May very well have come from one of the Ironclad Steam Battleships on the Black Sea, I purchased this lantern from the estate of a very meticulous and discriminating lamp collector. This piece has undergone a no-harm electrification. Which can easily be removed. The original oil burner is wired to the underside of the chimney. The original font is in place. I have a brass marker lamp listed this week and this is a second mechanism. It has a wheel of sockets that holds 4 bulbs. As one burns out. The mechanism rotates and lights the next bulb. I can't find the manufacturer name on it. There are just some serial numbers. The mechanism measures about 5 inches across the base and about 6 inches to the top of a bulb. Nice vintage patina on this Perkins marine ships lamp. Great decorative piece for your nautical themed home. Would make Interesting repurpose project Measures approx 16" Note dents on pictures(does not distract from piece) Interesting History from website: The story starts with Frederick Persky. Who later became known as Frederick Perkins. He was a Russian immigrant who was schooled in Germany as a machinist and tool-and-die maker. Frederick came to the United States in the early 1890's and soon became employed as a machinist for E.W. Bliss& Company in Brooklyn, New York. In the early 1900's, he and a partner began operating a business, F. Persky& Company, Lantern Manufacturer, out of the basement of his house. In 1907. Frederick's son Louis joined him in the business, and together they enlarged both the product line ... moreand the manufacturing facilities. By 1912, they had seventeen employees and made a wide range of marine lanterns and products. The business continued operating until 1913 when Frederick became president of National Marine Lamp Company. Based out of Forestville, Connecticut. Frederick and Louis left that company in 1916 and moved back to Brooklyn, New York, where they started Perkins Marine Lamp Corporation. Five generations later, PERKO is still a privately owned, family operated corporation, which is unusual in today's marketplace.

Vintage Ships Binnacle Compass Oil Lamp Converted to Electric Nautical Maritime
This is a great find. This is an authentic vintage ships binnacle compass with built in oil or gas lamp. But this one has been converted to an electric table lamp. The little side cubby that would originally hold the oil now holds a small bulb and of course, another bulb at the top. Mounted on a nice wooden base, felted bottom. The compass/dial has been set so it does not move. I left the wonderful patina, but it could be cleaned and shined. I find no dings or dents. Up for bid is a vintage bow marker light fixture complete with oil burner made by Kilborn-Sauer Co. Out of Fairfield, Connecticut. The body is galvanized and top is brass. The top has written on it KILBORN-SAUER CO FAIRFIELD CONN U.S.A. The body is in good condition. Near the top rear the lip has small tear. The brass top has a small crack where it attaches to the galvanized metal. No cracks visible in glass but both pieces have several chips on the external ribs. The burner looks to be in working order and the wick screws up and down. You can use kerosene or bottled lamp oil that is easy to find. The tank appears clean and dry( I have not added oil to it. The globes screw into a aluminum fitting on a thicker metal mounting flange. Aluminum has some denting, but doesn't effect the globe attachment. Metal flange has some paint loss with surface rust. Easy to install. Each glass globe is approx. 6" entire light measures 7" Have not been tested. For safety purposes would recommend re-wiring.

Vintage Nautical Weighted Oil Lamp, Gimbal-Mount Brass Boat Lantern w/ Chimney
Antique Brass Ship's Oil Lantern. Looks like it was never used. Very nice condition; only one small dent in the wick assembly. And that can probably be pushed back from behind the guard very easily. There is no maker's mark or logo on the lamp. But there is an"RV" and an anchor on the wick turn knob. The glass chimney appears to be original to the lamp. Dimensions: 12 7/8" overall. 5 3/4" from back of mounting plate for the gimbal to the outside of the lamp. Chimney measures 6 7/8" in height and is 3 1/4" in diameter, the lamp body measures 7 1/2" tall and is 3 1/2" in diameter and 4 1/4" total width including the gimbal mounting pins that project 3/8" from either side of the lamp body. Offered with no reserve. A rare Perkins Marine Lamp. This is made by the Perkins Marine Lamp and Hardware Company of Brooklyn New York. Has a small brass ID tag just under the toggle switch. See picture#3. The lamp stands 15" tall and is 7" in diameter at the base. Copper construction. Features 2 tie down hooks at the base. Also has hook on the top cover. There are several metal"arms" that protect the globe. One of these is missing the top screw. See second to last picture. This is a dry cell battery operated lamp. It appears the necessary wires are in place. Here's a neat vintage item with red glass on one side and green on the other.several small chips. I believe it is brass. see photos for a better condition insight. It is dented on back of lamp and missing one screw. it appears to be adjustable. I have not truly cleaned this item. The base is almost 4 1/2" in diameter and is stamped. S&J. This is STEELE& JOHNSON(boat,house) I'm not sure what year it was made(30's,40's? although it is from an old estate. the height is about 7" at that angle. I don't know if it could be wired? Vintage Large SEXTON Nautical Brass Wood Table Lamp Light
This auction is for a vintage large sexton nautical brass and wood table lamp light with rope shade. It measures approx. 37" to the top and the oak wooden crate box measures approx. 8" x 8" x 10" in size. The widest part of the lamp rope shade is approx. 18 1/2" across. This item is in used condition. The lamp is good with only minimal wear. The shade isn't in pristine condition. The inner plastic liner has a few cracks that you don't see unless you look down into the shade. Also around the top of the wire ring it looks like the adhesive or tape has worn off over the years. This is a nautical theme hand painted wood table lamp with a lighthouse seagulls sailing ships sailboats and ocean. It has a crackle type surface and is hand painted. The pictures do not do it justice. The colors are very strong. blue white black green yellow red. It is a gorgeous lamp. It works great. It does not come with a shade. It is 28" tall to the top, the base is about 15" tall. It was bought at an antique shop, but I think it is Vintage. It has a sticker at the bottom that says Shady Lady.

This is a very old oil lamp of some kind. Round.Solid brass, top unscrews to refill it. Wick is nice,yet. See pics. This is the only part i have. There are 2nubs on the side of lamp. One on each side of brass ball see pics. I do not know what this balanced on, but obviously, that is what it did,see pics. That makes me think naut,ical. But honestly dont know. VINTAGE ANTIQUE SHIPS LANTERN LARGE NAUTICAL LAMP with SHADE
Estate Find. This very large maritime lantern converted to a lamp. In full working order. Use light in lantern or light on top or both. Not sure of the metal. This lantern is mounted on a solid wood base and comes with original paper shade that is covered with a nautical collage theme. Think it was wall paper glued to shade. Does need some regluing. Shade is 15" x 15"Lantern has clear glass encased in thick metal wire. Has on off switch on top. Lantern is approx. 16" with base not including dowel that holds light bulb and shade. There are a couple of dents on top of lantern. Very old piece with a lot of character and who can imagine the history. Check out photos Light Bulb not included.
