Pair Vintage Copper Brass NEPTUNE NR Ship Lantern Lamp Nautical Maritime Cage NR
This auction is for a pair of vintage NEPTUNE NR copper and brass ship oil lamp lanterns. These lamps are in EXCELLENT estate found condition with a stunning and even patina. They are beautifully crafted from copper and brass and secured with a chain and hook in the front. These lanterns both have a badge at the top with the Neptune hallmark and NR. All of the glass is in beautiful condition(with the exception of some dust from being displayed) The globe inside is also in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The oil lamp inside is secured to a metal wire that stays in place by sliding down two opposing corners inside. And sits very securely inside with no wobble. I do not know the age of the lanterns, and have seen only a few similar, but most of then have all brass cages(die to the reddish tint I do believe this is mostly copper) ... moreor have been polished. None have been found also with this exact badge in the same place and this stunning copper patina with the reddish copper undertones that almost glow through. This has not been cleaned or polished, but I'm sure would polish up nicely if the buyer wishes to do so. Each lantern stands 15"high without handle, and 17 1/2" tall with handle, by approx 7"wide. Vintage nautical Ship sconces lights Maritime Heavy Glass Brass Rare Beautiful
A very rare and beautiful pair of brass ship nautical Wall sconces. They could have been originally oil lights and converted to electric but I have no idea. They are made of heavy brass roughly 8lbs each with heavy steel bases. They are roughly 15 1/2" straightened up. The base or wall mount is 5 1/2" round as the same as the heavy glass bowl beneath the light. They are both are made to move which ever position you desire sideways. Up, down, etc. Just loosen the bolt and retighten. There is one bolt missing and there was another replaced. They are in exceptional condition with no breaks or repairs. As you can see in my picture the wall mount bases there is a slight discoloration which is very hard to see. The glass is very thick and it looks like one is a shade darker than the other and possibly one is greenish and the other is ... morereddish or darker green. They are both the same shape as also the lamps. They are identical. Don't know if because of the light over the years made one a bit darker than the other. Very hard to find these nautical sconces. I tried extensively to do some research but cannot find anything similar. I will leave it up to you. If they fit in your decor that is all that matter. Thankyou for previewing and goodluck.

Their are metal name tags on each one indicating their use. Serial number and etc. which verfies its authencity. They both have light sockets mounted ... morein the upper and lower chambers of the lanterns which make these beautiful lanterns usable. See the pictures for an example of this. The other lantern has an upper and lower chamber with clear lenses with light sockets installed in both chambers as well and this one according to its name plate is the Stern light. You can use these inside as lamps or outside as lamps since they are airtight. They are over just 18 inches tall and almost 10 inches wide. Everything on these two unique and extremely rare lanterns are operatable. Every screw and bolt does what it should. The white stuff you see in the pictures is, I'm guessing is someone at one time, tried to use brass cleaner and did a bad job. I would personally leave them the way they are, but if you want to clean them up, they should shine like the sun. In order to use them. All you will have to do is add light bulbs and a power cord to the fixtures. It's easy, I gave you a demonstration in the pictures. The outer housing is copper& the interior is lined in brass. With a brass lamp. The top is hinged& clasped with a chained hook. The lamp lifts out on two brass arms that extend to the top of the lamp. The interior lamp is complete& functioning. All glass is fine& the lamp displays very nicely. This is a brass spot light off of a Columbia River Gillnet boat that is very unique as it is a vintage 12 volt light that is very rare. The lens says'Per Lux 200T' it belonged to a friend of mine who could not tell me the vintage only that it was"OLD" He has used it for many years long ago on his commercial fishing vessel. This is a Vintage Nautical Ship Maritime Red Lens Electric Boat Lamp It does work. The red paint is chipping. The Brass housing for the lamp is not damaged. It is about 9 inches tall and is 5.25 inches across at the bottom. There is no damage to the cord. The bolt top(nut) to a post is missing. It looks like a post has been replaced. For sale is a vintage/antique brass and copper maritime ship's lantern made by Anchor in England. It's in great shape. Obviously used and showing normal wear and tear with lots of patina. The lantern has been retrofitted with an electrical ceramic light socket although it does not come with a cord. Beautiful globe- would be a wonderful light fixture for any collector or nautical buff. This is a vintage Chelsea Maritime brass lantern. It has a brass slide out oil tank and has never been burned, There seems to be a piece of the burner missing but pretty sure that can be replace. It is 4 side glass walls with brass bars covering the glass. It stands 15" tall and each side is 7" wide. All the glass is in prefect condition. It has a wood handle and it too is in excellent condition. There is a place on back for hanging. A brass label on front saying Chelsea LTD Maritime. I think this lantern would be considered in excellent condition. My husband did replace a couple screws. This was an estate find. Either way this nautical light will display well. New/Used: Used. Approximate Dimensions in Inches- Length: 10” Diameter: 5 ½” Condition: Very good. The previous owner converted it to an indoor display light. The only two things we did were clean/inspect the glass lens and replacing the light cord. Which was defective. There is some corrosion and oxidation on the original three light sockets. The lens is intact with the exception of a crack near the new light bulb that was added. This crack is not that noticeable and can only ... morebe seen when the light is on. It does not appear to go all the way through the glass because you can’t feel it with your fingernail on either the inside or outside. Please see the last picture depicting this flaw. But you can't hardly tell with the colors of the lantern. This lantern is unmarked. It is very solid and well made. The lantern measures approximately 21"x11" With the handle up it is about 23.5" in height. It weighs a heavy 17lbs 12oz. We assume since this is from the sea and very old that it is made of brass. Dutch Vintage Maritime Ship Mast Lantern Heklicht Copper Brass Netherlands DHR
This item has me puzzled. I don't know if is made of copper and then brass coated or if is brass. It is embossed"HEKLICHT" on top. The glass front has a logo which is a triangle with 3 Gs on it. In the bottom it is marked"DHR Netherlands 07-02" It has some tarnish and oxidation. I hope you can see that in the pictures. It is very nicely made and it appears old but, I am not an expert in this items so it might not be very old. I have had it for about 7 years or so and bought it from an estate sale. It has not been used by me and when I bought it the wick was brand new. It still is. There is a some damage in the fluid container. See last two pictures, the piece that broke off is there and it can be soldered back on, I think. Measurements: 14-1/2" tall. 6" deep and 7-1/2" wide. I could not find a maker's name but the adjuster has a 6 point star trademark and the bottom is marked"tarnish resistant wash& wipe" The glass shade has an acid etched ship pattern. It comes with a tall thin glass smoke chimney. It measures 15" high to the top of the chimney, the base is 3 5/16" wide. It has very obvious quality- best you could possibly find. Perhaps made by Weems& Plath or Scandinavian maker. Fine clean solid condition with no damage- check my photos. As soon as you have it in your hands you will be very impressed with this magnificent boat lamp.

You can see in one of the pictures the interior burner unit. Overall the piece is in good shape, some denting. No markings that I can find.

amazing antique vintage brass oil lantern. I dont know exactly the age of the piece but it is in really good shape. All parts are made with heavy gauge copper and brass. The lens is thick heavy glass. You can see some small air bubbles inside the glass) This is truly a quality lamp that will last for many years.
