VERY RARE ANTIQUE JAPANESE NIPPON SENTO NAUTICAL SHIP BRASS LANTERN SIGNAL LAMP
For sale is an Antique Japanese Nippon Sento Co. Ltd. Ships Brass Oil Signal Lamp Lantern. This is a very rare lantern I have never seen another one like it listed on Ebay. The lamp is in excellent condition as evident by the photos. It has a very nice patina on the outside and looks great as is. Or can easily be polished for a brilliant shine. The lamp has a wooden handle, and on the left side of the lamp is a thumb toggle switch that opens and closes an aperture behind the lens that allows the light to have the appearance of turning on and off. I'm no expert, but I believe the lamp was designed for semaphore which is a method of using light to visually communicate with another ship, or from ship to shore, and vice a versa. The toggle switch works smoothly, and the door opens and closes freely. Please closely review all of the photos ... morefor the material condition of the lamp. The lamp has the original oil/kerosene pot, but it is missing the glass chimney and possibly a reflector that may have fit in the small rectangular slot at the end of the pot. Rare Vintage Ethan Allen Nautical Lantern Lamp
A rare vintage Ethan Allen featured nautical lamp. The beautiful lantern lamp has a flickering bulb in the lantern. And a 3 way light switch, which controls both the lamp and the lantern. On each side of the lantern is a railing with belaying pins, giving this lamp an authentic nautical look. The base of the lamp is 14" in length. 9.5" in width, and 2" in depth. The lamp stands 31" to the top of the harp where the shade sets. The shade measures 12" in diameter on top, 14" on the bottom, and is 12" in height. The wood on the lamp may have some scuffs marks or nicks, but it appears to be in great condition for it's age. This beautiful nautical lamp will definitely fit in with any decor.

Up for auction is a Pair of Antique Nautical Anchor Porch Lights/ Ship Lights. Back plate with rope and anchor is heavy and appears to be copper(magnet does not stick) Lamp Shades appear to be made from heavy tin like some of the old whale oil lamps(magnet does not stick) Surface is aged from natural weathering and shows authentic time honored oxidation and aged corrosion likely from salt in the ocean mist. Both lamps need new wiring. Antique Nautical Brass Lighthouse Lamp PAISTE Fixture-Keeper-House-Boat-Waves
I'm quite sure this classic lighthouse lamp is over 100 years old. I found the"PAISTE" label when I removed the glass cover and looked at the socket. This company produced the lion's share of their products in the 19th century. The photographs give you an idea of the details that give this lighthouse life. The keeper is holding his lamp as he looks to sea as waves lap onto shore upon his boots. You can see the house and a rowboat pulled ashore. The tones of bronze. Brass and copper show up under different lighting. It works as it should with no problems with the chain. Only a little fraying to the cord at it's base is present. The full height is 13 1/3 inches, and it's 7 1/4 inches across. I scoured the internet to find another and was unsuccessful.

NAUTICAL RED EMERGENCY SHIP LANTERN COPPER AND BRASS TABLE LAMP
Thank you for viewing this auction for is one. 1) brass and copper ship lamp converted to a table lamp. This is an old oil lamp that I believe served as a emergency light due to the red lens it has which shine 360 degrees. There are two thick heavy glass lenses on this light. The clear lens is the amplifying lens, and the inside lens is for giving the light the red color. This light is constructed of primarily copper and brass. There are also some iron components to this light, this includes the lens protectors and the two hanging brackets. The hanging brackets are used to not only hang the light vertically, but also to stabilize it from moving left to right, and front to back. There is no lamp inside of this lantern, it does no light up internally. This ship lantern appears to have been converted a long time ago; I believe at the very earliest ... moreit was made into a table lamp in the 1940’s. This is an older piece and I am unsure of the age. I am also unsure of a maker for this lamp for there are no maker marks I have been able to identify. Telling from its construction. There is a good chance this lantern is from a 19 th century ship. The condition of this lamp is old. There are multiple dents on this lantern. And appears to have been used heavily. This lamp no longer has its original oil burner, it was most likely discarded when it was converted to a table lamp. The mounting clips are still in place for accepting an oil burner. The red lens and clear reflector are intact with no cracks. The lamp is built to flex, so it does move and flex; the structure of the lamp is still sound. The lamp does work, and lights. I would suggest changing the cord if it is still desired to use as a table lamp; the cord is older, and the plug is not polarized. The copper and brass does have extensive corrosion and staining on it. Also there are a lot of dings and dents throughout. This old gimbaled oil lam p came from yacht. Probably a sailboat. And. Made of b ronze. Is heavily weighted(the base weighs more than 1 1/2 lbs) I t was meant to fit into a bracket. Its weighted base keeping it upright. The ch imney glass is wavy. Shows two casting lines and is 3/16 inch thick at t he top. The wi c k adjuster is marked England made and has other figures. Vintage Brass Nautical / Train Light Oil Lantern / Lamp
