Vintage ANCHOR SEAHORSE Ship Light Lantern 19" Nautical Maritime Brass RARE
This vintage Seahorse Anchor light lantern is salty and original. It is 23 1/2" tall with loop and is very rare. The patina is very nice and shows that this is the real deal. It was purchased from the estate of a northwestern salvage co. owner. The glass is excellent and very thick and heavy and the light weighs 16 lbs. I have had this lamp checked by experts and it is a very old and rare lamp. This is a collectors piece and not intended for use. The lamp is marked Not Under Command. Burner stamped THE NATIONAL MARINE LAMP CO. metal plate on the flat back side has a patent date of APRIL 1ST 1913. 10" tall to the top of the ring on top, 4 3/4" wide, 4 1/2" deep, galvanized metal. The burner is rusted through and is missing one of two metal tabs that held it in place. The metal lantern shows areas of surface rust but is solid and not flimsy in any way, ding on the cupola where the ring is mounted, both pieces of glass in good condition. It would be simple to electrify or even easier to place a battery op light inside and enjoy the colored glass. Antique Military Naval Ship Boat Lantern Light 5293-L-5 USS Savannah
This is a WWII US Naval Ship USS Savannah gray battle lantern. It is in the same condition as it was when it was on the ship. There are scuffs in the paint in some spots exhibiting minimal wear and there is also original dust/dirt adding great patina to the lantern. Some of the dirt and scuffs appear as scratches but are not. Some screws are missing from the top(see photo) but the ones that are there hold the lid on very tightly. There are no dents or dings.except for below the hanging bracket where it came in contact with the hangar. These are minimal. Overall in great shape for over 70 years old! The yellow lens is not cracked or broken and there is a bulb in the light base. The diameter of the lens is 3 3/4 inches. The overall height of the lantern is 10 inches including the handle. Rare Antique Helvig kerosene ship's compass binnacle lantern circa 1880
Plate on back of this brass lantern reads: H.A.J. Helvig& Co. Manufacturers New York" It is 8" H& 3 1/2 W across front. Helvig did a great business. With lanterns, in 1800's but finding a similar lantern is rare. Some years ago, I found one that was referred to as a Whale oil lantern w/handles for carrying, 1845. Value placed on it was 2,500. Then I placed a note inside the lantern w/that info, but today I can't remember if it was just the same, though today I think that year may have been earlier than when my family sailed. I believe that it was used in about mid to late 1800's. I have used as a decoration for at least 50 years. Nothing has been added to it, so I believe it is all original, but not sure if it had been done before I inherited it in 1962. The glass globe is pretty shinny, so maybe not original, ... morealso has an unused wick. I occasionally, through the year, gave it a slight polish to highlight the brass luster, but untouched for past 20 years. The back of the top part(neck) has some brass missing from it's thin collar. Visible on 2nd picture. The top round has some old dings, the name plaque has lifted. Basically, there are some dings and nicks overall, but nothing major for a working tool. Vintage Nautical Maritime Electric Ship Wheel Hanging Lantern Ceiling Light Fixture Lamp. Has 3 Lantern style lights hanging from the ship wheel. Made to be hard wired into the ceiling. All the wires are present. All the frosted glass shades are in great shape. There are some scratches on the ship wheel. But those can be touched up pretty easy if desired. One og the hanging lanterns is missing a twist on fastener for the top of one of the rods that goes from top to bottom. This does not effect the use. All in all this is a great nautical piece. Measures 24" across the ship wheel. Each lantern is 7"H and 6" wide. Hangs down about 22"

Offered for your consideration is this nice PAIR of kerosene oil lights. Made by the Marine-Division of the Artistic Brass and Bronze Works New York NY. Each light has a makers tag attached to the front of the base. Both lights look to be pretty complete with oil burner and chimneys still there. Sorry no wall mounting brackets. I am not sure if the wicks are still in them. The knob that raises and lowers the wick is very hard to turn on both lanterns. I think the wick mechanism needs to be cleaned. There is a very minor amount of corrosion on the tops of the bases. Each lantern measures about 18" tall to the top of the handle. Base measures about 7" across. This interesting old lamp is most likely from the early part of the 20th Century. Perhaps before. It looks as though this piece has all its necessary components including a key, at one the end of the original chain, in order to control light(it moves the wick up and down) Even the wick looks like it would most likely work with a bit of fuel. The lamp base is bordered with fisherman's rope, as is the back of the lamp surrounding the barometer. The Carrington barometer was made in England. And is in working condition, but I'm unsure of its accuracy. The lamp is controlled with a 3 way light switch which controls both the lamp and the lantern. For sale is an antique maritime ships lantern made of copper and brass. The lantern is in fair condition. It is missing the burner. Plus. The globe has been busted and glued back together. It stands about 19 inches tall. The base measures about 9 inches ac ross the bottom. I don't know who the maker is. There is a plate with the number 44190 on the front. Great Matching Pair