Rare NOAAS REASEARCHER R-103 Vessel Emergency Light Acquired and restored by an engineer that was on the ship The Researcher R-103 was built in 1968 and had this name from 1970-1987 then it was renamed. The vessel was decommisioned in 1996. Included is the complete detailed drawing of the lamp circuit. Holds the charge for use once the battery is taken out. Use a 6 volt battery to charge and remove for use of the light. I was told by the engineer that restored it that it works and the bulb appears to be intact. The lamp holding the bulb is brass. The red box is metal. Weighs 5 pounds 9oz. The total height is 11" x 9" wide& 4" deep. The red box measures 6.25" x 6.75" x 4" The letters of the name of the ship are cut out of the red paint. Antique J.H. Peters& Bey. Hamburg 11, Germany marine navigation ship lantern. This is a vintage possibly WWII era anchor light made by the German company J.H. Peters& Bey; Hamburg. The plate on the back of the anchor light reads"J.H. PETERS& BEY HAMBURG 11. The lamp body is made of galvanized metal and the chimney cap is made of copper. The Fresnel lens is hand-scribed with some information as seen in the photographs. Numbers inscribed include the number of the lamp(43344) and other information that is unknown. My father purchased this ship lantern in 1964 at moss point Mississippi.It came from one of the ships in the National Defense Reserve(Ghost Fleet) that was anchored in Blakeley River. AL. Vintage Copper PERKO Nautical Ship Lantern Electrical Marine Light Gulf Oil
This 16 1/4" tall electric lantern with an all original patina and toggle switch is from the estate of Howard Craven. He was a ship captain for the Gulf Oil Company until he retired in the early 1950's. When he then took up painting ships with oil on canvas. His father was also a ship captain, so I'm not sure which one used this lantern. It is all copper than I can see. It would be beautiful polished up, but I chose to leave it as is for those of you that would prefer it in it's original condition. Vintage Marine Ship Navigation Light Nautical Maritime Lantern Clear Boat WW II
My husband is organizing his shop and parting with quite a few items. Here is one of those items and his description of it: Maybe a good Christmas gift for the nautical collector in your life? Vintage marine ship’s iron navigation light. 180 degree clear glass Fresnel lens Navy? WWII? I picked this up at an estate sale and planned to use it as yard lighting. Turned out it did not fit the landscape plan. This is a large ships navigation light. Either for the stern(showing white two points abaft of the beam, starboard and port) or masthead light(forward, showing two points abaft of beam, both starboard and port) This shows a bit of light surface rust in spots. The result of years at sea. There is no internal mounting or wiring for a bulb, but that could be easily designed and installed. The gasket around the hinged lid is missing, but could ... morebe replaced with some type of weather-stripping. There are two small chips in the Fresnel lens, as shown in the photo. These should not affect the durability of the lens. You can see the imperfections in the lens from the glass casting process, as sign of its age. This stands 11 ½ inches tall. 8 inches in diameter(across) 9 inches across the top latch and hinge. The Fresnel lens is full width and 7 inches high. The base is round with“bayonet” mounting slots and is 5 ¾ inches outside and 5 3/16 inch inside diameter. The lid is held closed by a hinge on one side and thumb bolt on the other. The lid swings open freely. This is how I found it, I only cleaned the lens to confirm no other damage. I put a light inside it to show what it looks like illuminated for the pictures. The light does not come with this piece of marine hardware. As many ships navigation lights are made of brass or bronze. I can’t help to wonder if this was from a WWII ship, a time when these metals were in short supply and needed for munitions manufacture for the war effort. Pair of Vintage 1940's Ship's Wheel & Lantern Nautical Motif Wall Sconces
This is a pair of vintage 1940's ship's wheel nautical themed sconces. The body of the sconce is a copper colored ship's wheel with brass handles and the he shade is shaped to look like the top of a lantern. With a frosted top and clear sides. They are in excellent condition for their age with some minor wear to the brass finish, and one of the glass shades has a small superficial crack, as shown. One sconce has some dried paint drops that can easily be removed. They measure approximately 8.5" tall. The shade has a diameter of 3.75" and the wheel has a diameter of 7.5" including the spokes. As with all vintage lighting, we recommend that they be inspected and/or rewired by a professional before use. We want you to be thrilled with your purchase from us. Vintage Japanese Brass/Copper Ship Lantern 1949
