The lamp is being offered as found for parts or refurbish or keep as is. The lamp stands 8.7/8" tall as is. The soot catcher or chimney cap is missing. The copper housing shows a lot of aged patina. ANTIQUE ~Gorgeous Weighted/Hinged BRASS & COPPER SHIP'S CHAMBERSTICK/CANDLESTICK
What a wonderful weighted and hinged brass and copper candlestick or chamberstick from the late 1800s-early 1900s! Heavy. Solid brass and copper consruction, it features a decorative handle, a copper drip pan, and an ingenius weighted and hinged shaft, which allowed the candlestick to remain upright, no matter how much the ship rolled. The base is held in place with a modern brass bolt and metal nut.the original is long gone. Beautiful, heavy, clever. Well made, and has a patina to die for. This particular candlestick came from the estate of the granddaughter of William Randolph Hearst, who owned a house in Tulsa(one of many around the world) Unsure of maker. Has the normal wear that one would expect from a piece of this age. And some minor staining. Navel Type No. 66 ROSE MANUFACTURING– circa 1905 This is an antique copper/brass searchlight manufactured in the early 20 th century. Around 1905, by the Rose Manufacturing Company, 911 Arch St, in Philadelphia PA. It was attached to“The Neverout Safety Gas Producer” and was lit by Acetylene gas. It has a hinged circular door with colorless glass lens and a B& L silvered reflector. It is labeled with a brass plate inscribed with the Neverout trademark and the following words: SEARCHLIGHT PROJECTOR. NAVAL TYPE NO. 86, ROSE MFG. CO. PHILIDELPHIA, U.S.A. Antique Brass and Copper "Not Under Command" Lantern
This is a beautiful lantern from the HMS Leith. Which had a long history of service, including D-Day, and can be read about in this link) The lantern bears the brass name plate of the ship and the lantern maker- M.P. Galloway Limited Manufacturers. It also has a brass plate with the Galloway crest and the number 236. Which I assume identifies the type of lantern or some type of lot number. A third identifies it as a lantern used for"SHIP NOT UNDER COMMAND. The lantern is 21"tall(26" with the handle) and 13.25" wide with the side rings. As you can see from the pictures. The lantern still works, and I included angles that show the broken glass, plus the other side where the broken glass is not noticeable. If you were to use this for lighting, you would probably set aside the red insert to enjoy the warm glow through the ... moreclear, thick outer glass. Antique MARITIME NAUTICAL SHIP LANTERN Red Glass Copper & Brass
Up for bids is a great marine piece- an antique ship lantern. This nautical lantern is made of brass and copper metals and a beautiful piece of red onion glass. It has a sloped top which keeps water and rain from the inside of it. The red onion glass is encompassed by protective brass pieces which prevent it from being damaged when it swings. This lantern also has both the top pivoting brass hanger. AND the bottom one. I see very few of these lanterns that were made with these, and if so they no longer have the bottom one. At some point someone has removed the kerosene drum/holder and started the process of making this electrical. I have not attempted to complete this. It is fitted with a very simple bulb holder and a turning switch which still turns and clicks. This has in no means detracted from the beauty of this lantern and will make ... moreit simpler to electrify if someone chooses to do so. This lantern is in fantastic vintage condition. It has wear associated and common with its age but overall really nice! If someone chooses to polish this it will shine like new. The glass is in very good condition. It has some wear marks. Rough spots, or minor chipping on the rims/edges but no breaks. The wear is only from where it is fitted into the copper ends. These marks are not seen or noticable when the lantern is put together. The glass itself has some air bubbles but only visible upon close examination. The sloped top has several small dents in it. The two copper caps look very good and I do not see any dents or tears in them. The brass hangers and glass protectors have only age patina to them but otherwise perfect. The measurements of this lantern is 25 1/2" when hanging from the top of the hanging attachment to the tip of the bottom attachment. The glass is approx. 6 1/2" high by 8 1/2" around. I've taken this apart to show the insides of the pieces and the area where the electrical work was started. Also. When I ship it will come separated like this. For sale is a GE Novalux projector/floodlight/spotlight for around 1929. The bell is made of copper and the arms are solid cast brass. These lights were sometimes used as a searchlight on ships or to light up the piers at night when the ships came in to be unloaded. They are becoming increasingly hard to find and are a very visually stunning piece once cleaned up. These lights are complete minus a small amount of wiring work. the light sockets are there but as in the one picture the cords were cut when they were removed so just add a plug and they should work. All the others I've seen the inner mirror is smooth where as these have a faceted mirror.There is some wear on the mirrors but they are solid as well. We don't know how old these are but expect them to be well over 100 years. Solid copper and thick Fresnel glass they are marked W Neil- Port Glasgow. Matching pair each weighs around 19 pounds. Are 20" tall not counting the hangers, and 10" in diameter. These old oil maritime lanterns had been retrofit previously for 110V and probably hung as outdoor sconces. There was lots of outdoor type debris inside the lanterns that I just left and the 110V retrofit lighting has not been tested. It was either made to house a light bulb. Or converted an extremely long time ago. Now passed, were prominent figures in the folk-art world, and her family has traveled extensively, so she has many years and two households of fine objets d’art to go through. It was in the cellar of a home that flooded during Hurricane Irene here in Vermont, and is full of silt. I rinsed off the outside just enough to show what it is, but am not qualified to clean it thoroughly. The door slides down within guides. And you can see the loop and tab that secure it. It has a large reservoir, glass chimney, and the domed top opens smoothly. The label is soldered on, and has worn enough that I cannot quite make out the image– two horses, a standing figure with reins, maybe flanked by two seated figures, on a carriage indicated by a curving line– no wheels. When this is shined up it will be spectacular. The“buy it now” is low because it needs cleaning. But this is a showpiece.

