hardware ... moreCo. distress or signal lantern circa about 1915-1925. It is made of galvanized steel and brass- all galvanized steel except for a brass top and brass burner which were polished quite some time ago. The lantern shows old solder repairs. Has a little bit of surface rust here and there, but is otherwise really clean. The fitted burner seems to be very good condition. Is a Plume and Atwood and on the thumb wheel it reads"P&A Mfg Co, Waterbury. Conn. Made in U.S.A. Plume& Atwood made the burners for Perko and many other makers. This lantern has NOT been electrified. The clear globe is marked PERKINS 8 and while it has a little dust. It shows NO damage and is protected by 8 wire guards that are firmly in place(some have some surface rust) The base has two tie-down clips. Although he never used it. This had been hanging in my father's workshop many years ago and I just presumed it had been sold or lost until June when I discovered it had been packed away. The lantern measures about 14.5" tall without the loop standing up(about 16" tall with the loop up) Is about 9.5" wide looking down on it and measuring it wire guard to wire guard. The base measure

This is a great Perkins"PERKO" Marine lantern or bow light. The lantern is about 18" tall counting the handle. The lens is heavy red glass and can be seen from all sides(360 degrees) The lantern works off of oil or kerosene. The reservoir and wick are in tack and working. The Perkins metal tag is still in place(too dark to get into photo) There are some small nicks and I can see what looks like brass under the black paint. I believe the paint is original to the lantern. The lantern is heavy. Over 7 pounds. Lanterns like this were used on large ships as a warning light or bow light. Its base features a ship's wheel which is Possibly of the same metal as the rest of the base. The wheel spins freely in both directions and is not at all loose. The finial is an eagle with wings spread. This lamp is in working condition. The wiring is in working condition. The height up to the socket is about 13" the bottom base diameter is 6" and overall wheel diameter is 8" There is a heavy fitting in the base which appears to be metal. It won't break my heart if I don't sell this item. I'll keep it and rig it up to become the coolest porch light in the neighborhood. A balloon cage ship's deck lamp made by the Perkins Marine Lamp and Hardware Corporation of Brooklyn. New York. This company is still going strong- a 5th generation family business now based in Florida and under the name of Perko Inc. Perko is also the product name of this item. This lamp is about 22 inches tall. And the diameter of the cage is about 14 inches. The red glass ball is slightly larger than a volleyball and slightly less than a basketball. The fuel canister is in working order- the wick rises and falls with the turn of the handle. the vessel doesn't look to have any leaks. Check the condition report and the photos for the problems this lamp has. Brass parts as well as the majority ... moreof the metal being perhaps a galvanized aluminum or thin steel. Two sets of two loops on either side of the lamp- I would assume the loops are there so the lamp can be mounted to something. This nifty vintage lantern could easily be converted to an electrical lamp if a buyer would choose to do so; or. Leave it original using some lamp oil to fill the canister and fuel the light. The lantern will be shipped in a large box, perhaps even oversized by UPS standards so don't let the shipping cost surprise you.

This listing is for a vintage Perkins PERKO Marine boat Kerosene Lamp. Finding one in better condition than this one will be a challenge. The lamp is made of Galvanized metal and has a Brass Top/Finial and the Kerosene lights hardware is made of Brass. The Dark Green and red lens are made of Glass and are chip and damage free. The design of this lamp is different than most others. The inside hardware is accessible from the bottom of the lamp only. It has ingenious spring loaded tabs of each side. If you want to pull out the hardware you simply squeeze the tabs and pull the hardware out. As you can see from the photo's the Brass hardware is in excellent condition and includes what is probably the original wick.I think this lamp has spent most of it's life indoors. The outside Galvanized Metal is also in excellent condition. Nothing ... moreis loose. All corners etc very tight construction. The top finial piece with hanging loop is made of Brass. I did not clean this. Left the original patina. I did however clean the Brass Perkins/ Perko identification tag because I could not read what it says. The tall black lamp is oil burning and it comes with the complete oil burning mechanism including the reservoir, wick and wick adjustment knob. It has an adjustable shield that regulates ... morethe amount of flame light emitted through the clear glass lens. It appears to be black painted brass and is original. It is in very nice condition and seems to have been very little used. This, and the other lamp both originally were used by my grandfather in the 1930's and 1940's and I have had them for about 50 years. The shorter boat lamp has a green lens and red lens of glass and is electrical. It comes complete with socket but no bulb. Please look at all pictures and ask any questions before bidding.
