Antique Sailing Ship's Cabin Oil Lantern on Gimble with Wick & Hurricane Globe
This is a small sailing ship cabin copper/brass oil lamp with glass hurricane globe mounted in a gimble for full motion on a rolling vessel. I have no idea of it's exact age but likely from the late 19th century. It's tarnished and I haven't attempted to clean it up. It measures approximately 7 1/2/ H by 3 1/2" W and would stand away from a ships bulkhead approximately 4 1/2" and weighs approximately 1 pound. It has the glass hurricane globe intact as well as a frabric wick so all you would need to do is fill it with keroscene(or whale oil? and light it up. Wonderful old lamp from the days of sail. It still displays very nicely. The center cap in the top flips up and it also opens at the base of the top as well. There is an oil lamp inside that does have the wick. In the center there is a very thick ribbed glass lens that has no cracks. There is a brass anchor hook on the top and the bottom. No dents, nice vintage condition. Very large, the lamp itself measures an impressive 18 1/2" tall not including the anchor hooks at the top and bottom. Diameter is about 9 3/4" This sizable lamp displays nicely. Antique HAJ HELVIG Maritime Kerosene Oil Hanging Ships Lantern Warning Light
Antique ships hanging lantern from the days of the grand sailing ships. This metal steel or iron(its magnetic) lantern was produced by H.A.G. Helvig MANUFACTURERS NEW YORK as shown on the tag on bottom front. Features a 2 sided lantern with a rounded front. There is a red circular glass shield in front of the kerosene or oil lantern wick. Back door has a slide into the hole to lock in place. Lantern can be hung by the top of slid onto a post on the backside slot. This is a riveted and welded piece with no screws as would be in a modern style lantern. SOLID with NO rust outs of holes. Red color is used in navigation to designate the port(left) side of a vessel. Removeable DIETZ CONVEX oil lantern from NEW YORK. Top removes easily to refill and change the wick.

Unusual Antique "Perko" Maritime Bow OIL Lantern ~Starboard & Port Lenses
Vintage“Perko” Maritime Bow Marker Oil Lamp Port& Starboard There seams to have been some repair to secure the Lenses and a Copper divide has been welded in on front of lamp. The Main case is galvanized metal and the top is brass. The Body is in good condition. With a mounting bracket on back and a Perko" oval stamped brass logo plate. The Lenses are red and a green(Port& Starboard) and in Perfect condition The Oil Burner seems to be a working unit with a wick still in place. The bottom of the lamp has a pinch clip insert. Antique Brass Ship's Oil Lantern. Looks like it was never used. Very nice condition; only one small dent in the wick assembly. And that can probably be pushed back from behind the guard very easily. There is no maker's mark or logo on the lamp. But there is an"RV" and an anchor on the wick turn knob. The glass chimney appears to be original to the lamp. Dimensions: 12 7/8" overall. 5 3/4" from back of mounting plate for the gimbal to the outside of the lamp. Chimney measures 6 7/8" in height and is 3 1/4" in diameter, the lamp body measures 7 1/2" tall and is 3 1/2" in diameter and 4 1/4" total width including the gimbal mounting pins that project 3/8" from either side of the lamp body. Antique Anchor Copper Oil/ Electric Ship Style Lantern Lamp
You are looking at an Antique Copper Anchor Lantern/ Lamp. This lantern is 19 inches tall and comes with an electric light kit as well as oil burner. The Fresnel style lens is made to magnify the oil lamp light to be visible for 20 nautical miles. Lamp is hand machined in pure heavy-gauge copper with brass trim. Vintage Copper PERKO Nautical Ship Lantern Electrical Marine Light Gulf Oil
This 16 1/4" tall electric lantern with an all original patina and toggle switch is from the estate of Howard Craven. He was a ship captain for the Gulf Oil Company until he retired in the early 1950's. When he then took up painting ships with oil on canvas. His father was also a ship captain, so I'm not sure which one used this lantern. It is all copper than I can see. It would be beautiful polished up, but I chose to leave it as is for those of you that would prefer it in it's original condition. It has what looks like original inner parts, wires, etc. see pictures) I have not tested to see if it works. I prefer not to challenge things like this since I know nothing of how they work. The inside looks well used. This and many other nautical pieces I will be listing over the next few weeks have been stored away in a smoke-free, ... morepet-free environment for more than two decades. Pat. 1890 Tarnished Brass Marine Oil Lamp Lantern Light, much rarer than Perko
Beautiful darkly tarnished 10" tall brass marine lantern with no stress cracks. See 360 degree images. Heavy glass globe is damage free and has 3/4" dimple cast in it as some sort of focusing device{see image with flame} Spring clips that retain the oil font have 1890 patent dates on them. Good working burner uniquely flips up for refilling. Bottom of font is dented and has a large solder repair on in but does not leak and rest correctly in lantern base. Beautiful display piece or rare design with a great patina. Quite heavy.

Antique Brass & Copper Masthead Lantern Kero/Oil 3 Lens
Estimated to be from the mid 1850's. It is worn as the pictures show. There is some of the edging left(see pictures) and might be repairable or restored. Red lens has chipping. Little over 8" high. 4.75" wide at the back. Tapers to 3" at the front. No identification marks.
