antique brass nautical ship/cabin gimbal lights
Offered for your consideration are three(3) antique brass cabin lights which were probably used on earlier sailboats. They are gimbal lights which means they will remain upright as the ship/boat rolls. Lights are 6" tall. Base is 3 1/2" dia. and stick out from the bulkhead approximately 5" They are wired for either 12V or 120V light bulbs and have on/off switches. I do not have the lamp shades but they should be easy to find and any boat supply store. These light are very unique, solid brass and would make a great addition to the interior cabin on your boat.

During the days of televisions inside decorative cabinets that also served as an elegant piece of furnature. Sat on top of gramp's beloved American made Magnavox tube television long before the days of wall-mounted LCD's. Measures 12 1/2" tall x 11" long x 2 3/4" wide at widest point(base) Weighs almost 2 lbs. Lamp is in good working condition. Newer electrical wiring/cord. Uses a Christmas light bulb. Which unscrews from the back for replacement. Currently features a blue bulb. I have no idea how old the bulb might be or how much longer it will work before replacement. Antique Warner-Patterson Company Nautical Search Light
This Antique Warner-Patterson Nautical Search Light is in very good condition. The large hinge that opens and closes the lens cover works fine. This search light and lens is in original condition. It has not been re-finished and retains it's original patina. It is safe to assume that it was in water a lot. Warner-Patterson made this thick glass lens in 1916 when it was first produced. I estimate it's age including the metal cover to be 1916 through the 1920s. It does not contain the original light. Which was replaced by a more modern red light bulb. The wiring from the light bulb to plug looks like it is from the 1950s era from the shape of the plug. The metal is attracted to a magnet. After it is plugged in you can open the cover and turn the light on if you like. Do not close the lens cover too tightly or it will be difficult to ... moreopen again. This is a very unique Maritime item. It's brass light with 4 sided glass. They had filaments of green and red. Port and Starboard are on the light. As you can see the colors had brittle. Antique Nautical Light Fixture, Wall Mount, Industrial Salvage, for Restoration
An antique nautical light acquired at an industrial salvage auction. There is no identifying information and I don't know what type of metal this is. It is covered with green verdigris except for the bottom edge which has been painted white. There is just a tiny bit of surface rust. Hardly worth mentioning, here and there, except for the cage which is completely rusted and broken. There is a porcelain bulb receptacle and the lens/shade is beautiful and made of thick ridged glass. It is about 7-1/2" high, with an opening inside diameter of 3-1/4" and a base diameter of about 5" It is very dirty but I am not doing any clean up as I don't want to disturb the patina or destroy the cage any further. The previous owner converted it to an indoor display light. The only two things we did were clean/inspect the glass lens and replacing the light cord. Which was defective. There is some corrosion and oxidation on the original three light sockets. The lens is intact with the exception of a crack near the new light bulb that was added. Vintage PERKO Nautical Navigation Light w/ selector. Displays red. Green or white lamps. Operational. 7 1/4" dia. and 5 1/2" h. Glass dome is 2 7/8" dia. and 3" h.approx. Requires(2) D batteries. Not included. For use on a small boat. Made of tin(I believe) it appears similar to a film canister. The metal body has mostly minor surface rust with a small hole on the underside. The aged, dark patina is a little rough. There is an"on-off" toggle switch located on the side. The glass dome reads"PERKO" and is clear, clean and in good shape, except for two very small, almost un-noticeable chips close together on the edge where it screws onto the base. The wired controller has three buttons, labeled Red, Green and White for selecting the lights individually, or all of the three other lamps at once, for maximum ... morebrightness. One lamp is always lit. The four bulbs appear to be original and have lost some of their colored tinting. Only one of the four sockets does not seem to work. Also, I have improvised a small flat piece of metal where the battery holder has corroded to provide a completed circuit so that the lamps will light up.

