Beautiful original condition but untested and will likely need restoration in order to function at 100% The glass measures approx. 6" in diameter and the COPPER housing is nearly 6 1/2" deep. The unit is approximately 17" tall from top to bottom. THIS BEAUTIFUL PIECE WEIGHS NEARLY 7 POUNDS! Now that's a lot of copper! Because of it's QUALITY EARLY AMERICAN BUILD The mechanical functions work very well. Push the handle up and down and the lamp housing aims upwards and downwards. Up for auction is a beautifully restored pair of Brass Cyclone Lamps with Amber glass. I could not find the maker of these lamps other than they are marked"Made in New Jersey" on the front. They are electrified and work perfectly. I found them in an antique shop completely tarnished and dirty. I had them professionally cleaned and polished several years ago and had them mounted above my fireplace mantle. They look spectacular when lit. I recently moved and don't have a place for them. Resistant to corrosion in a nautical environment, brazed or riveted at the joints. The thick. The boat light came off a old Crestliner boat, the cottage nautical lamp with the milk glass globe came out of a cottage on torch lake Michigan. The vertical piece came out of Torch Lake and the base was found on the shore line near Fort Morgan at the entrance of Mobile Bay. The two pcs of driftwood were cut in two, and that made it possible to make two lamps of the same style. The materials and design are all original work and the Base is 14" long x 10" wide x 17" high. Each lamp weighs 12 lbs. so they each are sturdy. They were made as a pair, but will sell them individually. In super condition is this 1960s All Wooden Table Lamp in a Nautical Maritime theme. The Lamp has a large anchor resting on its side against a big beer keg. The Beer Keg is made of wooden staves and metal hoops. It has a spigot in front. Near the Keg is a wooden Beer Stein wrapped in metal hoops. The Lamp is framed in real rope around the top and around the recessed base. The base is kidney shape and is thick solid wood. The“floor” of the base is grooved to represent a ship’s floor. The Lamp is all original and comes with its original neck. Harp, finial and cord set. The light switch is a 3-way light switch and works on all 3 levels. The Base has its original green felt surface protectors. The Lamp measures 29” high to the top of the harp; 13” high to the top of the upper rope, 11” wide and 10” deep. The Harp measures 9” high. The Lamp weighs ... more6 pounds. The top and bottom rope are in absolute excellent condition with no signs of frays or stains. The neck is a little loose at the base but can easily be tightened-up by removing the large green felt protector allowing access to the turn-nut inside. Own a piece of US Naval History! General Simon B. Buckner(T-AP-123) 1945-1997. Previously USS Admiral E. W. Eberle(AP-123) and U.S. Army Transport General Simon B. Buckner USS Admiral E. W. Eberle. A 9,676-ton(light displacement) Admiral W. S. Benson-class transport built by the Maritime Commission to its P2-SE2-R1 design. Was commissioned in January 1945 with a largely Coast Guard crew. She departed San Francisco in March with troops and supplies for the Southwest Pacific, then moved to the Philippines where she embarked over 2,000 formerly interned civilians for repatriation to the United States. After arriving at San Pedro, California, in early May Admiral E. W. Eberle ... morewent to the Atlantic. Where in June and early July she made a crossing carrying troops from Naples, Italy to Trinidad and another returning servicemen to the United States from Le Havre, France. RARE UNMODIFIED ANTIQUE BRASS SHIP ANCHOR LANTERN MARITIME NAUTICAL COPPER RIVET
Up for sale is RARE UNMODIFIED ANTIQUE BRASS SHIP ANCHOR LANTERN. This is such a great find because as just stated it is UNMODIFIED. Meaning it has NOT been converted over to electric. This lamp features a brass body with handmade copper rivets. All the hardware(rivets. Hinges, hasps, etc) appear to be hand made/forged. The ANCHOR brass label is applied on the top section which opens to expose the burner. The hook and chain to secure the hinged top are still intact. There is also a hinged top cap for flame inspection. When you open the top cap you will see that the chimney is triple insulated. It has a Frenzel type lens which appears to be old and original glass. The oil tank and burner assembly fits snug inside the lantern. Upon removal of the burner assembly from the oil tank. The wick is new and the inside of the oil tank has no residue ... moreor oil smell, suggesting it has to have been either cleaned very thoroughly(with several areas inside the tank unreachable) or possibly never used! Even though it seems to be the latter of the two options we still say possibly due to now documentation or provenance on the lantern beyond the current owner. This lack of evidence of use is consistent with inside of the metal chimney where no obvious traces of soot can be found. The base has aspiration vents all around it. The burner's wick knob has the words"SHERWOODS LTD. B'HAM MADE IN ENGLAND" on it. Making this from the very early 1900s at the latest from what we can find on the company. We have no reason to believe that this burner insert is anything but original to the lantern. Meaning we believe the lantern to be from the same time period. If anyone knows any different please share with us. In use this lamp would have been hauled up the ship's mast with halyards. To secure it as such. The lamp is equipped with substantial brass bail handles on the top and bottom. These are attached to heavy cast brass brackets riveted to the body of the lamp. Antique Wilcox Crittenden Galvinzed Nautical Ship Lantern
Beautiful old antique maritime nautical ship lantern. Punch out design is indicative of Wilcox. Crittendon being the manufacturer. Glass has no cracks or chips. Bronze colored chimney is intact with no bends or and only very slight dings. Metal top ring is still in place. Most lanterns of this sort are missing the rings. Punch out design along the chimney is really cool. The zinc galvanizing, applied to protect the metal from rust has done it's jump. This lantern was likely subjected to sprays of salt water but shows very little sign of rusting. The only exception are the hinges on the bottom plate that were not galvanized but still work perfectly. There is no burner in this lantern but add one and it is ready to go. The porcelain shade is 12 inches wide. When the light is mounted to the ceiling, it will extend down about 9 inches. This light weighs about 6 1/2 pounds.