Here is a brass oil lamp marked made in England as it the burner it looks to be in very good condition. It may be off of a ship or train. It has a bracket to mount it to a bulkhead or a wall that is with it. Just mount the bracket to the bulkhead or wall and the lamp just slides into the bracket so it can removed to refuel the light. This is a Vintage Antique General Electric Industrial Copper Spotlight. It has been placed on a vintage hardwood tripod. The spotlight has beautiful patina throughout the piece. Vtg Nautical Ship Engine Gauge Telegraph Lamp Baldwin Brockett Ship Chandlery This is an outstanding vintage table lamp with nautical fittings. It is made of wood and antique brass with a ship's engine throttle gauge also known as a telegraph. I believe the wood is mahogany. Very handsome. The shade is the original shade for this lamp; it is drum style and made of linen with authentic rope trim detail. These telegraphs were used on a ship's officer bridge where the officer on deck would transmit orders to the engine room to change the engine speed. Gauges of this type were used on U S Navy and other large ships in the early 1900's. It is marked Baldwin-Brockett. Ship Chandlery, Milford, Conn. This lamp is in great condition and made in the USA. The wood has nice grain and color. The antique brass has a soft patina. The ship gauge ... morelooks great too. The wood lever on the gauge moves well and the engine commands are completely legible on the face. The lamp works very well. It takes a 3-Way bulb so you can adjust the lighting to suit the need: accent to reading. The socket. Plug and cord are all in great condition. I think it may have been rewired and a new socket fitted as the socket has a True Value tag on it and the plug and cord are pliable and in tip top condition. This lamp looks to have been well taken care of- very gently used with no issues to report. It is ready to use wherever you please. The lamp measures 36 1/2" High including the 1 1/2" brass finial at the top. The engine gauge face measures a 7 1/2" Diameter. The underside base of the lamp is covered in green felt and has an 8 7/8" Diameter. The handle of the gauge extends 5" from the face. The gauge handle easily moves and can be adjusted to lie close to the lamp base or extended out if you like. The shade is 16 1/4" High has a 15 3/8" diameter. We are offering a rare antique nautical lantern made by Eli Griffiths& Sons of Birmingham. England! This large all-weather lantern was likely made for maritime use in the late 19th or early 20th century and held a single large candle protected behind five removable panes of glass that each measure 3 1/2" x 8" It is an unusually large and durable design that is typical of use in industry. The lantern stands 13 1/2" in height(17 1/2" with the wooden handle raised) and 7 7/16" in diameter at the base. It weighs 4 lbs, 12 oz. The metal is copper in color but is magnetic and so most likely tin. The hinged lid with a lockable clasp opens and closes smoothly, and reveals the interior black paint to be in very good condition. The mount that holds the candle has a slit in the side that allows the excess wax to flow out, ... moreand the candle to be burned all the way down. Sherwood Birmingham Nautical Lantern Lamp 12" Judging from other similar lamps/lanterns this appears to be a Nautical Lantern with some age. However. I can’t be sure how old this lantern is. The only mark to be found on/in the lantern is SHERWOOD BHAM on the turn knob. Since this company made both lantern burners and the lanterns, my assumption is the lantern is from that factory. The lantern still has an old wet wick in it, probably old kerosene, but it(the wick) will need to be replaced as it no longer raises and lowers. The knob turns, however. Height of the lantern is approximately 12” not including the bail, with the wire cage around the clear glass globe approx. 6” in diameter. The metal is probably copper or brass, but I can’t be sure. This beautifully crafted lamp also has a ship’s anchor chained to a post wrapped with fisherman’s rope. There is also a one rope wooden pulley, which adds to the nautical theme of this unique lamp. The lamp is 18" in width, 14" in depth, and 32" in height to the top of the harp where the shade sets. The shade measures 6.5" in diameter on the top, 14" on the bottom, and is 11" in height. Up for auction is AN ORIGINAL VERY OLD vintage solid galvanized metal nautical Ship Anchor Lantern. The classic anchor lamp used on sailing ships for hundreds of years. The anchor lamp is machined in pure heavy-gauge steel sheet. The Fresnel style lens is made to magnify the oil lamp light to be visible for 20 nautical miles. The tops to the main body and the vent top are both hinged. Thus the top swings open for access and ease of cleaning. This all metal(except the frilled vent top, which is galvanized copper) is galvanized and shows its age. THIS IS NOT A REPRODUCTION. The anchor lamp is named for its use. The bottom is weighted, which I was thinking might indicate that it was to be used on a boat or ship. The only marking is on the knob and it has an R and V on each side of a anchor. I have had this a few years in my basement bar. But changing themes and it is time to let it go. I am not sure it is functional, but the way it is made I would expect that it might be. Antique ship nautical boat electric lamp light. Brass bronze coppper? Oakford