You are bidding on an Vintage Domed Red Glass Lens Air Bubbles Boat Nautical Industrial Light Lantern Excellent. This lens is 3 1/4" in diameter on the bottom~~the inside diameter on the bottom is 2 1/2"~~height is 2" This glass has survived quite well for it's age. The are no chips. Cracks or scratches. There are 2 chips on the flange which will never be seen. When this piece of glass was made, some specs were incorporated in the molten glass and those are the spots you see in my pics. Antique Maritime Nautical Galvanized Metal & Copper Lantern body Fresnel Lens
This antique nautical lantern(fore lantern? was purchased at a river-side Estate Sale and had been used as part of the rustic maritime decor in the home's spacious family room. It is 13 1/2" tall(not counting the ring to hang it by) and 6 1/2" in diameter. It weighs nearly 5 pounds. There is no battery; however. The wires are present. The copper needs cleaning and the galvanized metal is weathered. The Fresnel lens seems to be in perfect condition once cleaned up(1st photo is cleaned lens; last photo is uncleaned lens. Offered for sale is this Wilcox Crittendon(Navy? nautical lantern. Brass plate on bottom of lantern reads: Wilcox Crittendon& Co. Inc. Middletown. Conn USA" This lantern features a clear glass globe. Brass top and a brass fount. The overall condition of this lantern is very good and displays well as is. However, it does need a good cleaning and the hinge which attaches to the bottom plate needs to be re-soldered. Repaired and sold private 1947, wrecked and burnt 1966 This is a very large piece. I taped a dollar bill to it in one of thepics to show the size. Stern light removed from the Liberty ship F.A.C. Mahlenberg at the end of world war two. It would have been replaced by a peacetime(non hooded) light. The vessel was bombed off Naples in 1944 repaired and sold private in 1947 She was wrecked and burnt in 1966 The wartime light was hooded to allow other ships to follow her but not allow aircraft to see the light. This ship was actually shot at and bombed by the axis forces during world war two. Real history here. She was named after the first speaker of the house in the U.S. This light appears to be bronze. But it is not. It is a ... moreferrous metal. It appears that the non ferrous top is not original. The light is rewired for 115 volts and may be plugged in and lit. This listing is for an unique pair of vintage/antique(age unknown) electric accent lamps. They are unmarked but the inline switches are Leviton and the aqua shade is clearly marked Jefferson. These do have wear from age and use including very worn cloth electric cords(works but for safety needs upgrade) The brass/gold finish has corrosion and tarnish. And the shade on the red lamp is a bit bent on one of the edges. The red shade has a chip near the top- shown in picture 9 by pointer finger and some chipping around the bottom edge. My research shows that this may be an English Royal Naval Lamp however I am not 100% certain of this. This lamp is engraved on the front underneath the top section lid that lifts up. This top lid locks in place by the latch. The entire lid also lifts open. This item appears to be made from copper and brass however I am uncertain of the exact types of metal used. The lamp measures 15 and 3/4" tall by 8 and 3/4" wide by 7 and 1/4" deep. It weighs 8.6 pounds. The glass panes are all in good condition with no breaks present. There is some minor dents present as well as some wear. There is also a small opening in the metal on the top reverse section. I am unsure what may be missing from this lamp. Antique Brass Nautical Bow or Stern Lantern
This is an Antique Nautical Bow or Stern Lantern Lamp.Clear Ribbed Front Lens has a crack.The Piece is made of either Brass or Copper but has been painted over black apparently several times but I do see some areas of rub off that shows it to be brass or perhaps copper.The Lantern has a Drop down Bottom secured by a pull latch.I guess either an Oil Lamp or Candle would be placed on the bottom to illuminate the lantern.The LANTERN measures 17 1/2" tall x 7 1/4" wide x 6 1/4" deep.Due to the CLEAR LENS this was used either has a Bow or Stern Light.Pretty Cool Old Lantern!I can find no stamp manufacturer marks however. Due to the amount of paint those marks could be filled in and if the paint removed perhaps a MFG mark could be found.Thanks for looking!

THIS ANTIQUE SHIPS LANTERN IS IN EXCELLENT ORIGINAL CONDITION. IT'S A BRASS EXTENDING CANDLE LANTERN. THE INSIDE TUBE IS SPRING LOADED AND IT HAS SMALL HOLES WHERE THE WAX CAN DRIP OUT. YOU TURN THE LAMP AND IT SLIDES UP TO RAISE AND LOWER IT. IT HAS THE ORIGINAL WING HANDLES ON THE BACK AND THE ORIGINAL GLASS HAS A CRACK BUT IT'S INTACT AND SOLID. IT HAS A WONDERFUL PATINA OR FINISH ON IT AND I BELIEVE THIS IS FROM THE MID 1800s. IT'S VERY HEAVY AND VERY WELL BUILT AND THIS ONE IS OUT OF MY PERSONAL COLLECTION. IT'S A MAGNIFICENT PIECE AND IT'S VERY RARE AND VERY OLD. THE BASE IS 3 1/2 INCHES IN DIAMETER AND IT'S 9 INCHES TALL. IT'S 13 1/2 INCHES TALL WHEN IT EXTENDS. THIS ANTIQUE BRASS SHIPS LANTERN IS IN EXCELLENT ORIGINAL CONDITION. THIS ONE IS RARE AND IT HAS THE ORIGINAL BRASS TAG WHICH READS. NEITHER HAS ANY CRACKS AND THE INSIDE WHERE THE LENSES ARE HAVE BEEN PAINTED. THE TOP HAS A SLIGHT TILT WHEN LOOKING AT IT FROM THE FRONT BUT THERE ARE NO DENTS SO IT COULD BE FROM HOW IT WAS MADE.THE LAMP IS VERY HEAVY AND WELL MADE.THIS IS THE FIRST ONE LIKE IT I HAVE EVER SEEN AND IS OUT OF MY PERSONAL COLLECTION. THE BASE IS 5 1/2 BY 5 1/2 INCHES IN DIAMETER AND IT'S 14 1/4 INCHES TALL WITH THE HANDLE UP. IT'S 10 INCHES TALL TO THE TOP OF THE LAMP.
