Antique Boat Ship Vintage Bow Light Brass Vessel Perko Blue Red Glass Nautical
Up for auction is a antique bow light. I am unsure what boat this was off of but it was definitely removed from a boat here on long island. It appears to have a brass body and blue/ red glass. It does come with a wooden mount. The only issue with this light is it is chipped in the blue portion of the glass. Other then that it appears to be in nice shape. It has been sitting on a shelf for years and could use a good cleaning. It is being sold in as is condition. Please see my other antique nautical items up for auction this week. BRONZE PERKO BOW LIGHT BOX BOAT SAILBOAT SHIP BRASS
This is an old bronze Perko bow light we found at a local estate sale. It measures 7+7/8 inches long. 4+3/4 inches wide and 3+3/4 inches tall. This one is in used condition. It needs rewiring and has no guts whatsoever. It has a small crack in the bronze on the front of the light and the plug on the back is missing. The lenses are perfect with no chips or cracks. Both lenses say Perko on them. Inside there is a small flake of glass missing by one of the plates holding the lense in. It would be perfect for that authentic restoration! I have a pair of rare vintage brass Perko marine ship's lamps or lanterns. They used to be kerosene or oil but were converted to electric. They are in wonderful shape with no dents or damage and everything is intact. they do however have wear that is consistent with age. Each lantern has a finger lamp inside that is removable as shown in the pictures. A 4 inch reflector/ mirror, and 3 glass panels. Each is also stamped with a brass tag that reads" PERKO Manufacturer's Reg. Trademark Perkin's Marine Lamp& Hardware Corp. Miami Florida USA" on the front and another stamp on the back that reads the same thing. They both measure almost 14" tall. one being about 1/4" taller than the other one. You can definitely tell that these gems were handmade. These are very cool nautical decorations or gifts!

This light was converted to an indoor display light but it still has the original three sockets if someone wants to return it to its original use as a nautical light. Either way this nautical light will display well. New/Used: Used. Approximate Dimensions in Inches- Length: 10” Diameter: 5 ½” Condition: Very good. The previous owner converted it to an indoor display light. The only two things we did were clean/inspect the glass lens and replacing the light cord. Which was defective. There is some corrosion and oxidation on the original three light sockets. The lens is intact with the exception of a crack near the new light bulb that was added. This crack is not that noticeable and can only ... morebe seen when the light is on. It does not appear to go all the way through the glass because you can’t feel it with your fingernail on either the inside or outside. Please see the last picture depicting this flaw. They both have been wired for electricity and don’t have their burners. Although their reflectors are present. They measure approximately 17” high to the top of the handle. And 7-1/4” wide. One lantern still has its mounting bracket. And the globe has a crack on the side(approx. 3” long) Also that cap on top is missing a small piece where it would attach to the lantern. This brass navigation lamp has been electrified for modern use and is in very good condition for its age. No breaks or cracks, marks on glass is reflection from camera light flash. Some minor scratches as to be expected on a Lamp this old, some soldering, needs plug, one cage wire slightly bent. Here is a very old QUALITY made BRASS/ BRONZE? NAUTICAL SHIP LIGHT. This ANTIQUE NAVIGATION light has a 6 1/2 inch base across and is about 5 1/2 inches tall. This light has really nice AGED PATINA and is a GREAT SHOW DISPLAY PIECE. there ARE 5 base bolts with this light. There are no interior parts. The glass shows on only 1/2 side of the light which was probably for a forward facing deck light. I DO NOT KNOW IF THIS WAS FROM A SHIP MAST? There are no makers marks. Very HEAVY about 7 lbs. This is a Vintage Wall Mount Brass Oil Lamp for a Ship or Large Boat. It looks to be complete and in excellent condition. There is some minor cosmetic wear such as light scratches and some discoloration. The winder for the wick. It looks like this is all original and it didn't have a round part on the end because there are no signs of damage. That is the only piece I might question. This light measures just over 9 inches tall and is about 7 inches wide. The base has four mount legs. All new USA wiring and bulb socket that is marked UL has been installed. These were purchased by my parents in an antiques shop in Upper Michigan near Lake Superior back in the 50's.They were used by them in their nautical themed summer hone for about 20 years then packed away in the attic until found this week. They are very nice and can be either lit up green and red in the glass area if desired by a switch or used a single or double lamp by individual chain pulls. These are in excellent working condition. It was wired for ship use as it has a ground wire as well? it has a very thick red glass with a few chips& cracks from use& age. nothing that compromises it's usage or condition. it weighs 11 pounds& is 10" x 6" the light itself has been tested& works. it has not been cleaned or polished by us, although it looks like someone took scouring pad or steel wool to some areas, none of which has caused any permanent or bad damage, but you can see these areas in pictures. the one crack we found is only on the inside of glass& can only be seen when held up to light& spun til found. Rare Antique 1920's Perko Brass Ship's Fog Bell Marine Lamp Original Patina