Up for auction to U.S. customers only is an old ship's light with Fresnel glass(no chips or cracks to glass) It stands 15 inches tall and the wire cage is 8 inches across. I am not sure if the primary metal is brass. Copper or bronze- or a combination-but a magnet doesn't stick to it. It is very heavy. It is made by Oakford. There is a light bulb socket inside but it probably isn't original and, without the cord plug, I can't test it. If it was originally electric powered, then the wire outlet on the side looks like it held a much larger power cord. The lid screws onto the top for access to the inside. I'm not sure how it was used on board the vessel- some other listings refer to it as a mast light, others describe it for use on dock pilings, others say it lit the passageways on the ship. If anyone knows for sure, let ... moreme know and I'll add it to the listing. Overall it seems in very good condition with a few relatively minor scratches to the lower finish and, of course, the green discoloration which some people call patina and want it left on the piece so I didn't try to clean up that section(new owner can do that) I don't know anything else about this item so please ask questions. Excellent condition Rare antique copper and brass ships lantern from the south Texas coast. Lantern was made by the R. L. MURRAY& Co. LIMITED. Pollockshaws Rd, Glascow S. 1. Also marked LAMPADS NO. 260 on another plaque. 1 other plaque is marked NOT UNDER COMMAND and the plaque below it reads S.A.R- S.A.S. The main body measures 13 inches tall by 11 inches across. Has both an upper and lower arm to allow it to swing with the ships movement. It has been electrified several and light up with a soft amber glow as shown in picture. Cord has an on/off switch built into the line. Super conversation piece for that man cave. Has been lightly scratched around screw near top edge as shown. This is an antique nautical maritime copper lantern ceiling. Porch, or hallway light fixture. It was manufactured by the Metrolite Manufacturing Co. The only info I could find on this company was from the 1930s which is likely commensurate with the age and patina on this lantern fixture. It measures 15 inches long from ceiling canopy to base. The base diameter of the lantern is 6-1/4 inches. The interior"jelly jar" glass measures 4-3/4 inches long and 4-1/4 inches in diameter. Vintage Rare Adlake Maritime Nautical Aluminum Electric Bridge Lamp No 1335. It has the red and green 60° draw span. Two green lenses and two red lenses 90° apart. The top and bottom caps are made of aluminum the bolts and stretchers between the lenses are made of cast-iron. It is electrified and it does work but I would recommend rewiring it just to be on the safe side. There is some rust and paint loss and it needs to be cleaned. The lenses are thick and heavy, made by Corning. The lenses have some chips but they are not cracked. It is about 11 1/2 inches tall and 8 1/2 inches wide. It is heavy about 16 1/2 pounds after it's packaged so shipping will be expensive I will try to ship the item as economical as possible. Please review all photos for item condition before bidding. It won't break my heart if I don't sell this item. I'll keep it and rig it up to become the coolest porch light in the neighborhood. A balloon cage ship's deck lamp made by the Perkins Marine Lamp and Hardware Corporation of Brooklyn. New York. This company is still going strong- a 5th generation family business now based in Florida and under the name of Perko Inc. Perko is also the product name of this item. This lamp is about 22 inches tall. And the diameter of the cage is about 14 inches. The red glass ball is slightly larger than a volleyball and slightly less than a basketball. The fuel canister is in working order- the wick rises and falls with the turn of the handle. the vessel doesn't look to have any leaks. Check the condition report and the photos for the problems this lamp has. Brass parts as well as the majority ... moreof the metal being perhaps a galvanized aluminum or thin steel. Two sets of two loops on either side of the lamp- I would assume the loops are there so the lamp can be mounted to something. This nifty vintage lantern could easily be converted to an electrical lamp if a buyer would choose to do so; or. Leave it original using some lamp oil to fill the canister and fuel the light. The barometer is a Carrington. Which was made in England. And appears to be in working order. The copper starboard oil lamp is a Tung Woo, which was made in Hong Kong. And is in excellent condition for its age. Since there is a small light bulb installed in the oil lamp, I am also including the original oil burner for the starboard lamp. The 3 way light switch controls both the lamp and lantern, so one can light both lamps or just one of them. The vintage ship in the bottle has a chain attached to the cork, which is anchored to a brass post on the base of the lamp.The base of this lamp is bordered with fisherman's rope, as is the back with ... morethe barometer.