of Old. Marine Ship's Lantern Lamps. These look like Brass.and they also look like Bronze.I can't be sure. I DO know that the Handles are Bronze. I am estimating that these probably date back to Late World War I or Early World War II and may well have been used on military vessels and/or Merchant marine vessels. They are Electric and have Rotating Shutters both on the body and in the bottoms of the lamps. In this way, the light could be closed off both from the sides and the bottoms as need be.kind of an early manual rheostat. These both Measure 8" Tall to the top of the Threaded, Screw-in Lid. The lid, itself measures 3 3/4" Diameter and has a 1 1/2" tall Wire Pass-through apparatus. To the top of the extended handle measures 12" The Base of the lantern measures 5 1/2" Diameter. The winner can leave the patina look or polish it to a high luster brass binish. There is no damage to any of the glass. There is a thick outer clear glass. Thick red filter glass and a thin hurricane glass over the wick. The only problem I can see is the clear outer globe has hard water build up and should be cleaned and polished. Also the vent adjusting knob is stuck. Maybe needs WD40. This lantern still has a wick in it. I think it just needs fuel to work. This is a great little item. I was told it is a ship's binnacle lamp. It is in very good used condition with normal aged discoloration and no denting that I can see. But without polishing it, it is difficult to tell. I ran my hand over it and did not feel any damage. I left the original patina as is because personally, I think that is part of it's charm. When you open the lens, there is a spring loaded lever that slides back to reach the burner. Mirrored on the back side of this. I see no maker marks. Here we have a very nice quality matched pair of ~ COPPER NAUTICAL BOAT LANTERNS ~. These Vintage boat lights were recently acquired out of a private estate. They are solid copper with glass lenses and appear to be very nice quality lamps. We believe that these were made in the 1960's era as replacements for the original antique lamps. I would imagine that they were very expensive to purchase when new. They measure 9 1/2 inches tall" not counting the bail handle" by about 6 inches wide. They are in very nice condition with only a couple fairly minor little dents. The ne burner has the chimney and the other burner does not. Up for sale is a beautiful old brass maritime oil lantern that is signed"Wedge. This is a really cool old lantern. And it was very well made. There is glass on all four sides behind the grates. One side is a door that opens via a little latch. This lantern measures about 15" tall by 6 3/4" by 6 3/4" The brass has a beautiful, aged patina and the glass is free of any chips or cracks. Vintage Brass Wilcox Crittenden Conn Ship Boat Light Lantern Lamp Red & Green
I do not know how old this lantern is. I think that it is old enough to be considered vintage or possibly antique. The oval plate on the back of it reads. Wilcox, Crittenden& Co. Inc. Middletown, Conn. U.S.A. It appears to be brass. Most of the photos make the metal look redder than it actually is. The photos where the metal looks like it has a very slight greenish tint are closer to representing the actual color. I see where the close-up of the hole where the burner goes makes the edges look like maybe the metal is not brass. In real life. That is not the case. The edges look like brass. A magnet will not stick to any of the lantern and I believe that it is solid brass. I have provided a photo of the bottom being held up to a light to show how it might look when illuminated. Not including the ring at the top. It measures about 9 ½ ... moreinches high. The ring at the top adds about 1 3/4 inches. It weighs about 2 pounds 3.5 ounces. The divider is removable. The condition is much like you see it in the photos. The burner is missing. Otherwise. It is generally in excellent condition. The tarnish is a little uneven and there is a little green oxidation on the back that you can see in a photo. I have provided a close-up of a bend in the edge of the hole for the burner. I do not know if it should be there or not. A close-up shows a small shallow depression just below the seam on the chimney. I do not know if it was made that way or not. Otherwise, are no dents in the metal or breaks or cracks in the glass. The inside and a little of the outside of the glass could use some cleaning. It looks like there is some soot on the inside of the top part. There is a little of some kind of dark hard gunk on the bottom that you can see in the photo of the bottom. Otherwise, it is fine and as shown. My photos should give you a good idea of its general condition. I guarantee this lantern to be as described and represented by my photos. Nautical Ship Lantern (City Metal Company) with Red Pyrex Globe
Rare City Metal Nautical Ship Lantern. This lantern is known as a Dark Lantern. Because of the shield that could be raised to conceal the light. Made from 1910-1923, they were used during World War 1 by the U. S. Navy and Merchant Ships. The globe is red and marked Pyrex at the top. It is about 5 1/8" high, it is a straight cylinder shape with four"ribs" that run vertically. No cracks or chips that I can see. The burner is an original Simplex Burner, used in City Metal lanterns. It is marked E. Miller& Company on the wick adjustment knob. On the top of the dome lid is marked City Metal. City Metal has a unique design for the air holes, not seen in other Deck or Dark lanterns. The lantern measures 17" high to the top of the handle, and about 7" at the base.