This is a very large(22" high x 9" Diameter) what I believe is a Japanese Ship Lantern. It has a plate riveted to it that has the Japanese description on it. I can't understand any of it except the date 1949. It is made of copper& brass. The oil reservoir is connected by 2 hinged bolts and drops out the bottom for easy filling. Handles on the top& bottom can swing out as desired. With the bottom handle. It looks like these lanterns can be stacked. It does have a couple small dents(I think easily fixed) but it is a very solid unit. Would be very sweet lantern when restored. No glass. Pictures reflect a bent spot along one of the upper seams. Approximate size is 14.5" tall including carry handle by 9" wide. This lantern has NOT been converted to an electrical light. I have included the lighted pictures so you can see the brilliance of the green glass. Glass does not have any cracks or major scratches in them. The glass does not have any marks in the glass, other than what appears to be consistent with how glass was made during that time. I do not know the exact age of this lantern. However it is the only one I have seen with 5 semi-globe sections. I was going to convert this Kerosene/oil lamp into a lighted lamp and clean it up for my nautical ... morethemed room, but never got around to it. I now am moving and liquidating some of my stuff. I did pay quit a bit for this lamp due to its unusualness and size, however I am willing to take any reasonable offers. A rare vintage nautical barometer lamp with a ship in the bottle and an antique copper starboard oil lamp with a blue glass lens. The barometer is a Carrington. Which was made in England, and is in working order. The antique copper starboard oil lamp is a Tung Woo, and is in excellent condition for its age. The 3 way light switch controls both the lamp and lantern, so one can light both lamps or just one of them. The vintage ship in the bottle has a chain attached to the cork, which is anchored to a brass post on the base of the lamp. The base of this lamp is bordered with fisherman's rope, as is the barometer. Large Ship Lantern Lamp Port Red Vintage Nautical Boat Double Curved Glass
Gorgeous Port Light Lantern. Lantern measures approx. 10 inches tall(not counting the pail 3.5" type handle) by 7 inches wide by 6 inches deep. I have sold a half dozen nautical lamps and this is by far the fairest of them all.inside 7 out. It has a beautiful patina. Only one very small dent, no scratching or chips. There are two layers of curved glass.the exterior glass(Barcelona Glass) is clear and a red internal curved piece. Both pieces excellent.no chips or cracks There is an opening. Surrounded by a rubber gasket, going into the lamp. Not sure what it is for, maybe a lead light. I placed a small light in the body to show what this lamp can look like. Could be electrified quite easily with the hole already there. Great looking lamp. Would look great all lit up out on a boat dock. By the pool or on a patio. Weathered and has some rust and oxidizing on the lantern. The top hanging part is loose as screws not secure in the back of it. I believe it is copper and or brass. I do not see any name on the lantern. There are no dents on the lantern. Front screw opening. The front has the word PORT. The light is heavy red glass. Not plastic. There is no interior piece that lights the lantern. The glass has come loose and the metal frame has separated in the corner but all of this can be fixed. Could use a cleaning/polishing. For its age. It is in very good condition. HUGE 19" KILBORN SAUER CO. Nautical Ship navigation Light Lantern Antique
This is a HUGE antique ship navigation light. I have never seen one this large. It weighs over 17 lbs and measures 24"including the handle. The bottom plate is missing. The globe is red and is stamped and made by Perko so I think just the glass was made by them. Im not sure if this has the original wiring or if it was rewired for personal use there is a light bulb inside that hangs from the top. The bulb and wires can be easily removed.

Rare Vintage Perko Brass Ship Boat Large Tank Lantern
Super nice original Perko lantern that shows little use. The wick shows that it was used some. And the glass shield around the wick is cracked. Other than that this is an outstanding example of this lantern with the extra large tank. There are a couple of tiny dings but nothing noticeable. This has not been polished, and is in original untouched condition. There is a small Perko tag on one side but the engraving is light and will not show up for the camera. The lantern is 14" high not counting the top ring, and 7" diameter at the base of the tank. This is a lantern from my personal collection that I am selling off. Large Vintage/Antique Brass/Copper Ships Reflector Oil Lantern. The lantern itself is 24" tall(with chimney) and about 15" wide. With the handle it is about 32" tall. It appears to be complete with burner and glass chimney. The hinges need to be soldered(they are barely hanging on) There are gray paint splatters on the lantern and plenty of patina. It has a place on the back for wall mount(I think) The handle is bent and dented but the lantern itself is in pretty good condition. The handle and possibly the chimney will be removed for shipping purposes. I didn't show a pic of the wicks but they look new.
