English 19th century all brass ships lantern. Best we have ever seen. Constructed with superb quality. Heavy weighing over 5 lbs. All original and intact. Great patina. Glass is intact and without cracks or chips. Marked on one side with 4. The other side with 5 and an impressed crown with the letter M under it. Lantern is 11 1/2 inches tall. 7 1/2 inches wide. Although I could not find any markings. Use your own judgment. And look at the pictures carefully. They probably date back to the 1890s. The brass has been painted over with black paint. They both have been wired for electricity and don’t have their burners. Although their reflectors are present. They measure approximately 17” high to the top of the handle. And 7-1/4” wide. One lantern still has its mounting bracket. And the globe has a crack on the side(approx. 3” long) Also that cap on top is missing a small piece where it would attach to the lantern. This Is A Very Large Antique Lantern With A Kerosene Lamp. This Piece Is Very Large And Measures 23 Inches Tall. 9 Inches Wide, And 8 Inches Deep. I Would Date This Piece To The Later Part Of The 19th Century. Might Even Be From The Civil War Era. It Has A Chain On The Back That Was Used To Hang It On A Wall Of A Home Or Stand. 19th Century Riverboat / Steamship Brass Cabin Lantern or Lamp
Offered is an original. 1800's era steamboat cabin lamp. I got this years ago from a ship salvage worker who told me he took it off of a 19th century Sacramento River paddle wheeler in the delta area. It looks to have the original rippled glass globe and the brass has nice patina. Looks like someone tried to electrify it at some point in it's life. It has a very neat look to it, and would be great displayed along other ocean liner, sailing ship, or whaling/ maritime artifacts. Measures approx: 10.5" tall x 8" wide at the wire globe guard. 19TH CENTURY BRASS PRESENTATION LANTERN O.S. SHALER T his is a rare and hard to find lantern. It is totally constructed of brass and has an arm carrying ring. It is copper wheel cut decoration of vine and leaf centered with the name“O.S. Shaler” The burner is a brass kerosene burner and probably a later replacement during the period of use. It measures 17 inches high overall including the ring and 7 inches cage diameter. FOUND AT A HOUSE SALE IN MIDCOAST MAINE.

BRASS BULLSEYE LANTERN, EARLY, 19TH CENTURY
This brass lantern has nicely punched and pierced decoration. It is 10 inches high. 4 ½ inches in diameter at the base with a 5 inch diameter bullseye lense. Fixed with a candle socket inside. Excellent condition.

19th Century Barn Lantern (made by Taylor Adams Pritchard) San Francisco
For sale is a 19th century barn lantern made by Taylor Adams Pritchard of San Francisco. The Makers stamp shows an address of 12-14 Market Street. San Francisco. Research shows that Wesley Osborne shot and killed Hiram Adams and wounded William Pritchard. The company then became Taylor Pritchard. This lantern was originally a kerosene lantern but has been converted to electric. It has the original glass lantern that has turned purple. The original Mercury Reflector is in good condition and measures 7" I believe this is made of tin. But because of green and blue patina, it may be copper. The metal is in fairly good condition with just a few small dents in the top curved part. It has a bracket on the back for mounting on the wall. The glass panels look like they have been replaced. The lantern is 16" tall, 9-1/2" wide and about ... more7-1/2" deep. Ask any questions before buying. Insurance is included in shipping cost. This is a great piece of San Francisco history.