Huge 22" copper Masthead Maritime Ship Lantern Oil burner nautical antique This is a big piece. Measuring 22" tall(not including handle) width of about 11" The piece is painted but as far as I can tell the most or possibly the entirety of the piece is made of copper. The lantern is a forward facing type with mounting rings on each side, an access door on the back an a top hatch that looks down into from the chimney above. Inside the back hatch, the burner assembly is on a track and is removable. It appears to be an oil/kerosene burner with a large reflector. The glass globe appears to be intact. There are three attached metal labels or tags on the front. I will try to decipher them for you, due to age and paint there are partially legible. Antique Copper Wrought Iron Nautical Garden Dolphin Lamp Brackets Arts + Crafts
Fabulous pair of pretty large cast iron brackets designed as lantern brackets. They could also be used to support a window box. They feature the detailed profile of a seahorse. The bases(the verticals that attach to a wall) are a narrow shield-like shape with a hint of fleur de lys on the bottom. Very fanciful. I think this piece is copper. As a magnet does not adhere and there is a little bit of shine coming through the painted finish. The seahorses are cast iron. The top hanging bar could be hand wrought iron. A magnet adheres to both of these pieces. The hanging bar is quite linear with an end that holds a lantern. I think it's hollow, permitting electrical wire to be threaded through. The shape of the top piece and the copper base suggest to me the arts and crafts movement. The wiring is very old, so I wouldn't be surprised if ... morethese are from the 20's or30's. But I am just guessing. When we acquired these we were told that they were from the first New York World's Fair. I have done some research and have not found any images that confirm this. They were from an estate in Queens NY of two men. One of whom was a set designer for the earliest Today Shows and Capt. Kangaroo. The partner was a model ship builder. They had a fantastic eclectic collection of decorative collectibles. If indeed these were from the World's Fair, I wouldn't be surprised if these men made sure they got some"trinkets" when buildings were taken down. Nice and sturdy. The seahorses and the top piece have superficial rust. They dirty the hands when handled. The silvery finish which could be original is uneven. They definitely need refinishing. If the buyer wants to use these as part of a lantern. They need to be wired. Please see another pair of these that I am selling on ebay that has remnants of the electrical pieces. The Lantern is 15 + inches tall/ 18 inches if you include the handle and 8 inches wide. Made of Brass. The latching piece on the top of the Lantern looks to be copper. There is some light chipping on the Lens Globe but nothing serious, No cracks or breaks. Could use a good cleaning or leave the patina. Very impressive. For sale we have a Antique Copper Ship Lanterns Port& Starboard Lamps Lot of 2 vintage. These came out of an old barn. They are about 9 inches tall. I am not sure of the age. I just dusted them off they would probably clean up nice. There are no cracks or chips in the glass. One of them is missing the handle. and one is missing a burner. Antique 1920's Arts & Crafts Copper Amber Glass Light
This beautiful 1920's Arts& Crafts Copper light may have used on a ship or yacht. The shade is amber glass and in excellent condition. Measures 10" tall by 5" wide. The plug is marked Leviton. Leviton was founded by Isidor Leviton in 1906. After immigrating from Russia to the United States. Isidor Leviton opened up a small tinsmithing business producing mantle tips used for gas lighting. This light is electric and works perfectly. It was purchased at auction in Brooklyn, NY.

You are invited to place a bid on this wonderful unique Very Rare Copper Lantern Antique.Very old, metal, brass, copper, globe shade, candel lit Bridge or Tavern lantern, lamp, possibly nautical and looks to have all original parts. At one time in its past someone tried to electrify the lantern. I left the wiring(Deterated) on the lantern for the purchaser to determine what needs to be done. The wiring looks early 1900 and is unsafe for use as a electric lamp. I estimate the lantern. Utilizing a candel for it's light source, is very much older and is probally Cira:1800 The unusual wind break material on the inside perimeter is deterating due to age but has nothing to do with the stability of the lantern. It is an astatics issue. This item shows overall wear including scratches. Tarnishing, bends and dents found in the metal, the bottom ... moreappears to have been repaired, we believe this item to be in functional condition using a candel. Antique Copper Oil Lantern Lamp Cut Glass
This is a copper lantern that measures 18" tall and 6 1/2" wide across. It has 6 glass sides with cut stars and vines? There is a glass oil lamp base, no wick or top that is fitted into the base of the lamp. the door opens at 2 two panes on a copper constructed hinge and latches closed. all solder joints in decent shape for its age, just one cracked pane of glass. There are no makers marks that I can find. thanks for looking and good luck bidding.

There is a black wire protruding from Port lamp and what appears to be wiring cut at base on Starboard lamp We do not know anything about the items except what we can see and feel- please see photos for condition etc. On the front glass of each there appears: CB(or maybe CD) LTD ENGLAND" The words Stybord and Bagbord appear on the lamps.