Rare 1920's original 8" fog bell lamp marked on inside of bell. PERKO, Perkins M.S. Co. Bklyn, N.Y. 07-61" Since I couldn't find a similar Perko fog-bell-lamp form anywhere, I contacted the Perko Marine Lamp Corp in Miami Florida with photos of the lamp. They said that this was originally manufactured by Perkins in this lamp-form and that it is not a custom piece made outside the factory by an individual. In their library they found only a 1920 and a 1932 catalog. In the 1920 catalog, they found a lamp that had similar fittings. I believe the markings inside the bell date this lamp to sometime between 1922 when the"PERKO" trademark was created and 1932 when the company name was changed to Perko Marine Lamp and Hardware Corp. It has a well-aged patina. Height from bottom of base to top of eagle finial is 20" ... moreDiameter of bell is 8" Bell has a wonderful resonant. Distinctive fog bell sound. Lamp is in good working order. Not sure if the wiring has been changed at all- the electrical plug is the old-style with prongs of even width. Some black electrical tape on bottom as you can see in photo. Shade is a replacement. Condition generally very good with no cracks or dings- pls see closeup photos. It is made out of brass and has one side with green ribbed glass and the other side with red ribbed glass. There is also a divider made of brass that separates the two colors from view of passing ships on the high seas(sometimes seen missing or damaged on other lights) The brass has a nice patina from many decades of life. There is a decent size dent on the slightly-domed top(please see photos) The side of the light is marked with Perko's logo and company info. Being made in Brooklyn,NY. My guess as to age would be from around the 1930s or 40s. It could be even earlier-back into the 20s or so- but I'm not certain. The glass is in good condition. With no major breaks, cracks or scratches. ... morethere is normal wear consistent with age on both red and green glass(in the center particularly- please see photo) Also. Each of the red and green also have a very small chip in one of the thin ribs that runs laterally across the glass. For your consideration is a matching pair of Perko Brass Ship Lanterns. These were the port and starboard lanterns on a ship. These are vintage. I do not know the exact age of them. Each lantern has a Fresnel glass lens. They have been converted to electricity so that you can plug them in and they light up. They both work as you can see in the pictures. These are large lanterns each measuring approx. 12 1/2" T 10" W and each weighing over 11 lbs. They have some scuffs to the metal as you can see in the photos but overall are in great condition. The lens cover on one has 2 chips on an edge. Rare Vintage Perko Brass Ship Boat Large Tank Lantern
Super nice original Perko lantern that shows little use. The wick shows that it was used some. And the glass shield around the wick is cracked. Other than that this is an outstanding example of this lantern with the extra large tank. There are a couple of tiny dings but nothing noticeable. This has not been polished, and is in original untouched condition. There is a small Perko tag on one side but the engraving is light and will not show up for the camera. The lantern is 14" high not counting the top ring, and 7" diameter at the base of the tank. This is a lantern from my personal collection that I am selling off. ANTIQUE SOLID BRASS SHIP'S PERKO LANTERN PERKINS MARINE LAMP & HARDWARE CORP.
This listing is for a large solid brass ship's lantern marked"PERKINS MARINE LAMP& HDWE CORP. It measures approximately 14-3/4" tall(excluding handle) and has a base diameter of 7-1/8" The lantern has been painted black over the brass which shows through in several places(see photos) The lantern is an estate find and we do not know if the paint is original. The high quality of the paint job prompts us to wonder. The glass globe has no cracks in it and the original tank plug is present. The glass is marked Perko 31-L-17A. The oil burner is missing. The lantern takes an oil burner with a 1-3/16 ID thread. There are some minor dings and dents in the lantern as well as a small split in the cap where it joins with the glass globe(see photos) There are no repairs and the split does not affect the integrity of the cap. This listing is for a pair of Vintage Antique Perko Nautical Marine Ship Port and Starboard Oil Lamp Lanterns. Both lanterns are marked Perkins Marine Lamp& Hardware Corp. Perko Brooklyn. NY, USA. The lanterns are in good shape for their age and the lanterns themselves stand about 9 inches tall. They do have some dents and dings towards the tops of the lanterns but the glass has no cracks and is in good shape. They do have alot of oxidation, minor on the outside and major on the inside. I was not going to clean them because I did not want to discolor them but they will hopefully clean up very nicely if cleaned properly. In the last picture you can see one hinge is slightly bent so it is a little harder to close and open that side of the lantern but each opening on the lanterns do lock.
