Markings: Full Inch- Patented March 1st 1864 Measurements: roughly 5 3/4 inches tall. 4 1/8 inch diameter above the rim where it would seat in the lantern Condition: very good. wick moves up and down freely& the top easily unthreads. There is some oxidation mostly around bottom rim. The weld for the handle on the bottom has come undone about 1/4 of the way across but is still sturdy. FREE SHIPPING!

This is a small gimbal lamp. Smallest I've seen. With chimney on, 9 1/2 inches. From base to threads just 4" tall. centers 3 1/2 inches out from wall) Made by Perkins and marked PERCO on both the weighted lamp base and the wall mount. This lamp suffers no damage and comes with a Miller# 0 flange or set screw burner. Burner is marked(thumbwheel) E. MILLER CO. MADE IN U. S. A. Its chimney has a base size of 1 5/8" Stands 4 7/8 inches. And is marked" MACBETH 462 PEARL GLASS MADE IN USA" with a tiny"0" below that. You can feel a tiny rough spot on its base edge, but its not damage. Chimney is clean top and bottom. Has a nice patina presently or will polish nicely depending on your taste. Measuring 22" tall(not including handle) width of about 11" The piece is painted but as far as I can tell the most or possibly the entirety of the piece is made of copper. The lantern is a forward facing type with mounting rings on each side, an access door on the back an a top hatch that looks down into from the chimney above. Inside the back hatch, the burner assembly is on a track and is removable. It appears to be an oil/kerosene burner with a large reflector. The glass globe appears to be intact. There are three attached metal labels or tags on the front. I will try to decipher them for you, due to age and paint there are partially legible. Great early font and burner for either a railroad or maritime lamp or lantern. Can't say which. But this assembly is for a very specific application, and is probably very rare and desireable if you know what you are looking at, and absolutely useless if not. Somewhere out there is a great nautical or railroad lamp or lantern desperately in need of this part. Hopefully it can go to the right home. Details are as follows: The greatest diameter is 4 1/4 inches. And as you can see in the images there are three pegs extending out from the sides of the font, evenly spaced at 120 degrees apart, so it goes into a very specific holder. With the burner it stands 6 inches high, and the burner is a standard American#2, with two spring clips to retain the early lip fitter type chimney. Two spring clips generally indicate to fluid lighting collectors ... morea railroad item. The burner appears to be an E.F. Jones, but it is not, and is marked WILLIAM S PACE& CO BOSTON. No patent date. Condition is about perfect. With no splits in the brass, no dents, and the burner is in good working order, with both spring clips for retaining the chimney intact and tight. This item is ready to go, if you have a use for it don't let it get away, and at my price if you are a collector or dealer in this type of lighting then it's a great item for your parts shelf. Marine Oil lamp from old port,stabord, lantern with flange burner & chimney
You are bidding on the oil lamp only! Not the lantern shown in the last pitcher. The picture of the lantern was borrowed from another dealer(with his permission) to show what the lantern that it came out of looked like. The Old Marine oil lamp is in mint condition. It is signed PERKO on the bottom of the lamp. The burner is signed Made in the USA and I think Miller but it is very hard to read. The rod going across the bottom Pick# 3 is to screw and lock the lamp in place in the lantern. The ends of the rod Pick#4 sticking out on either side are used to lock the lamp into the lantern. The lamp is 3 3/4" high 5 1/2" to the top of the burner 10 3/4" to thr top of the chimney and 4" in diameter. The burner will screw into a standard $2 collar. Up for bid is a vintage bow marker light fixture complete with oil burner made by Kilborn-Sauer Co. Out of Fairfield, Connecticut. The body is galvanized and top is brass. The top has written on it KILBORN-SAUER CO FAIRFIELD CONN U.S.A. The body is in good condition. Near the top rear the lip has small tear. The brass top has a small crack where it attaches to the galvanized metal. No cracks visible in glass but both pieces have several chips on the external ribs. The burner looks to be in working order and the wick screws up and down. You can use kerosene or bottled lamp oil that is easy to find. The tank appears clean and dry( I have not added oil to it. A small flash lite was temporarily inserted to show the colors of the lens) The burner twists counter-clockwise out of the bottom for easy refill and wick replacement.