Wick inside is intact as well as the wicks handle on the side. The bottoms wire like base is slightly bent. There is some rust throughout and a 1/2 inch long, 1/8 inch dent on the top. Very good condition overall.

Large antique Perko ship lantern metal/Green glass
This lantern is from my Grandfather's collection and unfortunately he's unable to give me specifics on it. This is believed to be a ship lantern but the globe has"PERKO" near seam. Measures approximately 20" tall and 10" at widest point. This lantern is solid. Weighs approximately 12 pounds. Needs to be cleaned up, it's dirty from years in storage. My Grandfather said it worked when packed up years ago, this is being sold UNTESTED. I have not taken this apart or done any extensive cleaning. The Globe appears solid but looks like there could be some deep cracks although the surface is smooth. The glass has a few scratches and chips. I've photographed all imperfections. This lantern features a nice Satin Black Finish. All new electrical which includes a new Vintage Style 40 watt Edison Light Bulb, a new Full Range Leviton Dimmer Switch, a new Vintage Style 7 Ft. Clothe covered twisted two wire electrical cord and a new vintage style plug end. All electrical connections are soldered and heat shrunk. The top of this lantern is hinged so the bulb is easy to change and you can use any bulb of your choice. VERY RARE! French Barbier & Benard Turenne BBT Lighthouse Brass Ship Lantern
Up for auction is a very rare French Barbier Benard& Turenne Candle Powered Brass Lighthouse/Ships Navigational Lantern- Circa Very Early 1900's! These are very rare and hard to find. Only 4 have been listed on ebay during the past 7 years. This type/style of lantern was also often used as a Lighthouse Keeper's Stairwell/Passageway Light& was made by the very famous lighthouse'Fresnel' lens makers Barbier Benard& Turenne of Paris& clearly marked as such on it's front badge. This is the only Barbier Benard& Turenne lantern I have seen with rope wrapped handle. The lantern appears to have been restored some time ago. The internal screws that hold the bottom half to the glass globe guards are replacement screws. The glass globe is damaged, and I do not believe it was the original glass globe. I m no expert, ... morebut I think this lantern takes a Fresnel type globe instead of the clear type pictured with the lantern. Except for the glass globe the lantern appears to be complete and in excellent condition. please closely review all of the photos for the material condition. VERY RARE ANTIQUE JAPANESE NIPPON SENTO NAUTICAL SHIP BRASS LANTERN SIGNAL LAMP
For sale is an Antique Japanese Nippon Sento Co. Ltd. Ships Brass Oil Signal Lamp Lantern. This is a very rare lantern I have never seen another one like it listed on Ebay. The lamp is in excellent condition as evident by the photos. It has a very nice patina on the outside and looks great as is. Or can easily be polished for a brilliant shine. The lamp has a wooden handle, and on the left side of the lamp is a thumb toggle switch that opens and closes an aperture behind the lens that allows the light to have the appearance of turning on and off. I'm no expert, but I believe the lamp was designed for semaphore which is a method of using light to visually communicate with another ship, or from ship to shore, and vice a versa. The toggle switch works smoothly, and the door opens and closes freely. Please closely review all of the photos ... morefor the material condition of the lamp. The lamp has the original oil/kerosene pot, but it is missing the glass chimney and possibly a reflector that may have fit in the small rectangular slot at the end of the pot. A replacement glass chimney can be easily found online. The lantern measures approximately 20" inches from the top of the handle to the base, and it is approximately 10 1/2" inches wide. If you are a serious collector you do not want to miss the opportunity to own this lantern you may never see another one like it on Ebay. Vintage Ship Brass Lantern with Wood Handle 16 3/4" Tall Railroad Steampunk
This is a vintage heavy brass lantern with a wood handle. Don't know much about this as to what type of lantern it is. It appears that this was possibly converted at one time to an electric lamp or was always an electric lamp made to resemble a lantern. The front has a working hinged opening that lools like it held a glass lense at one time. An attached brass plate on the front shows a picture of a ship or riverboat and the name"LOUISIANE" underneath this ship. This measures 16 3/4" to the top of the handle. 12 1/2" tall not including handle, 9" deep on the side, 6" wide at the front(at the widest point) Nice patina without much tarnish.
